This is a really great gym. They have tons of regulars the staff know regulars families and stay close friends.

I canceled my membership in person three months ago, but I'm still being charged for it. I've reached out to this location and the corporate office multiple times via phone and email, but haven't had any luck.

Wasn't too bad a year or 2 ago, but it's a wreck now. You get what you pay for. The paper towels dispensers are empty, hand sanitizer wipes are missing. Annoying music that is way too loud. Half the people there are on their phones not even exercising. And i kid you not, they took off the pads on every workout station. You can't sit down on anything. I'm waiting to see if they keep charging me even though I canceled my membership. I got my lawyer ready just in case:)

I wonder if the black guy still work as a manager. He maybe on the theft part. I went there 2 years ago and the gym and poeple go there is dirt.low class from staff to poeple work out in this gym. Run.

I cancelled my membership but they continued to charge me. I didn’t know anything about it until I got a collection letter from an attorney. When I went to the gym to ask about it the general manager Allen “Big Gunz” Coates said that if I signed up again they would forget my debt. He said to ignore the collection letters because he was working on correcting that. I got another collection letter so I went to the gym and was told that the manager actually made a fake account using parts of my identity so that it would be a new account. The new manager, Page Lambrecht, took my cancellation and charged another month. When you sign the contract you pay two months so there’s no reason to charge an additional month. WORST GYM EVER!

I keep having issues canceling my membership. I physically went in to sign and cancel my membership four months ago and since then I keep getting charged for a monthly membership. Ive called four times since then for them to keep telling it's not canceled after they keep saying they will cancel it. I even received a confirmation letter of cancelation the last time I called. Im beyond frustrated at this point. I already hated their "personal training" program when i first joined which was a complete waste of money. The trainer didnt even know what he was doing. All they want is your money.

We are members here, using our SilverSneakers access. They have a lot of equipment that I like and it is in good shape. They typically repair and replace anything that is not working properly. They also have classes that my wife enjoys and are included in the membership. I think the membership is very reasonable and well worth it. They have good trainers for hire if you need support and encouragement.

Hidden "enrollment fees" and "cancellation notice fee" and "annual fee". Even the pricing book the girl showed me was for $15 membership which ended up actually being an $18 membership which is completely deceptive advertising. These people are not upfront and the gym is in absolute bottom of the barrel condition.take your money elsewhere.

My locker was broken into along with ~20 other lockers and my wallet including credit cards, IDs, etc.were stolen.

I cancelled my membership after speaking with the police who told me that the club was actively impeding the investigation.

When cancelling my membership, I was told there was nothing else I needed to do as my account had been set to auto-pay.

A month later I started getting calls from ABC fitness (the collect agency TFF uses) saying there was a problem with my account and asking me to update my payment information. I didn't have an active membership so at first I ignored the calls. The frequency of the robocalls only increased to the point I was getting 2-3 calls a day.

Eventually I decided to call them back to clarify that I am no longer a member. Turned out that the club is trying to charge me for 3 months of membership because they never processed the cancellation.

I have been getting the run around from the general manager who said he would contact the regional manager and clear up the situation. He now seems to be avoiding speaking with me.

Tried calling customer service but went straight to voice mail.

TLDR/ Extremely bad customer service. Would not recommend you join this club for any reason.

Just came here, tried to buy a day pass, they didn't even allow me to pay for a day pass. Front desk got attitude, all they had to do was speak without attitude. This is actually the worst gym in Plano by far. Never had a single good experience here. Y'all should check out any other gym but this one. Plus a day pass cost as much as a month of membership here basically what a joke

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Texas Family fitness gym that I would not hesitate to label as one of the worst I've ever encountered. This establishment proved to be nothing short of a scamster. They displayed a level of untrustworthiness that was truly disheartening. Their tactics involved deceiving customers into signing for Packages and then charging them even after cancellation. Personally, I fell victim to this scheme as I was charged three times without authorization, leaving me with the arduous task of chasing after my money. The front desk team was highly uncooperative, lacking any sense of integrity or professionalism. To top it all off, the branch manager himself turned out to be a dishonest and swindling. My experience with this gym left me with a profound sense of disappointment and a strong warning to anyone considering their services. Stay away from this establishment unless you want to deal with the consequences of their unethical practices.

