Department Store Target reviews
20 Just moved back down south and I’m missing the Arboretum and Lakeline Target stores a lot right now! The managers at this location are aloof at best, rude at worst and as a longtime Target Bullseye Member and avid Target App user who almost solely shops at Target, I’m super bummed that this is the bigger, better stocked locations of the two in close proximity to my new place.
I often shop late because I have a service animal and need a low stress/less busy experience. Instead of announcing closing time over the speaker, they send the youngest employees with the least experience out to hunt customers and stalk you until you head up to check out. I love when they ask me if they can help me and then walk away before I can ask where something is or give me bad instructions on where something is.
The reason I’m writing this review though is the price match policy that they make so uncomfortable and blown out of proportion that I don’t even want to shop here anymore. It takes 2 seconds to scan a barcode with the Target app to check for Target Circle offers and the often lower online than in-store prices. They honor these prices at every store and any clerk can do it. It takes 30 sec and can even be at self checkout.
The past two times I’ve shopped here and asked them to honor an online price, they’ve not only required a manager to slowly make their way to me but then haven’t allowed me to quickly use my app to scan the item in front of them to show them the price; instead making a huge deal out of it and using their scanner to look up the price as if I’m lying. Nothing bothers me more than someone treating me as if I don’t know what I’m doing and/or someone trying to prove me wrong just for the sake of being right.
That’s why the 1 star. They do always have items in stock that other locations do not per the app despite being a small store, but it’s not worth dealing with rude people to have things now. Thanks to the poor customer service here, I’ll be doing more online/deliver to my door purchasing and less overall purchasing hopefully.
Bullseye playground seriously lacks but even more than that, I had a terrible day at work because I also work in customer service. I set my two items briefly down on the closed self checkout register. I realized immediately what I did and I went to pick up my items when the attendee yelled at me. I said I’m so sorry I didn’t even look.and she yelled while walking off that nobody ever looks that’s why I have to tell them or they’ll just keep scanning and scanning. I get it; I didn’t look.but I didn’t waive you down, I never blamed you for my items not scanning. You probably had a long day too, but you chose to take it out on me by embarrassing me. I was just trying to scan my items after a long day and was already close to tears but you pushed it over the edge so thanks. It was embarrassing and sent me to tears because I don’t treat my customers like that and I don’t know how people can yell at customers and get away with it. But not today- today I’m writing a review.
Their stock is never correct on the website or app. If it shows its there, odds are it probably isn't. Multiple times I have gone in for something that the app and website said they had plenty of only to be told that the app must be wrong or all of the stock are in other people's carts currently in store. Blatant lies and when I ask if they have any in the back I just get an immediate no, like others have said the employees here are working for a paycheck and not because they like what they do. Untrained and unprofessional. Today, was the last straw. Avoid this Target like Covid.
I have lived in this area for >20 years and shopped many times at this location. I stopped shopping at this Target not long after they redid the inside. I cannot stand the aisle arrangement. The ovals are annoying and slow me down. I just go to other locations now (but less often because they are farther).
If you've been to one target then you are confused the layout is different for every other target. With that being said I love target.
The Target pharmacy has always exceeded my expectations. It is the perfect location for me to grab any needed medications as well as my kids clothing and school supplies and groceries. Very easy pickups when I make quick trips. Some of the unique items that have impressed me in the grocery department lately are the pre-cooked shrimp and it's only $7 for the package and the French vanilla and almond granola. I always get the kale to mix in with my smoothies. I can't say enough good things. Target has everything I need!
Unlike any other target, here they won't help you. They seam not well trained or knowledgeable staff. Avoid.
Drive up is such a life saver. The app is very well done. Love the fact there is cold/frozen options now.
Target seems to be the place to go and find new awesome toys and games for the kids! I always enjoy a trip to Target even if it's for a walk through to smell the well known smell of Target popcorn! There's a few things we definitely want to go back for, but snagged this fun looking Monopoly builder immediately to gift our daughter for her 7th birthday!
9am on a Sunday 11.07.21 not one register open BS when you have a full cart of merchandise. Now they have to pay someone to put all of it back, such a needless hass.
Every member of staff I've encountered was extremely helpful and friendly. This is my go to Target, even though I live on the other side of town.
It has everything. It's clean, organized, the staff are friendly, it has cool decor and clothing. It's just a great place to shop to get essentials.
All the personnel I dealt with at the Target have been very helpful and courteous. Every Target is pretty much the same; it's the employees that make the difference.
Came in for an order pick up, and the lady working the counter was so quick, funny, and helpful! In and out, back to cooking. Thanks!
A particularly nice Target. Clean, well organized, and generally a step above the average. This is, as far as I've found, the best Target in the Austin area. I quite like hitting up the Pizza Hut express that is inside for lunch.
This store has is together. I’ve never seen so many young employees able to take initiative and make executive decisions for the better judgement of the demands for the job. I can not say the same for my warehouse. It was 20 minutes before closing on 6/2 and there were at least 3 lines 10 people deep and they handled it gracefully. I genuinely admire this crew, they’re always so friendly and helpful any time I have a question. The customer service at this store can not go unappreciated!
Do NOT register here for your Baby registry. The registry desk lady was so rude she just gave us the scanner and walked away. No instructions nothing. We ended up having to ask 3 employees before returning the scanner bc nothing was scanning. When we got a new scanner again nothing in the baby section would scan. The manager said it was due to “wind”, than it was due to “their system” and “we need a new scanner” she than told me I could use the app. When I asked how do I bring my registry up on my app she told me I had to go back to customer service bc she didn’t know. When I went back the same lady took my scanner and said okay all done so I just gave up on even going back with my phone. I asked her if there was anything I needed to know and she said no. I do not know how people will be able to look at my registry bc I can’t even find my own registry. I asked her if we would revive a registry bag and she said no they have been out for 3 months and I could go to another store bc she didn’t know when they would have any in. Nobody especially a pregnant woman trying to register so people would spend ALLOT of money at target should be given any type of attitude or shooed off. I left crying and sat in the parking lot crying for 30 min because of how we were treated. I will be updating all my mom friends to unregister from target and stick to the other store we are registered at. This was traumatizing.
I came to list location to return items I purchased at a different target. The staff kept rushing me, told me I didn’t buy one of my items at target, and was overall rude. I eventually got them returned but it was not a great experience
I started shopping at Target over fifty years ago when the first store in the Minneapolis area in 1962. Did you know that Target started as experiment by Dayton-Hudson Corporation to enter the discount market? It was so successful that in January 2000 Dayton changed its name to Target and its stock ticker symbol to TGT. The quality is always good and the prices fair. It continues to be my preferred choice for household basics, and now with groceries, it covers most of my shopping needs. I particularly like the selection of travel size cosmetics, office supplies, pocket size memo books, consumer electronics, and everyday clothes. It is my go-to place while traveling when I need to buy something I have forgotten. Once I forgot to pack my dress pants for a wedding, but Target came to the rescue. I was able to find just what I needed, and the crisis was averted. With locations in every state, Target can always be counted on. Target has continued to excel even in the digital age during the COVID pandemic.
Target sells products I want to buy, and I was happy with that, but now they have changed up their store layout. The Hearth and Home line and all the other decor is right up front now. The store looks more like an At Home store now, which isn't a bad thing. And now they're playing background music, which they didn't before. I have always enjoyed shopping at Target, but now it's MORE enjoyable.
