Tao's Clinic - Acupuncture & Herbs reviews
12I read the reviews and thought, no way, he's probably like the rest. I was WRONG! My back pain from herniated discs, GONE. My sciatica from the herniated discs. RELIEVED! This was within the first few minutes after the needles went in. Do I recommend Dr. Tao? Yes! Will I let anyone know my preferred dates to visit? Absolutely NOT!
For over 15 years my fingertips have been numb. I have had pain in my wrists, elbows and shoulders. After one visit with Dr. Tao numbness is almost non-existent and the pain has almost completely dissappeared. I am looking forward to additional appointments with Dr. Tao and the improvements to my health.
I have been a patient of Dr. Taos now since 2011 after a massage therapist at Massage Envy recommended I go to him since my back was still a rock after every 90 min sessions (I think her hands felt the pain)! I thank her everyday! I go into his office off and on throughout the years as my neck and back pain hinders my day to day life & work life since I live on my feet with 12 hour days. I was in a fatal roll over car accident in 2008 and my back and neck have never been the same. I did do a lot of physical therapy, chiropractor sessions, they do feel good, but acupuncture is what seems to work the best, relieving muscle tension, ligament pain, helping to align my spine again. I have also gone to him when my knee decided to act up and a few needles did the trick! I am able to go to him on/off because I’m pain free, I can live my life. For me, a few sessions a year does the trick! His natural approach keeps me from dealing with other side effects and medication complications! I have taken my parents to him and my sister and brother in law. You gotta check him out!
I witnessed another patient be harrased by the front desk about his co pay. Vey rude and not willing to provide great customer service. She then pretended to act like she was going to call his insurance to verify what he was saying but she lied and he had to call so she could hear them say he didnt have a co pay. She continued to tell him that he didnt know what he was talking about and the manager was not helpful either.
Terrible customer service and staff is rude. Lied about calling insurance about co pay and instead of apologizing she remained rude and unwilling to admit where she was wrong. Manager not willing to help. Take your business elsewhere
Dr. Tao is very friendly and knowledgeable about different disease states and treatments. He takes time to listen my concerns and is sympathetic to what I have gone through. He has a good ethic in treating his patients. I am so happy to find such a good acupuncturist and Chinese herbal doctor in Dallas area. Highly recommend Dr. Tao if you are finding an acupuncturist or Chinese herbal doctor.
I have been seeing Dr. Tao for a specific situation. It never occurred to me to mention that after breast cancer surgery in December I had not been able to lift my arm. I had been going to Physical Therapy for 2 months twice a week to work with this issue. Last week, after my reevaluation I was told that I was close to reach my potential. The scar tissue was not going to allow my arm to move much more. I mentioned this to Dr. Tao, he says: “After your session today, I’ll fix you”. Did he fixed me? Wow! It took him less than a minute! He put 4 needles and asked me to raise my arm. My arm was suddenly completely normal! As it was 10 months ago, as my right arm!
I have been coming here for a few years and every time I come here for any treatment it makes me feel better. The doctor is super nice and is very smart and knows what he’s doing. I recommend this facility if you’re looking to get better.
Dr. Tao is very knowledgeable, and he never takes your hope away like some doctors in conventional medicine. He works with my insurance, which is very nice because most acupuncture doctors do not work with insurance, even if they say they do. He works with herbs, which is not covered by insurance, but they are very important for the full treatment. The cost for the herbs is not expensive.
He tries to upcharge on random herbs and patches instead of working within my insurance. He’s also very pushy and hard to work with.
Dr Richard Tao is a genius! If modern medicine has failed you, as it did me, your healing may await you here. It isn’t so much that he THINKS he can help you. Dr Tao’s faith and surety in his medicinal practice and approach are a driving factor for my return. I came to him after three months of agonizingly painful carpal tunnel. Dr Richard Tao sent me home within about 30 minutes after I arrived, pain free. When he said, “I’ll put one needle in your neck and it will disappear, ” I thought that he had lost it, having never met him.within 3-5 minutes after his outrageous claim, the pain was gone, and my arms were pain free. I can not recommend this Dr and his practice enough!
