Office staff was courteous and prompt. Wait time was less than 10 minutes. Dr. Bonnen listened to my issues and concerns and address them completely. He took the time to discuss and explain my previous surgery and to answer all of my questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Bonnen and his staff. He did not rush me through and he treated me like a patient and not like a number.

I have been a patient of Dr Bonnen’s for over 15 years, as needed. He does not suggest or perform unnecessary procedures, and tailors your treatment to your best health outcomes. His PA, Sarah Kidd, is awesome. Personable and positive, she asks the right questions and performs needed physical tests to diagnose your next step of treatment. I would trust my spine health to no one else.

I was highly disappointed in the lack of professionalism and tact that was exhibited by Dr. Bonnen during my new patient visit this week. We patiently waited for 40 minutes which has been normal with specialist but I was appalled when my wife was rudely stopped by the doctor and told, “I don’t care” and “I don’t have time” to listen to the details or we’d be here all day. His lack of bedside manner and unwillingness to listen is enough to make me look for another physician. His inability to properly schedule his time which rushed my appointment is not within my control or my problem. I’m disappointed that in choosing to stay local we were treated so rudely and my health issues were quickly dismissed. The physician had not reviewed my records and didn’t ask any questions to help get to the root cause. If you are looking for a caring physician and someone who is willing to listen to help identify the issue, Dr. Bonnen is not the right physician.

I'm really happy with the results of my appointment. I'm even more happy I don't have to have surgery. We came up with a game plan. These folks are great to work with. I highly recommend them.

The care I received from Sarah Kidd P. A.over the past couple of weeks exceeded my expectations. She was extremely thorough, took the time to explain everything to me, and spoke in terms that I understand. I never felt rushed and she did not pressure me to have surgery, yet explained it was an option if I chose to go that route. Her diagnosis was spot on during my initial visit. A herniated disk which caused sciatica. Withing 48 hours of my first visit, I was walking normally again and essentially pain free. I had spent the previous week in extreme pain using a walker to shuffle around the house. It was a very long, painful and frustrating week. I am a healthy active 43 year old. Mrs. Kidd was very positive, friendly, and she wanted me to feel better. Excellent bedside manner and provided me with quality care. I would absolutely recommend Texas Brain & Spine Center to everyone.

I am so happy to report all positive results from the very delicate surgery performed by Dr. Bonnen and his entire medical team as he and Dr. Sarah removed extremely painful bone spurs from some of my cervical vertebrae and here I am, 18 days later, and about 90% less pain than I’ve been experiencing for many years! My quality of life has improved tremendously! I’m extremely grateful for the kindness from the surgery center also

Dr. Bonnen diagnosed a torn disc in 2020 and I like him very much. He’s a hometown man so we knew a lot of the shame people. I’m ready to get by back fixed but wondering if he does disc replacement. Anyone know?

Dr. Bonnen was out of the office the day of my appointment so I was seen by his PA Sarah Kidd. I had dropped off my MRI and x-ray discs and copies of my medical records a week before my appointment so that they could review them together. I had a wonderful appointment! For the first time since I began my journey of getting medical treatment over a year ago by seeing several male doctors, I finally was listened to and was shown compassion. I highly recommend Sarah Kidd.

We did not get to see Dr Bonnen but saw his PA Sarah. Excellent, compassionate and spent quality time explaining and taking time to help my husband get the therapy needed, offering to help him get the treatment needed by helping navigate through the difficulty seniors have getting treatment n care approved by Medicare/ insurance. I highly recommend Dr. Bonnen’s PA Sarah.
