Talavera Apartments, San Antonio TX

For the 2nd time since I have lived here in 3 years my shower walls have had to be repaired. This 2nd time they came out I was told by the contractor and the lead maintenance man that it was so bad behind the wall that they even had to replace the 2x4's. I caught the contractor using regular sheet rock in the shower enclosure, which anyone with half a brain cell knows not to use in a shower. Maintenance lead at the complex knew the contractor was using the wrong materials but didn't stop them from doing it wrong. This contractor even said "I put this in all the showers I do here". I pressed this issue and had them tear down the sheet rock and tile that they were almost done installing. When the tile and sheet rock they had just put up was torn out it revealed that the rotted boards and insulation covered in mold were never replaced. After bringing to the apartments attention and telling them I did not want those contractors in my apartment again. Next morning the same hack contractors that have no clue what they are doing are at my door. At this point I'm waiting for a 2nd contractor to complete the work. Pictures posted are of the wall they replaced and had to take down again exposing the mold and rot they claimed they had already replaced. Pure negligence on the complex management team. They are hiring unprofessional and unqualified contractors and are not overseeing the quality and exposing tenants to health hazards.

NOT YOUR SECURE LIVING PLACE. GATE OPEN FOR 2 YEARS. LAME EXCUSES FOLLOWED. SAME WITH FOUR MONTHS NO MAIL BOXES DUE TO THEFT OF MAIL

I had a part of my car (catalytic) stolen from inside the apartment complex… the gates are not working for months! Anyone can have access to every part of the complex… but not to the mail box, because it is also broken and they locked the door. Be aware.

The place is incredible and Debora is very kind she supported me with the whole process, everything was very fast and convinient.

Overall best experience I have encountered living at Talavera. The apartments and the surrounding area is beautiful, quiet and the folks at the office are WONDERFUL @Debora G! I highly recommend!

If you plan on living here make sure you don’t get an apartment by the pool if you have a baby or work night shifts and plan on sleeping during the day. They will wake you up EVERY morning at 7: 30 AM with a leaf blower blowing by the pool AND right outside of your door to “clean” their show home. They will also cut the grass really early making it impossible to sleep in if you had a long day or will wake your sleeping baby. It’s ridiculous the amount of noise they make every single morning.

The gate has not been fixed in months. They charged to give a key to open the gate when you enter yet it was never fixed therefore anyone can enter the complex.
The mail has been broken into several times in the past three months exposing everyone’s mail and they have locked the gate for a while now so we can’t get our mail which is illegal. The club house is also unavailable most of the time with the exception of the gym.

Some tenants don’t pick up after their dogs need to be careful where you step.

Gate been broke for 2 years, mailbox area is locked for over a month, which is illegal. Staff changes every few months and is unhelpful. Maintenance guys are cool tho

Good: Storage space on apartment is great. Appliances nice Big balcony, Big bathrooms, space very good. All closets big! Love community is gated & amazon hub, communication from office- emails is great! Very quiet at night! Trash pick up is a nice extra service as utilities being handled for us! Location! Perfect! Evetything is right here!

Not so good: Complex is not Luxury definitively! Maybe on 90s! Buildings are old, very dirty! Smelly! Tenants dont pick up after their dogs! Parking is limited, very tight spaces. Pool is dirty! Apartment itself wasnt verified prior move in, I'd have expected prior check with 2,3 week notice of moving in, for great service. Apartment is clean, but not luxury, lot of water damaged by prior tenants on cabinets, very poor mtnce prior. Should upgrade cabinets, countertops to stone, & carpets to tile or waterproof vinyl, front door completly damaged paint. Pressure wash aisles, tight up stairsthen it would give an impresion of lux.

This apartments are ready to accommodate your needs and your wants. The apartment complex that I was supposed to move in wasn't ready and had some sanitary issue like mold in their bathtub. The front desk staff, Deborah, did an amazing job accommodating me in the urgency of getting an apartment. The apartments are phenomenal, they are handed to you clean and they really do give a sense of security. It is located in a great area.

Everything about this place is a 10/10 but more specifically the maintenance staff have been a great pleasure to work with. Sam is the best, he’s always quick to respond and efficient. Love it here.

I’ve lived at Talavera for 6 years now and I am absolutely happy with my experience so far. Maintenance is quick and the office staff is responsive. If the rents don’t get to sky high I’ll certainly be staying for many more years to come.

Sam is truly the best! He really is the shining star out of the entire maintenance team. He goes above and beyond for my son and I and is always willing to stop what he's doing and offer a hand. I have been here for 3 yrs now and anytime I have an issue, if he doesn't address it, it's never done correctly.

I love the service and the way they treated me especially Debora Gonzalez she was very knowledge and service was excellent I enjoyed doing The apartment tour. Highly recommend

I have had nothing but great experiences here. I want to specifically point out that maintenance has always been amazing. Sam has always gone above and beyond to help me out.there has been times where i ran into him and just mentioned a maintenance issue, and he showed up the same day and fixed it.once he stayed late, after hours, the day before a holiday to work on my ac. Sam has been awesome in making my experience here pleasurable worry free.

I really appreciate how maintenence staff work very hard to get things fixed right away, even though they have so many work orders to do at the same time. I really appreciate how Sam in maintenance handled my request. Thank you Sam!
