These employees wouldn’t have gotten out of their chairs if I had a heart attack right in front of them. I came here for a license and brought all the required documents listed by the state; however, they insisted I needed additional documents. They even reviewed the list with me, couldn’t find where it stated the need for more docs, and proceeded to say, “I’m sure it’s somewhere in there. ”

I've had multiple disappointing experiences here. Today however takes the cake. When I walked into the building with my son there was noone in the front so we turned and walked into the DPS office. When we entered we were yelled at that we couldn't be in there and we're hurried back out to the front by a very rude worker. She asked if we had an appointment and my son gave his name and she barked if he had filled out an application. Clearly confused he answered he had online. She said no you need to fill one out grabbed an application and told him to fill it out in the DPS office. She did no COVID screening. We proceeded to the office where my son and I had to listen to the now two DPS employees shove their mouths full of food (pork rinds!) on personal matters that included someones HIVmHIV and their costs! When my son looked around confused after he was done filling out his application, he was called up while her mouth was full of food again! I am calling DPS' main line to file a complaint. I'm very disappointed that this is the best Gilmer or DPS has to offer for their front facing customer service associates. Super innapropriate!

Staff at the front that check you in are very rude and abrasive, but the ladies at the back are awesome. Place was clean. Masks are required. Seating is well spaced.

Why does it say schedule by appointment and I can’t even find this office on the appointment website then when I drive up there they are closed some people need this office cause it’s close to home very lazy to just shut your door

Renewed my DL this morning at this location where I had scheduled an appointment several weeks ago. I didn’t really know what to expect since things have changed sadly due to the current world situation. Both young ladies were very friendly and courteous. The entire process was quick, professional and well organized. Highly Recommend this 5 STAR location!

We made an appointment to get my drivers license today.but on the website the dps is closed? We live in longview and drove all this way for nothing cause longview’s dsp is always busy.now we have to wait until october

It’s well worth the trip from elsewhere in Texas to go here. The employees know what they are doing and are efficient. There was practically no wait time.

Came here to renew my DL in anticipation of the changes required for air travel begining in Oct 2020. Super fast and efficient office. Everyone was super helpful and I was in and out in about 15 mins.
This was the best TX DPS/DL office I have ever been to! Thank you to the employees!

Glad I went here instead of Longview. Tina was great - Greeted everyone who walked in, moved the line along super quickly (idk how she typed so fast!), while still being friendly. The gentleman worker I met was nice too (I am sorry, was not able to catch his name) ; he made sure to check I had all needed documents as soon as I arrived and helped me find the correct application so no time was wasted. Thanks for making everything a breeze guys!

The employees at this facility are awesome! We took care of 2 issues in 45 minutes! I would have spent ALLLLL DAY in Tyler! Thank you Gina (aka Tina) for everything!

My daughter had to take her driving test they were great. Super friendly and really helpful. We made sure we had all of our stuff filled out and ready to go.
