Texas Department of Public Safety reviews
14Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, well run and super efficient! In general, Flower Mound has exceptionally well kept facilities, such as the DPS and Animal Shelter-they’re all well above par.
Super nice facility and even nicer staff. The guy helping me was so friendly and chit chatted with me. My appointment went super smoothly and I was out of there in about 20 mins. Best DPS experience I have ever had.
I was there this last November and they were absolutely awesome, educated, kind and professional. God bless you all and keep the good work.
Hard to get an online appointment (none same month) but once at the office, pretty quick. Be sure to check to see that you have all the required documents!
As soon as I walked into this place, the officer in the front treated me like a criminal. Without any sort of greeting he yelled "hold it! " Do you have an appointment? " As soon as I began to answer he yelled at me to speak up in a very aggressive way. I felt like a criminal walking into this place and discriminated against.
The staff was incredibly kind to an old lady from another state who had become very nervous with different ways to satisfy new and different ways of getting a drivers license
I thank them for their patience and kindness.
I had a fantastic experience at this DMV. The staff was friendly and efficient, and I was in and out in no time. Kudos to them for making a typically dreaded task so pleasant!
Edit. Had to reduce a star because this newer looking building has so many issues with their walls gutter system baseboards floors, definitely we the people paid too much for this sub standard government building. It looks disgusting. Big attitudes for very average service. Don't try to walk in to do anything. The website didn't have anything that indicates that you NEED an appointment but that's not the case. SO far only 2 thing I know you can walk in and do is title transfer and registration for a vehicle. Everything else requires an appointment. 2.5 stars
This place was immaculate - i had a 1 pm appt and was the only person in the place at 1. The gentleman who helped me was so nice, helpful and funny! I was walking out of there at 1: 35 pm!
Very pleasant and helpful. Chris the gentleman at the front was excellent. Very understanding and helpful.
I've been here twice, both with very positive experiences. I just wish the DL scheduling wasn't booked for the next 4 months. They don't allow walk-ins.
Quick, courteous, spacious due appointments now required. Took my DL photo 3 times and offered to do it a 4th, can you ask for more? ! Also, the outside of the office couldn't have been prettier!
Read a sign that touts how great this place is, with "no lines, ever". I read this while standing in line for a 4 month long appointment.
The standards to get anything done are arbitrary and their website is extremely convoluted so the basic person gets confused.
Absolute waste of my time to come here for a TX DL! Can't have a driver's license because my vehicle isn't registered to me, but I have the title for it, WHAT? ! That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. Not a wonder the TX government can't secure a border, when they can't even handle something as simple as issuing a drivers license!
Well I wasted a morning visit you can no longer walk in to renew your license. Appointment only
