So glad I moved out of here after 2 years of living here. I am going to save the time of writing a whole novel on why NOT to choose the Abbey at Sonterra as your home.

I have been living very comfortably at this lovely place for over a year, and I honestly have almost zero complaints. Being on the 4th floor, the parking garage makes living here very convenient. Highly recommend if you are looking for real luxury apartments.

I recently moved in and have nothing bad to say about this place! From the moment I toured with Jenny, she made me comfortable and impressed me with her knowledge of the property. She made the move in process smooth and easy! Thank you Jenny! So thrilled to have made the Abbey at Sonterra my new home!

This place may look beautiful but it's a wolf in sheep's clothing. Yes the area is nice but after living here for years it's gone downhill management wise. The reason it's awful place to live, is security, my car was broken into the window smashed even though it was locked and nothing of value insight. Your packages will be stolen if you are not home and all they say will be use fetch. While even with fetch are packages also would go missing. However as bad as all this is; this happens often to many people and there is no solution this is the problem. The management is very combative and always on the defense no matter the question or your approach. It really feels like it's the Abbey vs.it's residents. When you ever try to express a concern on security you are met with a combativeness and told it is always your fault. The management and front staff will tell you it is not the abbey's job to secure your safety. As I can understand that to some degree, we have had many cars broken into all the time. One night we had 15+ cars broken into and back to back nights over about a 3 day period; however this happens every other month as well. All the windows smashed and some doors even pried open. And no matter what residents say to the Abbey about not feeling safe and trying to find a middle ground to have some more security they will NOT do anything to put a stop to it and will come back with odd excuses. We where once told that gates, cameras, and security does not stop crimes? They won't have night security yet have a 24 hour tow and yes they will tow your car. They always lock everything downstairs (but the gym and mail room) after office hours and have cameras to see and stop residents from stealing their things. Yet they could care less if your stuff is stolen and you are fearful. Also the front staff is always changing, sometimes you can deal with a very professional and helpful staff, but not often. You are made to feel like a number not a person. I have been up front to simple drop off a package that wasn't mind and I was told by staff that it's not their problem and I should use fetch. I wasn't even asking for a argument I nicely was dropping off someone's package that wasn't mind. Everything seems like a argument and I don't understand why? Difficult people to work with. Only positive thing I can say about it, is beautiful inside and out, great maintenance staff and that's it. To me safety, feeling that people care, and non combativeness is worth more than a beautiful property. Each year it seems to get worse, management wise. Because of this I can not urge you more if you are reading this to find another place.

We have been in the process of relocating, so we stopped by to check this place out. I'm glad we arrived when we did, because I'm thinking we dodged a bullet here. There must have been 20 cars broken into, and we were lucky enough to pass by some folks and talk to them. They say the management is very defensive when the residents complain about the lack of security, and don't do anything to help. This place looked nice, but with such horrible security issues, it was an easy NO on our list. Best of luck to all the folks who had their vehicles broken into and stuff stolen. It's too bad the management isn't taking better care of y'all.

Visited the property today Nov 27,2023 seeking a 3/2 or a 2/2. Oscar walked me through the property and showed me the model unit. The common areas were all clean and orderly. The hallways were definitely cold (at least on the third floor) but once you enter that unit, definitely stellar! The restrooms and closets on these are huge. I'm interested in the community events he said they have monthly. I'm still debating on the location as I'm more keen to being immediately close to to 281 or 1604 but it isn't a stretch. The prices were competitively set, no issues. Looking forward to making a decision soon. Oh, and thank you Jenny for referring me over, this property definitely most aligns with what I'm looking for.

PEICE OF GARBAGE, management is use less. Not worth, no security measurements, even people steal your packages in front of your door. No proper maintenance apartment hallway is always dirty and smelling Bad. I would not recommend this apartment complex or management group for multiple reasons. There has been a lot of management & office staff turnover but each group has been unprofessional, unresponsive, & not courteous. Not Friendly

Right now as it stands I am very happy with The Abbey. The neighborhood is pretty nice, and the people that I’ve met are pretty cool. The amenities are amazing and the front office people are awesome. I’ll have to update a month or so.

