Taqueria Taxco, Mesquite TX

I've been a few times and just about everything I've ordered has been good. We ordered nachos and a lb of trompo meat. She said the family pack comes with grilled onions, lime, cilantro, and tortillas, but we got radishes, lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, and regular onions. I love eating grilled onions with my tacos, but oh well I guess. They only give you 8 tortillas and you have to pay for extra. How do they expect you to eat all that meat with 8 tortillas? The nachos were really good, as well as the trompo meat. Comes very close to the tacos de trompo we had in Mexico. It was crispy and seasoned, cooked perfectly. I will be back to try the posole on a Thursday. I also got 1 caramel and 1 cream churros. They were ok need more filling, I've had better elsewhere.

This place has gone downhill since the new management started. They charge for everything and are stingy with the food. Customer service is definitely lacking here now.

The cashier was this morning is so friendly and smiling I think her name is lili she is so nice and very professional whit the customer

Ordered a parrillada, sooo NOT worth $25+ the bell peppers weren’t even cooked. Shrimp looked like they picked them out from a ramen noodle cup! Just the portion over all wasn’t even for two, it was more like for (maybe) one person just with extra bell peppers and onion to make it look like it was a lot. And to top it of the customer service wasn’t the best. Didn’t exactly feel welcomed, the girl at the front had a RBF and we could bealry even hear her! Seriously don’t even waste your time. Definitely won’t be going back and WON’T be recommending it!

Best elotes in mesquite! Corn on the cob not that nasty canned corn guys! Cheesy and great tasting salsa!

Love their trompo tacos it was delicious better than most taqueria shops that have their store named after trompo but not make it tasty and extremely pricey.this store has reasonable prices and great food

Great service! Pretty darn quick BUT definitely not fast food. Delish and authentic. Great atmosphere not extravagant but cosy. VERY AFFORDABLE.

Tacos wasn’t bad. I like the variety of salsa’s and beef fajita meat, it was okay. The chicken meat looked like grilled chicken meat you get from Walmart.it wasn’t bad though. They are overpriced. I’ve had better so they don’t have the best tacos to me

I friggin love this place and I come here almost every day. The people are awesome and the food is amazing! You’ve got to try it.

Been going here for YEARS.normally my hubby goes in and will get us bacon egg and cheese sammiches.freaking delish! Same for the breakky tacos (we get bacon and chorizo). Trompo tacos are a great value, especially with the abundance of toppings they give you to go on them. The red and avocado green salsas are my favo. Definitely a must try.

A lot of the negative reviews seem questionable (especially the ones recommending other local taquerias). All I can say is.don't base your decision on giving this place a try from a couple bad reviews. TRY IT FOR YOURSELF! What have you got to lose other than a couple bucks because this place is super inexpensive! Too bad this place isnt open 24hr because a 4am BEC sammich sounds good right now.lol

One of my Favorite places to eat the in the area of mesquite "Taqueria Taxco" DELICIOUS, I could eat it everyday! Very friendly staff especially in the A.m on weekday Noheleiia & Mariana are the Best!

I love the Tromp tacos here. Great value for your money. The different salsas are flavorful, too. I used to drop by here about once a week. Now that I live out of state, I miss their tacos.: (

Slow as ever. First time here. Just ordered bacon and egg burrito. Took 15 minutes just to get that. Whataburger down the street moves faster. And burrito wasn't even all that great!

We typically go for breakfast, but the food is great. They have great mexican-style coffee! But the service is a little questionable. There are a couple employees who we avoid and have had terrible experiences with-both in instances where the menu or restaurant says one thing and they do not honor it. For instance-the advertisement on the front glass says free coffee with a breakfast plate, but we have had arguments with an employee about whether or not its free when we order a breakfast plate. Its a little asinine because we point out what the glass specifically says and she has no response besides "coffee is $x.xx" another instance, different employee: the menu for breakfast plates says to "choose 2 sides: beans, rice, or potatoes". I chose beans and potatoes but she wanted to upcharge us for potatoes because we were substituting an item.even though the menu says to choose 2 sides from the list of 3 options. Like the other employee, she had no response besides "i see the menu says that but potatoes cost $x.xx more".

Tldr; the food is really great but i avoid going most of the time because the employees go against the cost of items advertised.
