Truly an incredible experience! This place is basically as close to Big Bend NP as it gets. Super cozy rooms with a perfect heater for the cold nights. Campfire area was so fun. The shared bathrooms were super nice and clean. Easy check in with the lock box. Star gazing was AMAZING! Overall a 10/10 experience. I will definitely be coming here again if I ever come back to Big Bend!

Do not Stay Here. We arrived and our lock code did not work. They were very uncaring and took forever to get us to another room which was inferior. They are not on sight. When we went to check out and retrieve our belongings the code on the door did not work again. It was Christmas Eve. They were going to leave us stranded with our belongings locked way and unable to leave the area and having to find another hotel (which in the area were all booked). I was lucky the window was unlocked and popped a screen to get my belongings. They still have never responded to this issue. It is not surprising every hotel in area was completely booked but there were only two families staying at this place. They don't care and they are very rude when you interact with them.

Book a the terlingua nights sleeper cabins only out of desperation and for proximity to park.
1. No bathroom attached
2. Tiny room that can only fit a full size bed and barely enough room to fit our small bags (on the floor bc they had no table or bench to use).
3. Old school mattress
4. Unwashed quilt
5. Plastic cover on mattress that makes crunchy noises when you move
6. No heater
7. Allowed to take a 5 minute shower only
8. Cannot flush toilet paper
9. No TV
10. Rude manager
11. Shower was cold, hot water for only 3 min
12. Uneven shower floor
13. Microwave outside. Odd.

Need I say more? Terrible. We paid over $200 for this atrocity. Not worth what we paid. Better accommodations at mission lodge across the street. Never again.

A few nice things to say:
1. Covered parking next to room
2. Stargazing good when porch lights are off

Very raw accomodations, bathrooms are shared for all the cabins and in rainy days going to the bathroom could be an experience

I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. The plastic bedsheets were just the beginning of the disappointments. The room itself was incredibly tiny, making it difficult to move around comfortably. Additionally, one major drawback was having to walk on a dirt driveway to access the shared bathroom. It was quite inconvenient and not what I expected from a hotel stay. Overall, I was not impressed with the accommodations provided during my visit. I slept well but that was due to the days of hiking I did at the park. The best thing I can say about it is the close proximity to the park entry.

Since we had last min plans to go to Big bend National park we only had this space with few cabins. A small space with one bed, AC, Heater, Small fridge, coffee machine, dimmable light, small white desk lamp.

These are like matchbox room size which has the queen size bed and the restroom are separated from the cabins. You can park your car next to your room. This place also has a hotel type room which has attached bathrooms.

Beautiful interior and exterior setup. Was very clean when we went and we booked 3 rooms for two families as one bed can hold max 2 adults and 1 kid and have to squeeze and sleep. Suitable for couple or two adults for a canon.

Bad time it was raining, freezing and snowing when we went and so we had a very difficult time to go to restroom from our room. If it’s only summer book these room, would not recommend during rainy season.

They have one big restroom with shower on the right side and on the left size two toilets and one restroom attached with shower.

Between the 4th cabin and the restroom is a small dining place with microwave oven and grill. Apart from these there are good sit out spots with cute little decorations.

Opposite to this cabins is the Chilli Pepper restaurant which has very good food and this is the only restaurant in this area. If you go inside the Big Bend National park you might not find any restaurants.

The room was clean, smelled good, Keurig, towels, etc.but rather small, only room for the full size bed. I wasn’t expecting to pay an additional $34 for “Covid” cleaning; came as a shock. Total for one night in a small portable building with communal bathhouse on a random Thursday night, non peak season totaled $212.

What a great place. It was so comfortable and thoughtfully set up. It felt like coming home at night. Because it’s in the desert be sure to take water for your trip. Sitting outside was great. The view. The hammocks. The chairs. There was even wood for a fire and holders for marshmallows.
