Even though here have been so many changes and things seem to be more complicated, due to federal regulations with identity, the ladies that were working at the Gatesville office were very polite, professional, and helpful.

I had an appointment time of 8: 45am and was told to report 30 minutes prior. I got there at 8: 15, and was finished by 8: 35am (10 minutes before my appointment). The ladies there were very knowledgeable!

My reason was to transfer my CDL. I did make an appointment and was called on time. Having a small staff the workers are very patient and helpful with all customers. According to the 1 star review. I don’t recall any racism or rudeness. Thank you ladies and good job. I was left with a great first impression.

Why does texas have such bad service. I went in to change drivers license from TN to TX and next available day is not till next month. What happened to walk in service?

No receptionist! Called first and sat on hold for an hour. Drove to the Gatesville DMV. Talked to a blonde lady in he back who was extremely rude and had no answers as to what I can do being that my license was never delivered. Her answer was set up another appt and wait 6 weeks. This is completely unacceptable! Then she argued that it was not their fault that the ID was never delivered even though they have my correct address. That's great now I'm probably going to be a victim of idebtity theft! Hello, tracking ID'S in the mail so the wrong person doesn't get other people's stuff? Absurd!

TLDR- the older blonde lady was super rude and unhelpful. We are now on our 4th dmv appointment due to her not doing her job.

So I have been driving my boyfriend to get his license renewed since it expired. We came here as our first dmv appointment and the lady who helped us was incredibly rude and condescending. He brought in a piece of mail from our utility company with our address on it as proof of residency but she told us it was unacceptable since it wasn’t an actual bill. So he had to pull up his bank statement on his phone which took some time since there is no reception. I cannot stress enough how rude she was the entire time. After that was taken care of, he needed to do a written test. He passed and we got a receipt. She then told us we need to make another appointment for the driving test and to bring the receipt and that will be all. We show up to another dmv for the driving test and they told us there was a video we needed to watch (that this lady never mentioned) and we couldn’t do the driving test that day. We then scheduled a third appointment after watching the video and we were told that the lady from this dmv never entered in any of the information from his written test, despite us having a receipt. We now have our 4th dmv appointment scheduled. I will update if something else comes up that has to do with this lady’s actions or lack there of. We pay these people with our tax dollars. This is completely unacceptable. If anybody else in almost any other profession acted this way, they would be fired on the spot.

I had an excellent experience here. The gal that took care of me was incredibly friendly and made the process of transferring my license back to Texas super easy.

I need to get a TX DL since my alabama DL was about to expire. I brought my DL, SSN, passport, 2 paystubs, insurance, registration, and they still would not issue me a TX DL. Due to me not producing two separate proofs of residency. I live with my parents, don't own a home, don't pay bills. After waiting a long time despite having an appointment they made me go to Walmart to get a fishing license to prove my residency. Worst dmv experience ever. I have been to other TX DMV and I did not go through this much difficulty. The website does not say to bring two proofs of residency it says to bring " A " form of residency. Major lack of communication that cost people time, energy, pto etc. Plus they are racist and profiled me as of I'm illegal or undocumented. I was born in Minnesota for goodness sake.

The lady working behind the desk gets out of her car like she's already having a bad day. Yk that's exeptable. But you should NEVER bring your bad attitude to work leave it at the door. The door opens at exactly 8 o'clock. The lady opens the door with a sore look on her face she goes to sit behind her desk she sitting there and she gets up to talk to another lady at the kiosk she stands like 5 feet away from her and goes ma'ma you are blocking up the line do you have an appointment and the other miss goes no I'm trying to make one she says move over and the lady says that wasn't clearly stated and she says yes it was in a really nasty tone we get situated and our number is called we go up and we don't have everything that we need so we say that that's all the lady in austin said we would need she says no that's not all. She proceeds to tell us to book an appointment on the kiosk we leave but stop at the bathroom first to find out there's no toilet paper.the other man was very nice and irate him 5 out of 5 but the broad was very very insufferable. Smile even if your not having having a good day.paint it on and pretend.

Had to make appointment just to ask 1 question. 2weeks later I still have no answer. Since we pay their salaries from state taxes don't we get a choice on how we get service? Can't even call to talk to a live person. If you call to complain it hangs up on you. At least the lady from the appointment was nice and helpful. Don't go to waco for tdps. You won't get treated like a person. Just full of hateful clerks. You can't even walkin for an appointment.

Having to reschedule a appointment due to weather and having to wait another 3 months is ridiculous

Rude lady with shoulder-length brown hair was far from helpful and blurted out. "WE'RE SHORT HANDED AND HAVE NO WALKIN APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE" upon walk in when I merely said I needed to make an appointment. Do not give this city any of your business. Seems like this city is full of grouchy, rude people. Sad my son had to experience this.

Very professional! I had an appointment and I was in and out in about 15 min.
The Lady was very friendly! Very pleasant experience.
