Tamales Don Pepe, Houston TX

Went to this place the first time because my daughter loves breakfast tacos. Their breakfast tacos are DELICIOUS! Also tried their Nopales plate which is very good as well, cafe de Olla, churros - everything was top notch. The servers can be a bit slow and the plates are a bit pricey but totally worth it!

Been coming here for years. The food is delicious and quick, the employees are friendly, and it's always very clean.

Our Favorite breakfast spot. Authentic food, friendly owner. For lunch get the mole chicken enchiladas. Try the spin off a few blocks away Pepe's Burgers and Margs.

Tamales Don Pepe is a favorite breakfast destination. My favorite is the scrambled eggs à la Mexicana platter. This dish is packed with flavor. They are always consistent in their flavor and portions.

Saturday morning breakfast was great. Can't wait to go back and try other things. Very nice people.

The name is why I came. I am always down for good tamales. I ordered one tamale, one carnita and beef taco. Everything had a good flavor. The tamale masa was well seasoned, and the pork was tender and well seasoned. My only issue is that it was mostly masa. I am not going to say anything negative because tamales are all made differently. Some people may like them this way.

For those of you who don't really know Mexican food this is good, but it's really NOT good. My experience was bad in the treatment of me and my family, I felt that there was discrimination.

I got a sandwich to go, and it was great. I would love to go back and have enough time to sit down and enjoy!

The best tamales in Houston. I have been here twice and the flavors are amazing. This most recent time I had chilaquiles with egg and they were AMAZING. If they opened a location in the northwest. I will be there every week! Go, thank me later

Delicious breakfast of eggs and beef chilaquilas. I came back a couple days later and the manager (I think), remembered my order! Wonderful old-world food, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Love this place!

An amazing little spot! Great food and so comfortable just to relax and eat. Wish they where open later though. Would be there more often.

Delicious food! The tamales were perfect- the masa was light and moist. We tried the pork & black bean and cheese. We loved the chilaquiles! Fajita was perfectly seasoned and salsa's were delicious! Quick service and courteous team. We will definitely be back!

Menu is to your left when walking in, you'll order at the front counter and sit down to receive your food, service was very friendly

Food presentation looked great, but I personally wasn't impressed by what I ate which was the Pepe's Breakfast Plate, perhaps I chose the wrong item to order

Coming from Pasadena, I'll stick to dining Mexican food there or go somewhere else around the area to try.

Really good food. Wide selection of items: At first, I thought it was only tamales, but they offer a good selection of breakfast and other Mexican dishes.

Food was ok.had better. Pricey for breakfast and you don't get much. Tried it but would not recommend. There's other choices where you get more for your money.
