My wife was referred to a hematologist here prior to her surgery to obtain baseline labs for a clotting disorder. She has left 4 voicemails with the new patient line, which never has an answer. They called back once and unfortunately my wife was about to have a biopsy and she tried to immediately call back and never was able to get ahold of anyone again. When she spoke with the front desk, there was no way to go around this process other than to leave a voicemail. She stated the urgency of the appointment request multiple times. Unfortunately, her surgery is next week and she will now be unable to have the important information and clearance from hematology. This is very disappointing as this group was highly recommended. I'm sure the care the doctors give is wonderful, but the process to become a new patient is inappropriate and disappointing. I highly suggest a new process be implemented.

I can only speak to my own experience, but Dr. Aurora has been an excellent oncologist for me for nearly 10 years now. I appreciated his honesty and ability to lay out the facts of my condition and prognosis from the start, and I felt I got excellent care during the diagnosis, chemo, and radiation stages.

5 Starts again for Texas Oncology - Grapevine.
Dr. Aurora and his team of professionals in Grapevine go out of their way to give each person the very best care. These people care at Texas Oncology or at least the team that supports and works with Dr. Aurora. He is a man that makes each patient feel like they are the only one in the office and gives is undivided attention and expertise to the person. Truly from the time you walk in the outer office till the time you walk out, you are cared-for and watched over.
Thank you - Texas Oncology 2-9-2023

Another 5 Stars for Dr. Aurora and his team.
Michelle will draw the blood work in the lab and you never feel the needle, Dana (Dr. Aurora assistant) will greet you afterwards, escort you to your room and cover all the updates in your fill with a bright smile. Dr. Aurora will shortly visit you after Dana has finished and give you a complete understanding of your progress, along with advice of what is best for the next stage. Then he will lead you to Trin for a quick and easy check out in the office. This team works together and you feel like you are the most important person when you are with them.
They are remarkable at Texas Oncology - Grapevine.

5 Stars for the people of Texas Oncology-Grapevine. I have been a patient for over 8 years now. From the minuet you walk in and greeted by Jamell with her smile, then Michelle or Jessica that are the lab nurses that help you and make you feel like a person not a patient. From that point to Dr. Vikas Aurora who is always positive, personable but honest about your condition, he makes sure a patient fully understands what is happening and the steps need to help you. Finally, to nurse Heather who will follow up in person or by phone to touch base and check on you.
I am sure there are other Oncologist doctors and nurses in DFW but I cannot imagine any better.

My Doctor sent a referral to Texas Oncology Grapevine last month November 11. I have followed up with phone calls and got transferred to the new patient appointment  phone number. Not once have they returned my calls. Finally went to the physical location yesterday and still cannot get someone to make an appointment because the person in charge is out of the office for a few days.

Is it possible that one person being out of the office stops all new patient appointments?

It's going to be a month since my initial referral was sent in and I still don't have any communication from the office. It might not require an ER urgency but a month to make an appointment seems alarming.
