Taqueria La Estrella, Mineral Wells TX

This is the best place to eat in Mineral Wells. I've become spoiled to how good their food is that I don't want Mexican food from anywhere else.

Today we had ordered the combo fajita lunch plater the cost is $12.95 we got Two cold flour tortillas and raw onions with 3 slices of very thin sliced of chicken and beef fajita strips very thin The best thing was like at least a cup of raw onions with two slices of bell peppers raw not sautéed a serving of half refried beans and under cooked rice. When I asked the waitress was very rude As a person that has come and enjoyed the food and service here today was terrible and I a will no longer be coming here. I will not recommend this location. So we payed 30.99 for some raw onions shame shame ….

Ordered cup of tortilla soup and shrimp fajita. Soup came in SAUCER. $6.60? Half of fajita was unpeeled onion. Let know to waiter: "Sorry about that! ". Still been charged full price. $21 shrimp fajita.

We went to this place based on good reviews. It was horrible. The atmosphere almost tricked us into believing it would be a good Mexican food place. We ordered a variety of things from the unexpectedly large menu. Everything was trash. Tortillas were hard and felt like they were microwaved. Beef was tasteless. Any broth was watered down. The only positives were the chips and beans. We also ordered drinks and they were not good. We didn't eat our food and left most of it on the table. Waitress was horrible as well. We had to chase her down to get anything, and when we asked questions, she was clueless. If you're craving good Mexican food, I would suggest Taco Bell over this place. Don't waste your time.

Experience was terrible.margaritas tasted like old sink water, food was not cooked well, waitress was beyond rude and even after talking to the manager still no help. I would not Recommend eating here just a terrible place In general.

The food is always great and service is always even better! Taquiera will forever be my favorite sit down food place in town!

This place is hit and miss. The food is decent depending on what you order. The service is a good as the server you get. The atmosphere is what you would expect for a Mexican food establishment.

This restaurant was such a disappointment. I was expecting actual authentic Mexican food but On the Border is more 'authentic' and tastes better than this. I will say the chips, rice and beans were pretty good but everything else was TRASH. The tortillas tasted like they were overcooked or warmed up in the microwave and just wrong. The birria de res was not cooked right, was way too watered down and the meat barely had a flavor. Definitely will NEVER be returning.

Super fun place! Food seems authentic and is always delicious:) Rice and beans always are warm and well-seasoned. Floor could sometimes use some sweeping but oh, well.

Our table wasn’t very clean, and our waitress made it seem like we asked her to kick a baby when we asked for a wipe down. The food was damn near ice cold and tres leche cake had a rancid aftertaste. I would not recommend coming here.

Been there a quite a few times and every time it's like fights start there and staff treat customers very poorly. Especially customers who get takeout.