Worst staff service I had experienced in fitness centers. They will give you false information and later they will start changing there policy rules. I never recommend anyone new to go to this fitness center for you membership. They don’t even apologize for their mistakes and instead they will cover their mistakes. They will make their mistake as yours and will make you pay for it. I seriously don’t recommend this fitness center to anyone but rest is up-to you.

Walked in trying to use the 15-day trial and was only presented with the more expensive plans that included the classes and personal trainer sessions

Was told I could only use the trial if I planned to work out after 8am (supposedly because a CPR certified employee is not there before those hours). I was courteous enough to call and let them know I was looking at other places in the area and I’ve still received 3 phone called after that. Mostly glad I decided to look elsewhere

Very nice staff and better than other location the one off Parker. The workers are very unprofessional at the other location but this location is great!

I was a member for almost three years at this location and for the most part it was ok. It wasn't a great gym, just an average one. Fine if you just wanted to get your daily exercise. Cleanliness and presentation left a lot to be desired (especially in the locker room), but I accepted that as part of getting what you paid for.

The past year though it feels like it has taken a turn. Staff seem more clocked out than usual. Machines are not really presented or cleaned well - it's not uncommon to see machines out of commission for months. There is no real cleaning schedule, since it seems to be left up to staff who don't bother with it for the most part. Even after some rearranging and replacement of some machines it still felt less than good. But still, I and other members put up with it. Maintenance issues seemingly included worn out locker doors scattered loose in the locker room for days presumably slated for replacement, but as I learned later lockers were damaged because they had been broken into.

Last week, several lockers were broken into again, including those that were actually locked. The thief simply tore the doors off and made off with people's belongings without any staff noticing. My wallet was one of these items, though thankfully, I had nothing important or valuable in it outside of my driver's license.

When myself and other members who had their lockers broken into alerted the staff, all they did was take down names and phone numbers. There didn't seem to be much urgency or care about the situation. Other members told me that they had break-ins earlier in the year and staff had similarly been as uncaring about it and failed to warn members.

They made no attempt to contact police about this. I contacted the station and when they arrived, other patrons approached them to report the problem. As best I can tell, they had come in response to my call - the gym had not called them at all.

There has been no attempt to safeguard against further thefts. No one in the gym has reached out to even offer a token apology and assurance to make improvements, which I would have at least appreciated. I understand some things are beyond a business's control, but being this uncaring and uninvested in their members' safety and peace of mind makes me disappointed. It tells me management is either too incompetent or absent to deter thefts, or the thief is known to the staff and they haven't done anything about it. And I frankly don't know what's worse.

Horrible place, Please avoid this business and this fitness. They are scam and ruin your credit.

One star is over rated. Please watch their terms and conditions. I have canceled my membership months back and received lawyer collection letter for months that I was not member! Called this location when I signed up and Kodi the " manager" was rude, unprofessional and hung up on me. Folks, they are just nice at the time of sign up and all the sudden become fraud. And yes again Kodi the manager is very very unprofessional. There is a reason this place is low rated.

This is a decent gym for the price ($10/mo). They typically have good deals if you join near the end of the year.has a good range of equipment but could use some upgrades like a better squat rack, hip thrust machine, bigger warm up area.also wish they had lockers with keypads. I definitely prefer the other location but this one is closer to me so I come to this one.

I went to go workout with my brother since he was visiting from out of town. He wanted to meet with his friend at TFF (who is a member) and decided to tag along, with the expectation that I may be able to obtain a trial pass for my one time visit.

Once I’ve arrived, the Asian lady went on to place a charge of $10 plus tax for my day pass. I did inquire if the gym offered a trial, be it a day, several days, or a week before I’d have to pay membership, but she explained that I’d have to go online and had to arrive before 6PM to receive the free trial.

I do admit that I should’ve researched before coming in on how to receive a free trial, but i don’t understand why it couldn’t be done in person during operating hours.

Given the circumstance that my brother would be here for a short time, I did have to bite the bullet just to work out with him.

My experience was excruciatingly unpleasant from the time I arrived and even during my workout when teenagers would mess around or comment how my grunting was unnecessary.

Overall, my experience of visiting TFF guaranteed that I will NEVER be its member and how they care how much money they can get out of a person instead of actually providing a quality and fair gym experience that everyone deserves.
