Texas MedClinic Urgent Care, Austin TX

I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. I had a great experience here in 2017, so I went there again in July 2023. Clearly something changed. First, there was little or no AC. In July. In South Texas. It had to be approaching 90 degrees in the lobby and still well over 80 degrees in two waiting rooms. I told the NP what my issue was, how it was successfully treated twice before (including here), and they refused to treat it. They sent me home where everything actually became worse. I ended up requiring much more difficult treatment at another urgent care nearby where the NP there said this place did everything wrong. So in summary, come here if you want to wait in an uncomfortably hot lobby and end up going home significantly worse off than before your visit.

Slow, slow, slow. Asked for ID and insurance 3 times. Was there for 2 hours no other pt in there. It was like they don't care you're feeling bad and sick

Great staff great care. Not going back until they fix their ac. I would recommend elsewhere until they do, it's a sauna in there. Also, I know you have to collect info, but can you do it while someone is getting treatment rather than have them wait.

Great place to go to! Staff is amazing and so are the doctors. Got in and out within an hour. I recommend this place especially if you can't get in with your regular doctor!

Wished I got the doctor's name. She was great! I want to make her my Primary Care doctor. Very nice and knowledgeable. Thank you

Doctor did not know the difference between a spider bite and a burn.
The assistant did not know how to wrap my wrist with a bandage. The bandage fell off before I left the office. Poor equipment, is what the assistant told me directly, like dull scissors and such.
Was the biggest medical mistake ever. Thank you for alot of waisted time.

Everything was great until therapy. They claim the company who bought them had failed to fix computer communication. I had a work based accident. I waited a couple of weeks or more to get therapy. Workman's comp sent me elsewhere for therapy. After a few days after getting therapy set up with the new company Texas Med called me to set up therapy appointments. Too late.

Texas Med Clinic Urgent Care has thee most caring and compassionate staff. Everyone was extremely respectful.
The only negative comment I may have is there was no AC, so I was sweating bullets from the time I walked in there.

The visit was terrible. The staff is not good. Unprofessional and has Unprofessional conversations and behaviors for all to hear. No genuine care of giving proper service ans care.
Why would a person have to wait over an hour and half in lobby if there is only 1 person in the entire clinic.
There is no communication from staff. Very lackadaisical. Terrible place if u r trying to get well or get service. Terrible staff and lacks professionalism and care.

The doctor and staff were amazing, I didn’t feel uncomfortable and it was quick. They treated me nicely and sent me off my jolly way without pain or concern. (I was fine! But they still treated me like I was hurt so it made me feel less dramatic)

This place is ridiculous. To the owner. Every time I come in. 4 people in the waiting room. 3 hours to take a drug test. This makes no sense. We are the customers. I literally had to speak up to be seen.
This is not the 1st time. The 4th time. Your staff are lazy. I go to Concentra. No more than an hour. That's with 15 people in the waiting room. I'm going to speak up every time. You allow this and have not done anything to stop this.
It only takes 15 minutes to take the test.
Stop covering up for them. Playing mommy to ur workers is not good for business.

I went to this urgent clinic after the St, David’s Urgent Care decided they no longer wanted to accept my insurance and I’m so happy that I did because the folks here were super friendly and getting in and out was extremely quick.

My doctor was great! I just really appreciated how quickly I was able to be seen and the doctor was super attentive when I told him what was wrong.

Doctors and nurses have always been my heroes here. Same as yesterday, they were helpful and caring. However, an incident occurred at the front desk during my visit involved a clerk causing great concern and was brought up to management. Management was involved only because I believed that clerk didn’t represent this company. Her attitude and work ethic must be reviewed. Uncaring and irresponsible person like her should not be working in a place where patients are in the need of help at all time. In order to provide better care to patients, the check-in process must also be reviewed.

Wait time on Oak Hill location says 15 min but the person at the Parmer location said if it won't let you check in that means they are booked up for the day so I said that means the wait times online aren't accurate, right? She said they are. I asked her why it would say 15 minute wait if they are booked up for over an hour. She said she didn't know. That was all after I walked in and two girls took forever to come out to the desk and proceeded to ignore me for five minutes before either one of them even acknowledged that I existed.

Great service by staff and Dr Yang is fabulous. You can go online, “check in”, receive an appointment time, and get notified when your appointment is available. I highly recommend Texas MedClinic Urgent Care.

1st visit: Pleasant staff the Dr was great! I am the worst when it comes to going to the Dr's office today's experience was a positive one.

2nd visit to Texas MedClinic and glad to say; the staff was great once again!

They misdiagnosed my complete Achilles rupture. Said it was a "strained" tendon, sold me crutches, and told me to take lots of Ibuprofen for a few weeks. No x-ray, no splint, no walking boot, no referral to a PT. Had to go to a real orthopedist to get proper medical care.
