Put a check for 10k in my personal checking was told I had to wait seven days! I have a business account and I never had to wait but three days and it was for more money. I asked the assistant manager if I can just get 500 because customer service told me they should release some of the money the manager told me no because I couldn’t cover it.first of all how dare her insult me like that if I can put a 10k check in the bank I can cover 500 this money was for my kids Christmas and a trip and now that’s ruined because of her because she wants to hold it for a whole week not just the regular 3 days so we won’t get the money in Time so say goodbye to a 14 year customer. UPDATE had Travis a Tdecu team member call me and he got my money the same day! I am very pleased with his customer service and his eagerness to fix this problem I will not be leaving Tdecu and that’s because of him what a great person they have on the Tdecu team and I will be calling him if I run to issues again these stars go to Travis! Keep on being a good person! Thank you!

My experience this week at the Angleton location only has been the worst experience I have ever had. I was 30 days past on my loan and went in to try and work with them and explain to them that the money in the account I needed for my daughter's medication and they referred me over to the loan resolution department who could care less and after speaking with them froze my card and my account. So I had no choice but to pay what I owed out of my daughter's medicine fund to even access a penny of my money. The employers there all but one sweet lady looked looked at me as I was trash. If you need to bank go to Freeport location I have not had any problems from them

Car title - after giving written instructions about my new address they sent my title to old address. Now they are telling me to talk to DMV. I paid money to you, not dmv. Not happy with your service.

They overdrafted me multiple times even though i had money in my accounts. The staff was polite but couldn't do much. I closed my account and recommend looking for a different bank to those looking unless you want 32 dollars being taken from your account causing actual overdrafts which they will gladly charge you for.

I’ve been banking with TDECU since 2015 and my experience has been the absolute worst since this past November. I’ve never really used it for anything until I needed an auto loan refinanced. I got into a car wreck November 2022 and they just finished my claim with my insurance at the beginning of this month (April 17th). My loan officers weren’t reachable, and didn’t pay my first lien holder off when I refinanced with them. They still owed my first lien holder $800 which when you refinance they are suppose to pay off the existing loan. I was not aware of this until my wreck. I never received anything from my first lien holder about having a balance either. Therefore, when I totaled my car in November my title was not under TDECU’s possession to process my claim. They still owed $800 to my first lien holder and it had to be paid off in order for them to release my title to TDECU to process my claim. Not only did they want me to pay the $800 up front that they owed my first lien holder, but they still wanted me to make payments on my car that was totaled in addition to my new car that I purchased after my wreck. I didn’t want it to hit my credit and was hoping the situation would have been taken care of before the next due date on my totaled car but that wasn’t the case. I reached out again and was finally able to talk to my loan officer about my situation with my vehicle payments. My loan officer told me that I would be reimbursed the months that I paid on my totaled car since it was taking so long to process my claim. Four months went by (April 17th) and my claim finally finalized but they didn’t give me back the car payments I paid during that 4 month period like they said they would. My payoff was short from my insurance but I had gap insurance which I was told would cover the rest and the payments I made to my totaled car would be reimbursed since I had that GAP insurance. That was not the case. I was only reimbursed $37. Long story short save yourself the hassle and don’t bank with TDECU.

Didn't have enough cash on hand to give me the funds out of my account I needed. Said because of income tax season. No excuse for this, they should have planned better.
