Had very good experience taking my child to ER, staff was so friendly and efficient. Great doctor, who was able to quickly diagnose and send us home. The doctor followed up next day after lab results were received.

Unfortunately the lowest review i can give is 1star. Probably why they have a 2.3 star rating.
An absolute joke.
Doctors won’t even respond to us. Our child has epilepsy. Do not go here.

I’ve read so many reviews of people giving these health care providers bad reviews. First of all when you read a review you have to take in consideration the issue that’s going on, is the person telling the truth. When it comes to children a lot of parents post reviews on emotions. I’m giving Texas children’s a 5 *, the staff and doctors were very professional, made us feel at ease and was able to diagnose my son and treat him. Wait was a little long but my son is better and back at school. Thank you Texas children’s. Before everyone post a review wait 24hrs or so and don’t post on emotions. Things change in 24hrs the end goal was met for us. Thank you

They are abusing children here with gender ideologies. Instead of giving mental care, they are profiting off of their confusion and are performing permanent "treatments" that will forever change their life.
Parents, you are abusers too if you do this to your child. Wait until they're 18 or 21 to even consider this.

Careful taking your child here. They have a nasty habit of filing misguided CPS cases against parents. My good friend's child had a seizer, he calls the ambulance and they end up here. They filed a medical neglect CPS case against him. CPS investigation closes finding no wrong doing and the CPS employee also mentioned that this location has a high rate of CPS cases going on that shouldn't have never been filed. They have had this issue in the past and even have a fox news story on it because these incorrect CPS filings are ruining family's lives.

The bad reviews of this place speak for themselves. Go anywhere else.

DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE!
If I could put negative stars for this place I would. Had CPS case opened on us for absolutely NO REASON. We called our 6 day old daughter’s pediatrician (separate from TCH) as we noticed she had a lump on her head and they recommended that we take her to Texas Children’s. When we arrived they immediately began to constantly question us asking if we dropped her or if she had fallen (she had NEVER been dropped or taken a fall). We let the nurses know she had not, but that she had some birth trauma when she was delivered. They proceeded to get her a CT scan and found a brain bleed (didn’t find out until later it was very small and not concerning).

The nurses continued to badger us with questions of how this happened and refused to answer how serious the brain bleed was, only telling us that they were going to be transporting us downtown to discuss with neurosurgery and that they would be sending a Chaplin in immediately along with a social worker. At this point they were making us feel and acting like our daughter was ABOUT TO DIE. They were treating us as though we had just abused our 6 day old daughter and not listening or trying to understand that we did NOT cause this.

The Social Worker came in, asked what happened, we let him know about the birth trauma and how we noticed the lump, and he said thank you and walked out. After 5 hours of what seemed to be such a serious problem, we were finally transported downtown.

Once we were downtown we finally received the care and information we needed! Neurosurgery let us know the brain bleed was not serious, that it is common with birth trauma, and that we would be able to go home the next day after observation.

It was not until the next morning that we found out The Woodlands location called CPS and opened a case against us claiming we had abused our newborn daughter. We were held at the hospital all day against our wishes even though our daughter was medically cleared and allowed to go home as we had to have a conversation with CPS. Once we were finally discharged we went straight home only to find another CPS worker wanting to have a conversation with us and a tour of our home. After the second conversation at our home, the CPS worker let us know the doctors downtown agreed with what my wife and I had told them in regards to being birth trauma and that CPS would close our case.

Not ONCE did anyone from TEXAS CHILDRENS HOSPITAL in The Woodlands ever try to listen or understand our explanation, they just decided it had to be child abuse and opened a case. We are getting an attorney involved for the malicious and negligent care by all the nurses and doctors who were so cold and terrible to us. All this not to forget the horrible bedside manner, being called Dr. Google multiple times by one of the nurses for bringing up a potential condition that was brought to our attention by our pediatrician, as well as the same nurse yelling outside of our room to other nurses saying “why don’t yall go revitalize some children”. ABSOLUTELY HORRID PLACE. PLEASE CHOOSE ANY OTHER HOSPITAL FOR YOUR CHILD CARE NEEDS.

I think my thing is that I always pray before going inside. I don't think ALOT of people understand the wait times at ERs vs real life emergencies life flight, trauma, cancer, heart defects, brain defects.then here yall come leaving 1 star because you had to wait 6 hours cause your kids has a cold.

