The restaurant is clean and nice but the food is terrible and the amount they serve for biriyani is too small to sooth your appetite!

And they amount of spice they put in their food is good enough to give someone ulcer -_-
And it doesn't even taste good! It was not woth spending money with them!

I order paneer and Lamb briyani through Uber eat. The quantity of briyani was very very less and even in paneer briyani there was no paneer, I highly doubt they pass the left over briyani of other customers so I didn’t take risk and throw it.

Indian food is some of my favorite, this is the worst tasting food I’ve eaten in a while. No flavor other than salt. So sad! Do not waste your money!

My wife had the Masala Curry and I had the Vindaloo. Both were excellent as was tge garlic naan. The only thing that could make it better would be combo meals or a buffet!

We used to like Tarka. Yesterday was disappointing. We ordered Biryani - which is supposed to have each grain of rice separate and very specific aroma of spices. Instead we had a soggy rice dish and heavily spiced with black pepper. We ordered garlic naan and specifically asked that it be made well done and crispy - we got soggy flat bread. Clearly they were not freshly made and were served a warmed up earlier made batch. Extremely disappointing. Also ordered Vindaloo which has always been my favorite. Normally it has crisp vegetables and a freshness that I love. Yesterday, it felt stale and warmed up dish. Was it: change in chef? Change in recipes? Bigger customer base so change in how soon food is cooked? Not sure. If you just want to try Indian food, Tarka is okay but if you have a refined palate, Tarka is no longer that place for us. The service is great, ambience is great, good drink choices etc.but we will not go back for the food.

Tl: dr: I’ve ordered the chicken tika masala four days in a row in Grubhub.

I had a craving for Indian but didn’t want to go to my usual place in the medical center. I checked with Grubhub and Tarka’s came up so I gave them a shot. I’ve tried the chicken tika masala, vindaloo, aloo golbi, and the chicken biryanis & all have been good. Since I’m basic, I like the chicken tika masala the most simply because I like slathering my rice in the sauce. But it’s all tasty.

Their samosas and mint chutney are sooo good. Don’t sleep on them.

They must have their stuff together because every time I order on Grubhub, the drivers don’t seem to have to wait long for the order and I always have a warm meal in plastic containers. No mess. Always fresh.

The prices are good considering it’s location. For a quick Indian fix in the Stone Oak area, you can’t beat Tarkas.

Got delivery (Uber Eats) when stuck at a resort like 6 miles away for work. Blown away by the tastiness and Indian food usually travels really well, Tarka included. Love that their website lists gluten free options (which are plentiful). Really LOVED my food, may get them one more time before I am done with my work MTG.

Good. Reliable Indian food. Fast fresh service. I dream about the mango lemonade. I just wish they had more locations in San Antonio.

Great food! You absolutely cannot go wrong with their Tikka Masala with lamb, and garlic naan bread. Quick ordering at counter, wait maybe 10min and enjoy!

Indian food with fast food style setup. Pretty quick in getting the order ready. Can't say an authentic Indian food experience as the food was missing some important Indian flavors. Presentation is pretty decent. If you're in area give it a try.

Delicious food that is fresh and well seasoned, the staff is friendly and patient. The facility is very clean and modern. A great value, crispy fresh potatoes with lamb and fresh veggies stir fried starter only 6$.
Fresh flavored sodas. Curries

I ordered the mild Daal curry, some Naan bread, and mango Lassi. My husband got the lamb kebab with the ginger mint chutney. It was all delicious! Fast and nice service. Will definitely be coming back!

Pretty good curry. Service was good. They only have Stubborn brand of soda. While I applaud them for using a unique brand, I didn't care for them. But the mango juice alternative was pretty tasty.

I wanted to place a pick up order at 6: 30pm on Saturday. Their website wasn't listing this location so I called and they stayed they can't take any orders over the phone because they're too busy and to order online. I told the guy on the phone that their website isn't showing this location so I can't order online and he said that's because they're too busy and can't take an order. I asked him if that meant they can't take any orders at all and he just said no we can't sorry. I'm not going to waste anymore of my time trying to chase down food from a restaurant that can't manage enough to sell folks food. But I wanted to share this review as a heads up to other folks. If they don't have time to take an order then they probably dont have time to make your food right.

Wonderful restaurant! Best Indian food I have had since the middle_east. We plan to try everything on the menu. The mango Lassi is obligatory.

Nothing is *Indian* about this place. Not recommended for South Asian communities. Basically like a Taco Cabana for people who want to have altered Mexican cuisine.

This is a family favorite. My daughter and I had lunch here the other day. She had the chicken tikka massila and I had the chicken kabob salad with the honey tamarind dressing. My salad was delicious and large enough for both lunch and dinner. We shared the samasoa started which was served with adelious dipping sauce. We will be back and soon.
