Texas Hills Vineyard reviews
9Numerous incredible dry reds at very reasonable prices. Great people, great setting. Just an incredibly nice place to visit.
Exceptionally nice staff and excellent service. I got to play with the dog and they get a extra star for that.
Love this place. Great outdoor seating. Listening to the water fountain on a Sunday afternoon. Saturday's they have music. One of the only wineries where I tasted their wines and loved them all.
Everything about this winery is perfection. The wine, charc boards, live music - incredible. They take “dog friendly” to another level. Chloe - the absolute best dog ever. Mary - LOVELY. Everything and everyone was incredible and I highly recommend!
Very beautiful and relaxed environment at the vineyard - staff friendly and knowledgeable. It was an enjoyable experience!
The tasting was great, the view was beautiful. I also enjoyed the music amd the babbling fountain.
We have been coming to Texas Hills for over 10 years. It has always been one of our favorites.
We showed up today and headed inside to get a bottle of our favorite wines. We were stopped by a lady who told us tastings were on the patio and then introduced us to the other person as “Newbies”.
I inquired if they sold bottles outside and they asked if we even knew what we wanted…. Yes, even as Newbies who have been coming here for only more than a decade…we do know what we want.
Then they tried to get us to have a seat on a crowded patio with a woman laughing loudly (good for her but I don’t want to sit next to her). We requested a picnic table that was set back in some trees.
When the server came over, he asked why we didn’t want to sit on the patio and asked (trying to be funny) if we had body odor. Explained that we were antisocial as that sounded more polite than saying that lady has a loud obnoxious laugh.
He came back later to ask that we stop feeding the dog cheese (understandable and reasonable) and then told us about a wine named after the dog, Lily.
We requested a bottle of the wine and he said he that he would wait for us to come get a tasting first. We said no, that we would just take a bottle. Waited for 10 minutes, he never brought us the wine. So we gave up and left.
Guess this place isn’t interested in maintaining relationships with long term customers. They just want newbies to come buy overpriced tastings and leave.
We will be sure not to bother them anymore.
We stumbled on this location on our way home from Pedernales Falls State Park, and we are so glad we stopped! Mary and Vanessa were so nice and informative while we did our wine tasting. They are also dog friendly, so we were able to sit outside with our pup while enjoying the wine and scenery. I’d highly recommend this vineyard to any outdoor and wine lovers!
This vineyard is excellent and you should put it on your Hill Country list of places to try. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable in the wine making process and has a fascinating background that influences his current work. Bob is absolutely awesome and provided great customer for me and my family. Become wine club members after the tasting!
