Tex Best Travel Center-Exxon, New Braunfels TX

This place is clean inside and it is nice to use a public restroom without used toilet thrown onto floor instead of flushed and graffiti all over walls. The entrance choices are terrible due to good ol TXDOT and local officials decisions. And for the corporate ownership, it would be nice if you keep the trucker in mind and install showers. Also, the real drivers have a hard time finding a place to park for breaks, when locals who are home everyday, park and take up spaces.

Wanted breakfast and saw man with yellow hat eating with two fingers in mouth. He had no gloves making food. He made some toast biscuits while I was there.yuck.

Tons of cool knick knacks and neat odds-n-ends can be found here. Perfect as little gifts or souvenirs if you like that kind of thing.

I can't say enough about the wonderful experiences I've had at this gas station. Each visit has been an absolute delight, thanks to the incredible employees who make this place truly exceptional. They have great food, it’s always super clean, most of the staff is really nice, but if they could train these teenage boys to actually listen to what you’re saying instead of listening to all of. 05 seconds and assuming they know it would be the best place to stop. However I have to weigh my options now as to if I want everything correct or nice and clean. Which sucks. It’s not a one off thing either or I wouldn’t even bring it up, but it’s happened numerous times and it’s pretty old. Even once I’ve been like hey, that’s not what I said, just trying to like give ‘em a heads up that maybe they should actually listen, they completely dismiss it. Tonight I heard, “I didn’t hear you” um, then why did you do what you wanted to instead of asking? Lol but I digress. It’s mostly an amazing store and I’ll definitely stop in again if I’m not worried about the overall correctness!

Only stopped in for a restroom break but the store was clean as well as the restroom area. It seemed to be a pleasant place to shop. If I was passing through again I would consider stopping there again.

Always clean and courteous. Have very freshly prepared foods, especially the Barbacoa Taco!

The lines constantly back up here in the morning time. Only one register is ever open. Which makes no sense being there’s sometimes 7 employees behind the counter. This place used to be better, I’m not sure if management has changed.

Clean, organized, staff is welcoming and professional. It's an average convenience store and gas station. The only problem is the entry and exit to this place is hard to get to due to the design of the intersection. I feel bad for this location because TXDOT really screwed them by blocking entry access to vehicles forced to make a U-turn by-passing their side entry/exit instead of vehicles being able to make a left hand turn at the intersection.

I stopped there for gas because next to buccees, these bathrooms are pretty clean but less traffic. The downside was that I couldn't purchase anything because they were between a shift change and the registers were closed for 30 mins or so.

The place is exceptionally clean, the employees friendly and helpful, AND THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUSLY SUPERB!

I paid for gas. There were two vehicles same color, (silver). Clerks puts my money on wrong pump. I go in to correct it. The person at the pump already left after pumping my gas that is, then asked me to split the difference? I ended up considering it as blessing someone else, but don’t think I should’ve been charged twice for gas. I was actually flabbergasted when the clerk asked me to split the cost again because I had cash on me.smh.

So much better than the crowded one on the r side of highway. Donuts were fresh and coffee is top notch. Store is very clean and staff care about service!

Clean and convenient but they don't put price stickers on most items and when you get to the register you'll see outrageous prices. $7.50 for a 5 oz bag of potato chips.
