Taqueria Zacatecas, Waco TX

I have yet to find a place since graduating from Baylor and moving away from Waco that compares to Taqueria Zacatecas. The food is amazing, the staff members are kind, and the pricing is very fair in my opinion. I think about taking a road trip to Waco specifically for Zacatecas tacos all the time. It would be worth every mile and every drop of gas used. Please support them if you are in Waco!

Great tacos, chilled atmosphere. The al pastor and birria were great; the cabeza not so much.

I was in town for work and decided on something “light” for dinner. This restaurant gives a food truck feel but with a dine in option. I ordered the fajita chicken quesadilla and two beef fajita tacos on corn. Order took about 10 minutes or so. It smelled great! The quesadilla was okay. Very cheesy if you like more cheese than chicken. I prefer an even ratio so I give the quesadilla three stars. But five stars go for the tacos! I can get that all day everyday! Delicious, flavorful, and full of meat. It was so good and I wished I would have gotten more. But it’s a great gem in the city of Waco so I definitely recommend. It gives authentic Mexican food that’s not Tex mex.

This has been one of our favorite places for years! Every time we come to Waco we try to get food from here because it is just that good!

The Barbuda tacos were really good small but good pretty quick open when others are not

I moved out here to Waco from California and my buddy told me about this place. I had this carnita sandwich and it was amazing! You can tell the cooks put their heart & soul into their food. Definitely will be coming back

A friend of mine got me some tacos, they were great. Hear a lot of good things about this place

Precisely yesterday Saturday 5/20/23 around 1 pm we placed an order for 2 plates of quesabirrias and another order for 3 different tacos was order number 44 to be exact. All good we enjoyed our meal there. But in the afternoon around 6 pm the 2 people, one of them a minor, who ate the quesabirrias started with fever and vomited and they had to go to the hospital.

Pretty nice place. Went on Cinco de mayo so it was really busy. Had a great time. Just didn't like that they put salt around my Pina colada instead of sugar
But they corrected it for me. Didn't take a picture of my food but it was very good.

Y dis place so popular all da sudden!? ! The boy gets some tacos wit his friend and now dis all I here bout. Go after prom and now we takin it up to his school fo lunch! Tastes ight, mayb one day I'll get my own. Service is efficient and I bet da college children frequent here.

Omg! When I say they have the BEST BIRRIA IN AMERICA I mean just that lol… Nobody in Waco or anywhere I have EVER tasted is as good. I love their birria real bad the barbocoa tortas is also always a must have. My favorite place, moving across town hurt my feelings but I still make that drive faithfully.

I’ve been coming here since it was a trailer and a gravel lot. Now it’s a beautiful brick and mortar! Best Al Pastor Torta in town! Love the quesadillas and the quesabirria tacos y the consume is Amazing family and great customer service.

Very organized, how they run their drive through most of all everything on the menu is just great prices are decent.

The only reason I give 4 stars is because is so hart to get out of the parking lot having the drive thru line in the way and not having enough space to get out