So it's been over a year now. There's been a change in management and all new employees (outside of maintenence.)

I do like the fact that repairs are done relatively quick, and you save a lot because of the free cable and internet with wifi.

I would definitely recommend this apartment community for single people, roommates, people with infants and animal lovers but probably not for families (those with small children)

Reasoning behind that is, there is a pet spa and pet park but there isn't really anything for kids to do.

Of course there is a very nice pool area that kids can utilize but can't have parties or gatherings (like a birthday party or anymore than 2 guests) because it's considered a "resort" community.

Outside of that, The Abbey is nice place to stay.

My experience since moving into The Abbey at Sonterra has been nothing but exceptional. Between the awesome staff in the office, spacious floor plans, and amazing amenities I can’t decide what I love more.

The manager and Jeny are terribleeeee. I have been living here for two years but the communication with the manager, the staff and Jeny is really terrific, they never can give a solution. I hope they return me back my $850 deposit.

What really makes this apartment complex stand out is the amazing staff. Patty, the manager, and Alex, the assistant manager, are always professional, courteous, and helpful. They go above and beyond to make sure that every resident is satisfied and comfortable.

By far the worst apartment living experience I've had in my life, don't move here if you value your privacy, property, or money. The staff are either completely clueless or are only concerned with bleeding tenants dry of money and avoiding any real work, I have never been so utterly screwed back to back in my life. Expect to have packages stolen, see trash everywhere, have your car broken into or parts stolen from them, see the compactor overflowing with rotting food and old furniture, and to have pool days ruined by teenagers who don't even live in the complex being loud and obnoxious. Also, to any of my fellow Disabled Veterans out there, avoid this terrible place. Overall, the lack of accountability, effort, and care, alongside the amount of money you'll spend living in this complex is far from worth it. (Someone on the management team at the Abbey thinks they're funny making comments that I resigned my lease, which I most definitely didn't, it's pretty pathetic and telling that they reply with lies or sarcasm.)

I have been a resident at Abbey at Sonterra for just about a year now. As I approach my lease renewal, I want to take the time to share how amazing my experience here has been. From the application process to the day to day ins and outs of apartment living, the Abbey at Sonterra is truly luxury living. The amenities are top notch and better than any other apartment I’ve experienced!

Yes, the leasing office staff has gone through a transition and there is an entire new team, but they remain super responsive and helpful with any and all issues and concerns. Keeping in mind that in a community with this many residents, there will always be issues but having a leasing office that cares and works diligently to correct all concerns is key and truly appreciated!

I wish more people took the time to leave positive reviews but unfortunately reviews are mostly utilized for negativity.

I am truly excited to renew my lease here at Abbey at Sonterra and even considering transferring from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom! (Which by the way, sounds like an easy process).

Bottom line. I love living at the Abbey at Sonterra! Stop in and see for yourself!

Pros: -Awesome amenities if you have time to use them.
-Parking garage is nice.
-Great location!
-Maintenance was always happy to help me and fast to contact.

Cons: -Expensive prices for below average treatment and care from the complex.
-Gates are nice when they work, I only saw them all closed for about a month in the whole year I lived here.
-Security is very bad, I had my truck stolen and the office staff did absolutely nothing to get camera footage from the only camera in the front enterance.
-The officer who is supposed to patrol the garage has never been seen or heard from when contacted.
-People steal packages and food/uber deliveries.
-No body picks up after their animals even though the complex did supply the property with bags AND trash cans.
-Did not get my security deposit back till 4 months after I moved out (supposed to be 30 days).
-When I did get the deposit back $300 was taken to recarpet the entire apartment due to "stains", no stains were there when I left.
-Towers will take your car even if they just saw you park 2 minutes ago to put groceries away.

Conclusion: Maybe I just had bad luck with this place but every time I had an issue, the office staff, (Veronica Gomez specifically who I pray has been fired by now) was blaming me and calling me stupid for things that were not my fault. They dismissed emergencies and the priorities were always with their money and not caring about the renters. I understand they don't need to be my best friend but don't call a resident retarded for leaving their car to take groceries up the side steps or tell me to install a camera on my dash to see who stole my truck. It's basic customer service just to be nice, I don't think that is asking for too much.
