Taqueria Mariscos El Marinero, Universal City TX

Normally food is ok not always hot. Today I go through order 3 bacon potatoes an cheese and drive 5 mins to my house. Food is cold no heat to them. I called and they said well if they we’re in front of the AC in your car it would’ve called them down. That is not true For one because normally when I drive through there in the mornings they’re warm by the time I get home. And for two they were nowhere near my AC they were wrapped up in foil in their bags. The tacos themselves even feel cold through the foil.

We have driven by this place so many times and finally decided to try it today. My husband LOVES seafood. This place hits all the points on my dining experience checklist.

️AMBIANCE - this is actually most important on my list. It's the feeling I get when I eat there, the decor and the quality of the dining room. They have beautiful murals, nice decor and booths that make it feel intimate.

️DELICIOUS FOOD - the food is so fresh. You can tell it's made fresh and not just sitting. They also have a kids menu and basic fried seafood as well as traditional tex-mex items.

️VARIETY - there are over 90 items on the menu plus bottles beer, frozen drinks and cool beers with shrimp in them

️REASONABLE PRICES - There is a a variety of pricing but overall, everything is super reasonable!

Friendly service, great experience! 10/10 recommend!

I do not recommend coming here for authentic Mariscos. The waitress are rude forget about your table and laugh when they forget your stuff you asked for. The guy manager there also doesn’t care when we told him about our concerns. Don’t come here

Love love love the mariscos here. They are always so fresh and they cook octopus very well here. I love the tostadas, the shrimp ceviches, the campechanas, and the agua chiles. My partner had the mini tacos and he loves them as well.

Fresh and delicious! Reasonable prices for amazing food. It tastes better than Bucanero for less money. They offer seafood along with Mexican dishes and some American. Service was outstanding. Will definitely come back!

Don’t go here not if your trying to eat seafood this place is nasty and have old lemons and tostadas. Order a sea food plate and it was very sour like I was eating a sour patch candy. I told the manager I don’t like it if he can please take it off my tab. He said no that another waitress that didn’t help me said I finished half of it… but you can clearly see I didn’t. They made me pay HALF of the plate. Don’t come here they will take your money even thou they messed up on the food… you woke hard for your money spend it someone else.

They have a very large menu and vast selection of some very good TexMex foods. Very good adult beverages and a friendly staff. Hidden Gem located in Universal City.

The service was good, they serve me chips with salsa the wating time for my order was 10 mints I order a shrimp soup that's was delicious the only thing is that it wasn't the many shrimps on my soup but other than that everything else was good and the flavor of the soup was delicious.thank you and God bless

Service was great, but the tortillas soup looks delicious big chunks of chicken and all the other good ingredients.but it was sooo salty couldn't eat it, everything else was good.

Pretty good food except for I do not like tilapia they should have a little better fish there but the Mexican food is good, The waitresses that work there are very kind and very respectful I will go back except I will not order the The fish

Veterans, disabled or not, can no longer get a discount. Only active duty military. Wow. Gave me a problem before with my veteran ID, now it’s changed. Will no longer come here until it’s changed. Either give it to ALL military or do not give it AT ALL!

Just ordered mini tacos and asked for my meat to be done medium, the cashier informed me that they can't make fresh meat they need to get rid of the meat they have there. And this is the meat I got. Wow.that's sad for a restaurant to say that. I work for taco p and if people order their meat a certain way thats how they get it. I just it all depends on the management.sorry management sorry food.

Wow this is the 3 time they get my order wrong. Its 2 tacos how hard can that be. And I called and ask yo speak to a manager. The lady I spoke to said they have no manager till after 3. What kind of manager leaves their employees without a lead. How do you run a restaurant without management. So now I have to go to work without eating breakfast. Thank you for nothing. I will be going back with my wrong order after I get out of work for a refund.
