Texas Childrens Urgent Care Fairfield, Cypress TX

I had a horrible experience in the past and have not been back since due to rude staff and unexperienced medical staff and mis diagnosed with hands foot mouth when my child really had strep and became worse and had to go elsewhere. And I was very skeptical about returning again due to all the bad reviews and stating appointments were necessary in the comments. But I took my chance because it was the closes urgent care and my son was feeling pretty bad actually had a better experience staff was friendly and pleasant and doctor took her time to evaluate my son. Not much wait time and overall experience was alot better than last time.

We have been here twice before. We always receive great care. There's always a weight, even if you go in and there's nobody in there, you go into a room, and usually have to wait around 45 minutes to an hour for some reason. At any rate, you do get very good care.

Tonight we had to go in there because my little girl broke her arm. They took very good care of her, and though we did have to wait a bit, she got her X-ray done, we got goodcare from the nurse practitioner Toya, the lady who rapped her arm and did her splint was very good, the person who did her x-ray was good. They made her feel very cared for and they were very careful with her. She's only one and a half. So even though there is a usual wait after you get into the room, the care there is very good and we will continue to come there.

I love Texas Children’s they are always genuine and fast when I’ve taken my baby girl. I’ve changed my baby dr to the Texas Children’s network cause they are the best! They are very fast every time i come here it’s never a long wait. They are also very efficient, I won’t go anywhere else but here. Thanks to the staff here they are always caring with my child.

Phenomenal experience when you have a sick infant your counting on caring and knowledgeable medical professionals to help you with your helpless baby. Went above and beyond to care for and diagnose her properly. Thank you for helping my little girl!

My baby was sick and I desperately needed an appointment on a Saturday. I called one of their locations but they were fully booked, so they directed me to this location. This location took me in as a walk-in and we were done within 1 hour and 45 minutes (including the results for a flu test). All the staff were very nice and the doctor also did an excellent job. I see many people giving this place 1 stars because they couldn't get a walk in appointment, or because they felt like their Child's needs were more important than the needs of the children waiting. There is a difference between urgent care and emergency room. Many people need to educate themselves on the difference. Health care workers are doing the best that they can do now days. They are not being mean or lazy just because they are not putting you on a pedestal. I just think its really weird that people not only want walk in's, but they also want IMMEDIATE service. I really wish it were mandatory for people to watch a documentary about what health care workers actually go through on a daily basis in different settings. The abuse from the public needs to stop.

No sense of urgency schedule an appointment In hope of speeding up the process had to wait an hour and half just to be room to them have to wait for nearly another hour and half. Staff doesn’t care I would not recommend this urgent care specially if you think setting up an appointment will help.

The rude lady at the front desk said they were unable to see my son because they were about to close and it was 7: 20 PM and they supposed to close at 8: 00 pm

Front desk is rude.they get visibly annoyed if you can't access My Chart right there on the spot. It takes a long time to see a doctor. Be prepared to wait.

What is the point of an urgent care if you don’t take walk-ins? Their horrible app system doesn’t ever have any availability anyway. Never had an issue before, but now they are trying to force people to make appointments at urgent care clinics? Texas childrens is going downhill in all the wrong ways with their policies and systems. Sad to see that they didn’t even try to assess if it was something urgent at an urgent care facility.

I love taking my children here when I can't get a doctor appointment soon. Nurses and providers are considerate, polite and understanding.

Terrible long wait time. The front desk staff is not helpful and does not have empathy for patients. I have had many bad experiences being here at this location.

I went urgent care at 290 location on Sunday 4.45 pm, urgent care was empty (no patient), they refused to check my child without appointment on "save my spot". I don't know what is the meaning of urgent care.

This place is a joke. They told me there was going to be a 2.5 hour wait and that they are advising parents to set their alarms for midnight on Friday to ensure they could get an appointment for the weekend and that I was "lucky" that today they were taking walk ins. What is the point of an urgent care? I'm supposed to just magically know she is going to get this sick? They also have no sense of urgency. My daughter was passed out on me, lethargic couldn't keep her eyes open and they are taking in people ahead of me that are laughing and joking with their kids sitting on their phones? ! This is so unacceptable and we don't have any other pediatric options close by. Pathetic.

Not an Urgent Care! How is this place an urgent care when patients are NOT triaged but rather any patient is seen if an appointment is scheduled over an urgent issue. Read the below comments. Apparently I’m not the only one. If your kid has an urgent issue go elsewhere. My kid had an ankle sprain and possible fracture. I was told I would be fit in an hour later! I witnessed more patients and parents walk in only to be seen for a lesser issue because they made an appointment. IS THIS A DOCTOR’S OFFICE OR AN URGENT CARE FACILITY! How can it be both. We left and went to the ER. THE PURPOSE OF AN URGENT CARE IS SO THAT IT PREVENTS AN ER VISIT.

Made appointment at 2: 15 arrived at 2: 10. Was waiting for an hour just the nurse got the temperature and send us back to the lobby. After more 30 mins I asked how long more to wait bc our appointment was at 2: 15, she said there 5 more patients ahead of us (it’s gonna take about 2 more hours to wait) just to get to the room, then you have to waiting in the room about 40 mins just somebody come to u for 10 mins and said it’s just a virus (we don’t know what kind) give the Tylenol. Really? What the point to make appointment if you have to wait for 5 hours the doctor see u. Horrible and not organized. Never have this experience before! If I can give zero star, I would do it

Brought my toddler in because he had split his head open and this was the closest place and was specifically for children, perfect right? Wrong. I was told by the lady at the front counter that it was appointment only. Maybe this is new because I've never heard of an urgent care that is appointment only, especially since Urgent implies you need attention fairly quickly. Maybe the lady didn't notice, but my son had blood all over his face and clothes. She was nice enough to direct me to their other locations in Katy and the Vintage, but I'm not driving that far for someone to evaluate my son's head wound. They need to remove the Urgent Care title from this location, unacceptable.

This place is the slowest out of all TC urgent cares. I took my son in Sunday because he had a fever. They checked his ears, throat, everything. I thought I was in TC hands, I should be good. Nope! Next day comes, still has a fever, mopping around. Took him in to a doc in the box general ER/urgent care, wow! He has the flu! Too bad i didn't know that Sunday, because it then spread throughout my family! Great job Texas childrens.

Let me also add, that this is not the first time this place has misdiagnosed, shluffed off my family for a "virus", just to go home. I dont know what your MO is, Texas childrens, but to have a location in a highly populated area such as Cypress, Be so lackluster, is just disappointing! Do better!

Worst care my Child had a 102.8 Temp. Was told bc we did not have an appointment it was going to be 2+ hrs. Then bc my sheep make was not over my nose and my 9 montn son kept pulling it off they called security, we just left. Poor. Service.

I can’t thank this team enough for taking in and caring for my baby. Nurse Jennifer was so great, and cared for him like her was her own, I will never forget that. Thank you again, can’t recommend enough!
