Our family had to find a new pediatricians office when we relocated to Houston this year. We thought this clinic was a good option. Wrong. After giving them many chances, we are no longer seeking service here.

Firstly, our original PCP had familial issues and our appointments had to be rescheduled multiple times. Although, I cannot fault them for this, they left it to the day before to reschedule. Our first reschedule was with Dr. Kyle (the only saving grace of any of my experiences at this clinic). The nurse that greeted us was rude and rushed us through the initial check-in with weight and height despite my son being upset due to his age and not being familiar with strangers. She made ZERO attempt to warm up to him or have him settle by talking to him or being friendly. Nonetheless, Dr. Kyle was very nice and warm. She immediately recognized that my 10-month old was shy and scared of strangers. She approached him slowly and whispered to him and let him play with one of her instruments. He immediately settled down for the rest of the visit and I did not feel rushed by her. This is the service I would normally expect.

Our most recent well visit was unacceptable. Again, it had to be rescheduled due to our PCP calling out. This time with Dr. Davis (Dr. Kyle was booked a month out-of course she was!). Again, rude nurse who immediately said "ugh already! " in an annoyed tone when she noticed my shy son was startled by her and started crying. Dr. Davis came in and made ZERO attempt to calm my son down which only made it worse as she attempted to talk loudly over his cries. Did not approach him, did not act friendly, whisper, or let him play with something to distract him. Even when I asked like "don't you have any tricks when you approach babies like this? " she said something and shrugged the question off. Visit was rushed and felt impersonal. Dr. Davis was reading off the milestone chart on the wall and asking questions from this. In my opinion, I expect my doctor to know these well and not have to do this. Also, not once did any nurse introduce themselves by name when they walked in the room to provide care. I don't know where they trained, but this is terrible practice and shows a lack of patient centered care.

Context: I am a pediatric nurse myself. The quality of care I expect from a pediatric clinic is HIGH. This is because I provide excellent service to my clients (children and parents). I hope Dr. Davis reads this feedback and I certainly hope these "pediatric" nurses are given more training on how to deal with young children who are upset. I found my interactions with the multiple nurses to be very poor. Very surprising coming from an institution such as Texas Children's. We are actively searching for a new office to attend.

Me and my husband took my new born yesterday for his very fist check up. I was very impressed! Staff at the front was so nice! Also didn’t have to wait they took us in right away and doctor Zertuche was amazing she was very nice and answered all of our questions we had since we are first time parents. She took her time checking my baby I’m very happy I chose them to care for my baby definitely staying with this doctor. Thank you!

Just left. I am switching my son to this pediatrician! Finally found a good location! Dr Ivan and Cindy were amazing, actually cared about my son and my concerns. When u enter the staff is super friendly. Dr Ivan has been the only Dr my son let hear his Heart beat which means he felt comfortable with him. Definitely recommend!

Amazing staff! From the minute we entered and came in we were greeted kindly by the great staff. Our first appointment with Dr. Wilson was fantastic. She was very kind and genuinely cared about my kids and their issues. I think most pediatricians on the first visit would possible not give a physical therapy refferal but Dr. Wilson just wanted to help as much as she could. They also got shots and a test in which both of the nurses were kind helped a lot. My kids even told me they enjoyed their visit! All of the staff was great and we look forward to our next visit. Oh and I read many reviews that it was hard to get an appointment but I think that issue has been resolved because we got an appointment REALLY fast.

Great Dr, explains everything step by step, very informative, highly recommend Dr Wilson, Only downside is, nobody EVER answers the phone. So to schedule any appointment or ask any questions is a hassle. It took me 12 attempts to call and FINALLY get an answer, all to find out that the lady that attended me during check out on our last visit, whom was too busy talking to her coworkers, DID NOT set up my sons 2 week appointment. There are no walk ins accepted so it makes things A LOT MORE complicated, so your best bet would have to be to take your baby to an ER. Even if it’s just to ask a question about your child’s health to have that peace of mind. Other than the office staff though, the Dr is EXCELLENT and the office is kept clean.

