Went there this morning because I did not receive my p-ebt card in the mail. Bring your identification. Very clean, safe, friendly, efficient and they are taking every caution with socially distancing, mask wearing, and limiting people in the building. I don't believe they are doing interviews at this time unless you are applying for emergency food stamps. The security guards and employees were very respectful and friendly.

I would leave no stars if the option existed.
I was yelled at by the alleged supervisor who excused herself with “I’m Puerto Rican- it’s how we are! ” To which I replied- “I’m new to this process Id appreciate your patience and thank you in advance. ” Worst experience ever- then- on top of the humiliation I experienced walking in- I learned my benefits were revoked bc I didn’t go to worksource to apply for a job- even though during my interview it was confirmed that wouldn’t be necessary since I’m employed on an unpaid leave of absence while in therapy due to a hostile work environment.

I pray no one else is treated so poorly- no matter why they apply

Oooweee make sure you are prayed up before you cross this threshold! Majority of the staff is rude and desensitized to the struggles of others. The instructions aren’t clear so ask allllllllll the questions you can while you are at the window. If not you’ll be back in line. Whew chile

Went here just to pick up a food stamp card for my disabled brother and was told that although he got a phone call to come pick up a card, it's already been mailed out.this is after we were seen at the first window and sent over to two others.there are 8 windows here but only 2 are being used. I understand that you guys may need extra help but two people helping when there are over 10 other employees taking down decorations off boards but the line is 15+ deep. Houston has to do better and y'all wonder why people come in here frustrated smh

My mom and I went there for services, here at Texas Health & Human Services at HWY 6, they treat everyone with dignity and respect.
That was what I witness.
We went there 5 times and it is quick because people who work there really helpful.
I will help my mom be back there again tomorrow for question 16 in the paper work, but I do not see it.
If you see other location is crowded, please consider this location and you will appreciate people who work here.

If it’s possible I give them negative they are really bad their behavior not good at all. They told me if you can finish your application before 3: 30 pm then you can meet with a social worker today I did that then they told me we are done for today you have to come tomorrow.

Unacceptable! Came here because they had the best reviews out if all the offices available.
Doors open at 8: 00 we got here 8: 05, only about 6 people ahead of us.currently 9: 30am and still waiting. Eveyone ahead of us is gone and new people being taken care of. I aske the counter, she said we were placed in a seperate department and they are short staffed.
This office should a system in place that keeps track of wait time so that management can follow up. It would also help if they had something similar like the Dmv where the citizen can see wait time or place in line.
We were just called in at time of writing this review.
Coincidence that we were called about 5 minutes after complaining.
Found it VERY ridiculous that the staff had to enter the information manually from the online application to their own system. This is inconvenient for the applicant as well as the staff. Both systems should interface together to provide smoother and time efficient process.
Positive note: Staff was courteous and professional.

They are unhappy with their jobs & have an attitude when you correct them. Poor government service. They work for us but is always rude! Doesn’t make sense.

The systems are down and I cannot get my EBT card due to idiocy on their part. I have no food in my house because of their disorganised system and way of handling people's cases. Don't call 211, the automated voice will lead you in circles if you want to speak with an ACTUAL human being. Call the actual office number.
