Texas Urology Specialists-DeSoto reviews
16I do recommend these Doctors. I have had a urine problem for years and while being a patient in the hospital I met Christie. After going to visit her as a outpatient she solved my problem with medication. I am very happy with her. Visit her don’t wait too long like I did
My worst mistake was to step into this place. They show no interest in your problem other than wasting your time and taking your money. I don’t usually do reviews but this place pushed it to the limit. After three appointments, nothing was solved. Now I’m seeking for help from another urologist.
Very slow, unorganized, double book appointments apparently because you have to wait longer than appointment time. When asking for estimated wait they have no answers. Wouldn’t recommend.
My experience with Kristy was brief to the point, she explained all my options and took the time to me me understand the long term outcome.thank you for your patience with the Patient.
I want thank all the staff at Texas urology specialists for me there time to see to my needs about prostate and urinary problem.
The in-office procedure was explained at every step of the way with clear instructions & went well. At follow-up, the PA, Kristy, was very patient & encouraging, answered all questions, gave understandable advice & expectations for recovery time, & reiterated their availability for problems or questions.
On each of my visits the medical staff has been professional, courteous, and attentive when addressing my issues. I am very satisfied with the medical care I am receiving.
I would have given 5 stars. The staff and Dr. Jain were wonderful! Had to take 2 stars off because the off site nurse never called me back and it cost me extra money.left a voice message on Thursday, and called the office another 2 times on Friday trying to get my issue resolved. If the nurse had simply returned my call I could have had my prescription sent to another pharmacy and saved $50. This is ridiculous. I'm pretty angry about that.
Dr. Jain raised his voice at me for not making an appointment for a procedure that his staff was supposed to contact hospital for. This doctor forgot; he don’t pay me; I pay him, and Dr. Jain got fired today! What he should have done was ask his staff to make sure I got scheduled for the procedure before I left the office today, but he decided to come at me. I’m not the one doc!
I have been with this Dr Jain for many years now. He is professional. He is efficient. His staff is great. What else can I say? Anyone needing an Urologist can be his patient. I recommend him.
I walked out of the appointment after waiting an hour.
I'm basing my review on wait time only.
My appointment was for an initial vasectomy consultation that I scheduled weeks in advance and even received multiple text reminders to be on time, etc.
I showed up 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment, filled out the paperwork, and paid my co-pay. So far, so good.
Finally, I got roomed twenty-five minutes past my scheduled appointment (45 mins total) and waited an additional 15 minutes to see the doctor before walking out.
I decided to walk out because I don't believe waiting an hour for an appointment that we scheduled weeks ahead of time shows any consideration for my own time, commuting time, and time off work.
When I emailed my complaint to the Practice Manager, the reply was that the office was busier than usual, being the end of the year and everyone meeting their deductibles wanted to see the doctor before December 31st.
I understand that offices get busy. Just tell me you have longer than usual wait times so that I may find a provider that can assist in a timely fashion.
This office still believes that a paper mask will stop a micro virus, with a 99% survival rate, by requiring a mask for admittance. The common flu has a higher fatality rate.
How silly can a medical office get?
That is like believing that a chain link fence will stop a mosquito.
Full blown absurdity on display.
Called weeks ahead to let them know my insurance changed and to check prior to my visit. They didn’t, than had we wait for an hour while they couldn’t figure anything out. Waste of time. Go else where!
Well, my appointment was at 3: 45 pm. Came in on time, 4: 30 still waiting. Reason I’m told is because I’m the last scheduled appointment. But people came after me and still went in before me. I don’t recommend this clinic any longer. I will not come back here again. I would rather try somewhere else. Very disappointed. I’d rather not even give it one star, but I wouldn’t be able to write my review with nothing there.
My experience at this facility was a positive one! Yes, I arrived early to do paperwork and waited passed my appointment time, but I didn't mind that so much. I needed to see the doctor! I really liked Dr. Van Horn. He listened, answered my questions and gave me good advice. I also appreciated his manner. He is kind, caring and gentle! Thank you Doctor!
First time going there and it was a horrible experience! First you are kept on hold for a lengthy amount of time on the phone trying to make an appointment; then I sat and waited 1 1/2 hours for my appt even though I was there 1/2 hour early just in case in needed to fill out paperwork (which I didn't) and saw all of these people go ahead of me and ended up being the LAST patient to leave AFTER closing; the people who work there are not pleasant except for the receptionist who tries to be so nice to cover for everyone else's lack of personality - that was appreciated; nobody smiles; no one explains exactly what they are going to do to you BEFORE they do it so I got a little painfully caught of guard with a test that they did on me. VERY poor bedside manner. Dr. Van Horn spoke so fast that my head was hurting after I left. He basically rushed me through my appointment because he was overbooked. Not my problem.come up with a system where that won't happen and then you will have time to speak slowly so people can understand what you are trying to say. Overall, I hope I don't have to go there again and I will make sure to let my PCP know not to ever refer me there again. I will find my own doctor.
