Spent the night there. Parking area and camping spots are close enough. Very nice walking trails. Had a great time with my young kids.

We really like this place for light hiking. But as of 13-Aug-22, there’s no water in the creek. Bone dry.

The water for fishing is to far. Today we was leaving and packing out stuff to the car and saw a man still out hole tent. If he was in need of it all he had to do was ask I would have it to him. So I want go bk there.

The Feds seem to think this is part of lake Georgetown. Which it is not. There is no lake here it's a dry creek which floods the water does flow into Georgetown lake but is not actually on the lake. The federal government needs to change that. It's not on the lake!

Nice quiet spot not far from civilization (Cedar park, Leander). With a handful of campsites located 200 yards from the river I found it easy to go fishing in the morning, and swim in the afternoon.

One of my favorite places to hike in Georgetown. It's beautiful and has some elevation. Great training ground

It's a very run down park and campsite. It is not well maintained. Having said that, it almost makes it perfect for exploring the trails. You can actually walk most, if not all, all the way around Georgetown lake. From the campsite trail to Georgetown lake is about 3.1 miles. It's best to go when the creeks are dried up because you get a much different view and exploring little puddles, we actually found carp in them.
One main point about this place is the prehistoric or archeological site that is located here. Digging or metal detecting is prohibited. None the less, it's pretty cool as long as you can get through the bathroom smells.

Exceptionally clean park and trails! Be careful, you can get lost on the trails. Verizon cell service doesn't work here which is odd. My Metro/T-mobile had service the entire time. Some of the trails aren't any bigger than game trails, so be careful you don't lose your way.onX hunt app (paid version) had the trails marked.
