Texas State Aquarium reviews
21Absolutely Amazing! Plenty of things to explore, everything was visible, and All of the animals were very well kept. Be sure to go before 1230p.m. If you want to enjoy the Dolphin show. Miss Claudia is a great attendant! Plenty of air conditioned areas. Everything was handicap friendly. They even had the option to swim with sharks (for an add charge)! There was food and drink stands. WORTH IT!
Great experience, but it is a little pricey. They advertise a 3 story aquarium, but it's really only 2. They staff was great and very informative.
I hate this place. Was my first time ever to visit and was extremely underwhelmed. The habitats were all made of plastic and had practically zero actual coral and other things for the fish. It was incredibly short for being called the state aquarium. The frog enclosure outside was one medium tank with many different species inside, which promotes awful breeding habits and distress. It cost $89 and I was not even there an hour before driving back 2+ hours because how awful it was. If you do go, I hope you pack a lunch because their food options are laughable.
The aquarium is so nice! My partner and I got to look at everything under 2 hours. It is a great experience. Buying tickets online had us inside with no wait at all!
My little sister had a good time at this aquarium. She enjoyed the dolphins show, and 4D movie.
To be honest, for as much of promo and hype they do, and for as pricey as it was, it really wasn't all that great. No crowd management they should only let so many through every so often so that its not so packed, and that way, it gives everyone a chance to enjoy all they have to offer. Also, my wife was in a wheelchair and only 1 elevator was working for the entire facility, which was not acceptable. God forbid a fire or emergency actually happened a lot of handicap people like my wife would have been left waiting for only 1 elevator. Also they need to have more outdoor shows seems like everytime we go they only have 2 showings for a whole days worth. Honestly dont waist your time or money. Horrible experience.
We loved the new splash pad that comes with admission! Of course the aquarium is amazing as always.
The employee that scanned my tickets didn't charge for parking or didn't let me know where I was supposed to pay for parking. When I was leaving the parking lot I couldn't get out because he/she didn't give me a token. So I saw the manager I told him that I wasn't charged for parking and had no token. The manager was very nice to give me a token and I was able to exit the parking lot. I really do missed the flight show it is sad that they got rid of it
My group thought it was pretty pricey for the size of the place. 3 exhibits and a dolphin show
Super fun and has great exhibits including a dolphin show and also has very interactive exhibits like feed the blue rays and touch the hermit crabs and a whole bunch more!
We loved our aquarium experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, and we got to see and touch so many cool ocean creatures.
Gor the price it wasn't worth it. Over a 100 for 3 people and it only took 40 minutes to see all the exhibits. The exhibits were amazing, it was just the outrageous price that was the turnoff.
A really nice aquarium with indoor and outdoor exhibits as well as a really great splash pad. There are good food options inside as well as a nice dining area where you can look out over the Gulf and see dolphins as well as pelicans diving for fish.
There are also 4D films included in the entrance fee which is great. We watched a: 15 BBC film about sharks and they were also offering Happy Feet during our visit.
$40/person seemed a little steep but they do rescue so that does help to supplement that worthy activity.
Exhibits are new & well kept, gift shop is really nice, workers are helpful & kind. Worth a visit + students can get a slight discount with id.
This place is really great - we’re staying in Port A and wanted an air-conditioned chill day and the aquarium was perfect. Really cool exhibits - everybody loved it.
An excellent place to take the family. Educational. Kind of pricey, but worth it, especially for children.
You must plan to see the dolphins show. You will be supporting a good cause while having fun and enjoying the remarkable tricks performed by these dolphins.
I recommend looking into a membership definitely worth it especially if you plan on coming more than once.
There was a lot to see, but they are still extremely overpriced for entry, food, and souvenirs.
Really good time at this place. Will be returning when we are back in the area. Kids has a blast! Really enjoyed the dolphin show. I personally really loved the jelly fish portion.
It was amazing! I had a great time, there is a lot to see and the 4D cinema is something you must try.
Perfect for a family day or a date