Good luck calling to set an appointment. 1 out of 5 of my calls get answered.different times of the day so it's not just a time frame

Doctor's are very helpful and accommodating. They truly care for the patients. Nursing staff is very helpful which is very useful when dealing with kids.
I had to come here for an emergency visit and I was given an appointment within an hour because of the nature of emergency. Our son was not adjusting well to a formula and the doctor gave us samples of a different formula to try out.

I thought people were over exaggerating but it’s ridiculous how completely impossible it is to get ahold of them for anything!

Very pleased with this location. Our regular Doctor is Dr Reed. She’s wonderful. But today I had to take my boy in for a quick emergency since he hadn’t had a bowel movement in two days. We got to see Dr Wilson. She was really good and very informative. I also loved the fact she called me tonight to follow up on my son and how he was doing. Great place and glad to have doctors so near our home we can trust!

DR ZERTUCHE IS GREAT, PERSONALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY! I have been taking my daughter to see Zertuche since birth and I refuse to have her seen by anyone else. She takes her time to answer all my questions, listen to all my concerns and is very thorough in her evaluations! Couldn't ask for a better person/Doctor to care for my Lil Princess!

I have only been here one time so far. They are awesome. Assistant and Doctor were very apologetic about me having to wait.a few mins. (it was not even a wait to me) the lady that did blood work on my daughter was extremely nice and made my daughter feel so comfortable. I will be bringing my son back.

I have been taking my son with Dr. Davis for over 4 years. She is amazing! She is smart, witty and humble. We moved to Cypress a year and a half ago but we keep going to see Dr. Davis. We wouldn’t see anybody else!

We normally have our care provided at TCP Kirby, but then this location opened and was only 8 minutes away when Mathew became sick. First, trying to call and have someone answer is like slitting your wrist ½ inch and waiting to die…long! Once the lady answered she was very abrupt and rude as if she was forced to come to work. Once I confirmed Mathew’s name and date of birth she immediately said “Oh, you are with them” who was she speaking of I still don’t understand…. We are not affiliated with the militia! Then she firmly stated I will have to change my PCP to one of theirs first in order to be seen…really? You don’t want to know if my son is dying first! I don’t know your doctor roster to make such an abrupt decision! I asked if I could switch back after the visit because we are dedicated to our doctor at TCP Kirby she said yes, if we can receive full payment for your visit…WOW…Ok! I asked for the manager…. NOTHING! ON HOLD AGAIN! Needless to say, I hung up and called TCP Kirby, by this time it was 4: 15 and I know they close at 5pm. A very nice lady answered quickly as usual, I think her name was Jonan. Although Dr. Smith was out she was able to get us in right at 5: 10! I should have just called TCP Kirby first and probably would have been back home by 5: 10! Moral of the experience…. Convenience is not always great. Stick with what you know! I refer everyone one I know to TCP Kirby because it is great and has made impressive improvements over the last 2 years! I noticed there’s a new manager and staff at the front desk.

Dr. Mary-Ann Tholony is so down to earth and helpful! We liked her so much! We were in and out & she really listed to what was going on with my son. You must see her, you won’t be disappointed. Everyone else was also extremely nice as well.

The doctors and nurses have all been great so far (my daughter is 4 months). The convenience of this office location is excellent. Only downside so far has been the wait time on the phone. I feel like they just need to hire more people in reception and this would be a five star doctor's office.

I have been going to TCH-Heights for almost 4 years. We love our pediatrician, but trying to reach someone on the phone is ridiculous. Expect to wait AT LEAST 10 minutes to get anyone on the phone. I have seriously considered just driving to the office to set up an appointment. And appointments for a simple flu shot are 2 weeks away. Just doesn't make sense. Their excuse is understaffing and busy times, but ANYTIME I call it is the same situation.

This office is very convenient to us and has generally been very good. The only things I’ve been disappointed in were my son getting sick after a well check (because of exposure in the office), sometimes long waits for the doctor in the exam room, and a rude nurse on one occasion. These things are understandable and have not been awful every time. In fact, I submitted a survey about the rude nurse and I noticed a different behavior the next visit, so I felt like my survey was actually considered, which I appreciated. This place is pretty good in the scheme of things, and there’s a lot of doctors, so it’s easy to find an appointment with one of the doctors (not always your primary) if something comes up.

All excellent in terms of doctors. As for time, the phone line really waits more than 40 minutes of waiting
