Taste Of China Super Buffet, San Marcos TX

This buffet place seems overwhelmed from the outside but the food inside was disappointing. While I had dined inside, the bins were mostly empty and remained empty during my dining experience. Then server were working too many tables and plates were just being stacked up on my table. Food was okay but less selective than other Chinese buffets.

Honestly it didn't even deserve one star. The food was crunchy and hard where shouldn't have been. I wish I would have read the reviews before I went there because the bad reviews were 100% correct! Terrible food! You definitely don't get your money's worth here even at half the price!

Stopped by for dinner. Typical Asian buffet fare. Not busy at all and the food was tasty. It looked like they took a hit from the pandemic. Hardly any customers and the place is HUGE and felt empty. If they ran out of anything we just asked the waiter and they put in the request.

Everything on the buffet was trash. The corn was rock hard. All the meat options were burned or dry and old. Not one thing was fresh or good.

Don't go here food is awful and not fresh it's supposed to be a super buffet but nothing super about it. Tried several items and walked out. Told person at cashier food was awful.

The only Chinese place in town! Leave like that! Good and attentive service, but.food lacks so much.

Lots of the food seemed over cooked or the steamer was turned up to high. Men's bathroom cleaning supplies out in the open. Our waiter was nice and busy the whole time. Cashier he did not seem to care.

Worst food ever.cold ragoons, chicken was cold and tough. Rice tasted like seafood. Sesame chicken was cold.even the jello was bad.tough and rubbery. Yes I did tell management and all they said was "thank you for feedback. "

Nasty food out of everything else.
No okay chicken over 20 minutes. And manager refused to give e me refund. Don't go.

Server was to busy sitting a table chit chatting with a couple instead of checking on the tables.
Some food was nice and hot and some very cold.

They take a long time to open they suppose to open at 11am and they open at 11: 15am bad service

This location was not the best China buffet that I've been to. At the dinner hour I expected more to select from on the buffet. Much of the food was lukewarm.

I wanted to treat my family to somethi g nice but this place was not good at all. Food not fresh. Buffet was empty most of the time and the hot and sour soup which is one of my favorites had no taste at all.and womans restroom had no hand soap or paper towels. This place was a disappointment forsure. Never again!

This place is disappointing. First of all, this is the only chinese style buffet without sushi. Their food seem very repetitive. Wonton soup sitting there without wonton dumplings. I always despise places that make you pay BEFORE you even sit down to eat. Spoons for soups look clean and they really, REALLY over use jalapenos on their dishes. There do not have any pan fried or steamed dumplings. Honestly, it is most mediocre Chine buffet I have in my life.

Food was horrible! Went in with my family of 5. Saw that reviews were bad but gave it a shot. Paid $73 for our buffets with sweet tea and 1water. Rice was overcooked, chicken was burnt and charred. Green beans were very dry. Place was dirty. Got half a plate and couldn't eat. Sat at the table and we went back to the counter and told the man at the counter food was beyond horrible. Another family there was also complaining saying they should do right by the food instead of putting out what was there. Only 2 rows of food on buffet so not much of a selection either. Wanted our money back. Got a refund and went to Taste of China instead. Will never come back here.

I did dine in and the name of the buffet has “super buffet” and walked in expecting to hear well but guess what, the food inside was nasty and even hurt my stomach causing me too feel nauseous. It was nice service but this was the WORST buffet I’ve ever been too, I don’t recommend it at all most of the food looked extremely bad.

Do not go here to eat whatever you do. The food is awful and not fresh to top it off for a super buffet what the sign says it is not hardly any choices. Nothing I tried was good. Should of known it was bad because the parking lot was empty. I will definitely not ever ever ever return to this restaurant.

This is a great restaurant, buffets are usually kinda low quality, but the food here was top notch, there are standard and vegetarian options, amazing entries, delicious desserts, and more!