We were transferred here after leaving our PCP and local ER. My son managed to stick objects in his ear at school. They understood that he was autistic and would require restraining.they did it so well and was able to get and ENT right away and scheduled and emergency surgery for the next day.
Surgery floor does not let you eat in the waiting area, out of respect for patients that haven't eaten since midnight. Why doesn't every ER offer the parent cart? With all of the essentials on it? Diapers, wipes, formula, gatorade, water, chargers with Alarms on it, sheets to cover up with, masks, socks and a small bin of changing clothes. They let the kids ride their trikes in the halls with little regards to feeling disrupted. Thats amazing.and the wagon was definitely a soothe over to get my kids upstairs. Dr Yen was great. We had a great experience. I was able to put things in my cart on Amazon of things I seen in this hospital that I would like in my home for kiddos.

Only 4 starts because Diner was not open at 9am once my son went back for surgery. I was weak and dehydrated having not eaten and been up there since 6 am. Settled for cold sandwich from starbucks hub.

Could not have asked for a better nurses, aides, or doctors on staff during our emergency room visit for our five year old. We were well informed throughout the process, and were informed to expect a wait. Staff made our child feel comfortable, answered concerns, as well as gave specific details on the diagnosis and remedies.

Took my 5 week old baby here on a Saturday for congestion & vomiting.the staff was horrible and super unfriendly. The rooms were freezing. The Dr stated everything was normal and discharged me with after care about pain for infants to take over the counter ibuprofen. Remind you I didn't bring my baby in for pain & shes too young to be administered ibuprofen. I left and Immediately took her to a different urgent care where they suctioned her noise & witnessed the vomiting they did test and admitted her.smh will never bring her to Children's in the Woodlands ever again and to add on the way out the nurses were just at the desk talking and on their phones laughing like they were at a party but yet it took them 20 min to come in the room when I paged for the nurse, and they didn't even greet me on the way in or out

We started in the urgent care but had to be transferred down to the ER. Everyone was very kind and understanding. They explained everything to us while keeping our young son calm. The ultrasound tech, nurses, and doctor were careful to explain everything while not scaring our son. It's a hospital so there are long waits for everything but the staff did their best to keep us updated at each step. When we finally left we left assured that they checked him thoroughly and he was already feeling better from the meds. Hopefully we never need them again but if we do, we will definitely choose Texas Children's again.

Scheduling here is terrible. At least a month out just to get called the day before stating they scheduled with the wrong person. Then get called back stating an ultra needs to be done before and appt will need to be moved again.

THS poisoned and killed our child. She was less than 6 months old. She was overdosed by an anesthesiologist administered 2 drugs she'd been receiving for 3 weeks by IV. The anesthesiologist exact words were "I gave her as much as an adult". Our daughter's heart stopped. They did CPR and revived her. They told us that she had lost a lot of oxygen to her brain. This took her off of all transplant lists or further surgeries. Those surgeries were already planned but she was taken off. Then they had the guts to ask us to sign a paper to "pull the plug" (Texas natural death act). She would have starved and choked to death. That morning, before the anesthesia, was the last time I saw my only child smile. She lived to almost 9, years old. She surprised all of the Drs outside of of Houston. Texas Children's Hospital is a terrible place to take your babies. They wanted us to pull the plug and die.

I POST THIS OPENLY BECAUSE IT'S ALL TRUE. I look forward to THS trying to sue me over this absolute and documented case.
PARENTS, TRY TO AVOID THS. THEY ARE A TEACHING HOSPITAL AND SEEM TO BE MORE INTERESTED IN GETTING A DEGREE AND $ OVER THE CARE OF CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES

1: 30 am my son is sleeping after having surgery. We woke up to a child screaming and slamming doors and running in the hallway for five minutes straight. The kid kept screaming and sobbing and screaming she wanted her momma. Finally I got up to check what was going on. The nurse was sitting on the computer the whole time. She never moved. In the room next door was a kid getting beat by her mother. The window was wide open. The nurse never moved and I had to tell her to do something. She said she was calling security.what in the world happened to Texas children hospital? I placed a trash can in front of my door, and I’m not sure if I’m in the woodlands anymore.

My son Raven came in and I being a new born mom and mom of 4 children was needing sleep after being up for 48hrs. The nurses all took turns holding Baby Raven and took care of him while I got some rest and he loved it, got lots of love and cuddles. I want to thank the staff that helped me with him so i can rest up to take care of him. Thank yall for being so helpful and sweet. Great Job yall.

If I could give this emergency room 0 stars I would! They have had my baby waiting 6 hours and they said I could have at least 2 more hours to go before being seen. No sense of urgency at all. If you have an emergency avoid this place at all cost. They do not care you can’t get any information out of them as to what is going on.
