Texican Cafe, Kyle TX

Texican was super busy, but got us seated within 20 minutes. Our server was attentive and our dinners arrived very quickly. Food was very good.

Lunch was great and service excellent. Everything that I have ever ordered was delicious and served on a hot plate.

The best place in town for a Friday evening dinner with the family. Great selection of food and they have a little area out front for the kids to run around on. Plenty of beer and mixed drinks with authentic Texan-Mexican Food.

Really enjoyed this place. The vibe for date night is nice, or just lunch. No at bar sitting unfortunately. The food is about the norm in the area.

I bought a plate of 2 enchiladas with carne guisada on top I was not to impress and end up paying 17 dollars and change for the plate which I think it was over price and not very authentic Mexican plate.

Traveling home with an overnight stop in Kyle, we decided to stop here for dinner. It is the first time we have eaten at any Texican Cafe. We got the queso w/ground meat & guacamole (on the side). Delicious especially if you add the salsa to it. The chips were
light and airy And didn’t seem to fill us up before dinner. I got the beef fajitas cooked medium rare, as requested, Charro beans …mmmmmm! Hubby had the El Paso cheese enchiladas which were similar to ones in New Mexico w/red sauce. For dessert, Sopapillas with cinnamon sugar and drizzled
With warm honey. The sopapillas were light and airy, it was like eating cotton candy just less sweet. Next trip I want to try the Margarita flight.

Love this Location in Kyle. The atmosphere is quiet, not boring, just chill. The waitstaff is friendly and will give you suggestions if you ask. Food is fast, fresh & delicious. I've been here twice since I discovered it. My new go to for TexMex. The first time I ordered the porkchop plate. It was flavorful and tender and for dessert fried ice cream. It was so good I had to go back and try another entrée. Second time I ordered the tacos AL carbon they were good. Same visit I also tried the chicken verde enchiladas ooooomg those were worth the second visit. For dessert I had to have the fried ice cream with the Carmel and pecans on top. I believe I have become that person, the one that saves room for dessert. That Fried Ice cream gotta go back soon. Try this place in Kyle it's worth the drive. Oops forgot to mention they have dosxx on draft another plus.

It's not as good as the original location on Manchaca, but it's still good. The salsa was different; tomato pieces were too chunky. Other than that, it was nice.

We are a regular customer and the reason is…. It appears to be a well run business with friendly/helpful staff and great Mexican food.

The food is always on point. ALWAYS. The location was rather small and the floor is slippery with just normal shoes. Our server was amazing. She got everything right and checked on us often. The drinks from the bar were not good though. They need more training on how to make a margherita and Mexican Martini. Too much sweet and sour, not enough alcohol. The Mexican martini was very bitter and tasted like pickles. The color was a light green. I would suggest taking the bar staff to Trudy's or Chuy's bc their drinks are on point.

We have been eating at this restaurant since I was little. The first one was in Manchaca in Austin. The newer location in Kyle is just as good. I got the shredded chicken chimichanga and loved it!

Very nice, new version of the original restaurant. The service was very good.
The chips are very good, same as the original location. The chicken fajitas were just a bit on the tough side. Otherwise, a good meal.

Enjoyed lunch at Texican Cafe with my grown kiddos today and we were excited to try the new restaurant in Kyle. Our waiter Kelly was friendly and very attentive. The food overall was decent to good all though I think that many of the dishes lacked a bit of flavor. We will definitely come back!

We had a bday lunch for our pastor with over 40 people and they were so accommodating! I really loved having Ana as our server because she was so awesome to our section. She was hustling and our section loved her!

The salsa and chips are hands down the best I’ve had in Austin and Kyle both. Just that delicious. So much garlic in the salsa yummy! The food is good too. The margaritas could be better they’re too sweet but the food makes up for it. I recommend the chicken enchiladas with green sauce. And the fajitas are good too! Try the Queso flameado, it’s quite delicious

I tried the pork chop breakfast. The two chops were razor thin and pretty dry. I will be back to try something else.

I did not dine, I picked up dinner for my family of 4. This was my first time as a patron of the Kyle location, and I was very pleased. It was welcoming when I walked in the door, my food was ready in time, it stayed warm until I got home, and it was delicious. Everyone loved their meals.
