This was my first visit with Dr. Gist. He was friendly, straightforward, and, from my perspective, very knowledgeable about my condition and his recommendations. I felt very comfortable with him and and have high hopes about the resolution of my condition. My husband has also spoken with other patients of his. They were very positive.

Dr. Gist is a very compassionate doctor. He explains everything in detail. We don’t feel rushed and feel comfortable asking him anything concerning my son’s condition. He gives options, explain risks. He doesn’t just jump into surgery. Will try things conservatively first. That is a very good characteristic of a good surgeon. The only thing negative is he only accepts PPO insurance.

Dr. Gist is so personable and professional. He made me feel so comfortable and reassured. I had a chance to visit in 2 of the officies and I must say the staff was great. He is my GO TO doc.

Dr Gist is a Physician's Physician. In addition to his technical and diagnostic expertise, he is dedicated, attentive, understanding, and empathic. Great bedside manner. His office staff is very efficient and organized.

Dr. Gist gave me all the attention as I was telling him my history. We came to a conclusion I did not need surgery at this time. I know what little time I spent with him assures me I will have a good surgeon if I need one in the future

I had a new patient phone appointment with Dr Gist regarding hemifacial spasms and possible surgery. Dr Gist was very helpful in describing the surgery and in answering the questions I had. After talking with him I have a very favorable view of him and his ability to do the surgery that I need.

They made it easy to schedule my appointment with PA Cole and reminded me of the appointment. When I joined the zoom call, I had an issue with the audio, but she was patient and provided guidance until we connected.
The appointment was thorough and I had a chance to explain my issue, how it happened and ask all the questions I wanted, but it was still only ~15-20 minutes.
Great experience!

Similarly to other posts, I too found Dr. Gist's bedside manners examplary and his explanations of the type of surgery he is recommending and why to also be exemplary. His staff has been very helpful.

The surgical results are yet to be seen, but I am confident he will do fine, and I look forward to feeling my feet again.

Dr. Gist was very thorough explaining in detail his findings after examination. My husband (pt) and I are both in the medical field. As a nurse, I appreciated his explanation for the need of surgery instead vs potential complications of waiting.

This was the first time I have met with Dr. Gist, after an initial visit with P. A. Cole Chapman. I was referred to Dr. Gist by my NP Joanne Shaffer for lower back pain, sciatic nerve symptoms. Dr. Gist was extremely thorough in his examination and explanation of my treatment options. Dr. Gist was very patient, which I much appreciated, with my questions and encouraged me to follow up with him anytime for further discussions and I will definitely do so. An addition to my post, my visit with P. A. Cole Chapman went great! She was extremely thorough and recommended imaging prior to seeing Dr. Gist which expedited the whole process. My initial visit with this practice was quite favorable thanks to P. A. Chapman.
