Japanese Restaurant Tamashi reviews
20Overall great service and amazing food. Rainy and cold weather is perfect to get some great Ramen. Highly recommend
The location on 43rd has a long way to go to catch up to the Silber location. The food maintains its consistent flavor and deliciousness. The staff, on the other hand, needs some work before meeting any expectations. It may have not bothered me too much to be moved after I sat down to accommodate another table, but with an hour left in service, the constant rushing to clear my table as I'm eating and get me out the door is incredibly rude. My companion had barely put the last sushi piece into her mouth before the waitress reached over and took her plate and chopsticks. Am I allowed to chew before you rudely reach over to clear my table? The staff needs quite a bit of training in this regard and will sway my next choice in locations.
This place is delicious. I always order on uber eats. Have never been to the resturant i have had the ramen the chashudon and the sushi. All absolutely amazing.
The service here has been consistently poor. The only thing they do well is getting your order wrong. If you enjoy being sandwiched in between other small tables bustling with loud families then this is your place. Being located in the blandest part of houston has ensured the locals don’t notice how bland the food is. The curry ramen is, however, quite lovely but not sufficient enough to pull this restaurant from a nose dive into sub mediocrity.
I love the food here and typically have good service but the waitress today (Mia) was extremely uninviting and not pleasant at all. So sad bc I love the food here but probably will not come back to this location due to service. No greeting, no thank you, nothing.
Love this place. Super cute, lowkey. Ramen & sushi are super bomb. Very well priced, service is great. I came here like 2 x per week for about a month straight.
This is a cozy and very cute restaurant.
The service is excellent.
The miso soup was bland, lukewarm, and just lacking flavor.
Gyozas were fine.
Brussel sprouts excellent.
Sushi was ho-hum.
They tried to uncharge to substitute salmon for imitation crab. These people are money hungry and do not care about the customers. Salmon cost more than imitation crab, why would you upcharge for that?
As today July 5th. 2023, it’s closed
They should leave at least a message in the phone
It is killing me that I visited this place years ago, but I do not remember when or with who. Anyway, I went with the intention of trying a new ramen place, and this one had the highest ratings in the area. The place sure is a little small inside, but it wasn't full, so it was fine. The service was decent too, and we got served pretty quickly. I think they were playing some pop in the background for ambiance. As for the food, I got a spicy miso ramen bowl, gyoza, and my cousin got a sushi roll. I picked mild for my spice level, but I think I would have been fine at the higher one. I think the place was a safe choice; the food was good, the service was good, and the ambiance was okay, but nothing too out of the ordinary. I would go again for sure if I am in the area and in the mood for a promised comfortable and fresh meal.
This place had some delicious food!
We ordered the Curry Tsukemen, Tonkotsu & Tiger Roll. All were very good.
The only thing that sucked was that we are a family of 7 and there was nowhere for all of us to sit. They had one large table in the center that could fit 8 but someone was sitting at the end so we had to wait. My husband and 2 of our children decided to go to a restaurant a couple doors away instead so me and my other girls could eat since we love ramen more.
Overall the food was delicious and if it were just me and 1-3 kids I’d def go back!
Kaarage chicken was so good. Sushi rolls came out quickly and were filled well. I wasnt a huge fan of the ramen but it's probably just personal preference. It had a generous amount of meat and noodles.
The sushi is very fresh, truly divine, very pleasant service, affordable prices and the space is incredible and very warm to spend a pleasant and pleasant time.
Ramen is good but the waitress was weird and rude. She also kept reaching over us to take tiny trash such as straw wrappings while we were eating. We just wanted to be left alone to eat and not have someone reaching over or between us
We go here regularly it’s not fancy but it’s cozy and the food is so consistent. We love the Brussels and Salomon don.
My first time here dining in. Small very clean and the staff is very friendly. I had the spicy Tonkatsu, delicious. I’ll be back soon.
Everything is incredible. Clean, fast friendly, great priced, we had 5 rolls and ramen and appetizers. All awesome
The mid level spice for their ramen dishes are perfect. Not too blan or too spicy. Tamashi is the only place I want to go for ramen.
The waitress was very nice like always, and the Spicy Miso Hot Ramen is 10/10 every time. I've been 10+ times and it's always great here.
Sushi here is so yummy and fresh, I literally will eat myself sick here. I never liked brussel sprouts until I had theirs. Could not get enough it's so amazing! They are quick on service even when they are busy, and do not mind if you request changes to your food. Just love it here!
