Best experience I’ve ever had at a DMV- they are professional and professional and I was done before my appointment time started!

I was there to transfer my license from Washington State to Texas - twice. My situation was much more complicated than most, and there was some confusion as to how to proceed.
BUT, rather than be dismissive and cold they immediately escalated it to a supervisor, called up to Austin, and then to another supervisor, and got me squared away.

Those ladies were kind, professional, and knew just how to "handle" my uptight self. I had gotten no help online or from customer "service" in Austin. I felt trapped and was upset about feeling stuck. But I left with a smile and felt heard, both with regards to my issue and the friendly chit-chat during the process.

Rarely have I seen in my 56 years government employees with such a firm but light, helpful, and compassionate touch, and what really felt to me like a truly sincere concern and desire to help me out and get my situation favorably resolved. And they did!

On a scale of 1 to 5 's, I would say 12+ 's is more accurate. I hope they get paid well, but whatever it is, it should be more.

The Baytown office is a long drive for me, but even going twice, it was well worth it! AND, it is not hard to get NEXT DAY appointments:)

My only regret is not getting the names of the people who helped me so that I could mention them specifically!

Despite any negative preconceptions you might have about visiting the DPS, this one has some great staff. They are very kind, informative, and patient while being direct enough to keep things moving in a such a stressful environment.

To me they do a good job they are skill in what the strive for and they want you to be alert for the road very nice woman everyone spoke and was kind if your serious about your driving they are too.

The staff was the hero of the building. They helped with understanding what to do and how to do it and where to go and it made the whole event easy and understanding. Thank you

Today I went there and was attended to by Mrs Wintres who resolved my problem with great attention. She provided excellent service. Thank you very much.

My daughter had an appointment to request her Texas ID.
She got an appointment online and printed the application for completion.
At the DPS, she was attended by Mrs. Latoya Hilliard, who I must thank for being so curtious, professional, and patient with us, especially after my daughter had to write her signature about 6 times due to that malfunctioning pen and pad at her station.
Great job Mrs. Hilliard.and thank you.

Wintress Johnson was an absolutely kind and helpful person. My wife and I have been to other DPS locations which they were all rude to us. But Wintress kindly welcomed us and other people waiting and was very helpful to everyone. Definitely a great representation of a perfect employee. Thank you for the amazing service.

I had to come to this office because I misplaced my ID and I showed up without the required documents. JG26227 was very informative on what I needed in order to receive my ID she helped me make a new appointment for later on that day for my return and when I arrived she was very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional.

It's a relatively small DPS office compared to others but the service is quick and efficient.

Do Not go to this place full of not professional wemen and they don’t No anything they let me go there for fifth time every single time asking for a different documents.you should tell the pple exactly what documents that you need from the beginning not letting them going forward and backwards. I would give them zero

ZERO STARS. My first visit was with a hispanic woman who had highlights or blonde/brown hair. She was not friendly and she seemed annoyed. Any question irritated her. My second visit was with SD25778 and it was AWFUL! SD25778 was rude she had so much unnecessary attitude! For the driving test we had an argument in my car. This woman is AGGRESSIVE and shouldn’t be working with people. You can really tell the people who work here are miserable and hate their jobs. THESE WOMEN HAVE NO WORK ETIQUETTE!

Yesterday was our first time here and everyone is so friendly and helpful, definitely recommended this place

Went to get my license renewed had my sec card and drivers license plus my veterans I’d and was told I had to have my birth certificate if that isn’t proof enough don’t know what is so now I have to make another trip they should shut the doors and fire all of them

If i could give less stars I would. Teller id# SD25778 was very rude. I went in with my Son to get driver permit today and she seemed like she didn't want to be there. She was very condescending in the way she spoke to us. Simply question of reassurance, "Do we sign here? " Her answer back was "Thats what i said, " followed by a little ghetto giggle. I feel she needs more training in customer service to better serve the public. Also she kept having to back space and fix typing corrections on the computer while typing with her crazy looking finger nails. Over all experience was horrible. On the other hand my daughter was helped by teller # MN30226 who was so sweet. She was very helpful and had a good attitude, you could tell she likes her job. Come on DMV BAYTOWN! Please weed out the bad apples or get them better trained!
