Construction going on now around the area. But beautiful to take an awesome picture with family or self. It captures the old west feel.

The Alamo is a real piece of San Antonio history. I like the effort they are making to preserve the site.

Although it may be one of the most popular places in San Antonio Texas to visit, it was ok and unimpressive. The main attraction may be the church, and it was surprised as how simple it was. If you are a historian or love to hear stories about the past this is the place to go. The audio tour is $9 p/p and you are given a remote that plays the history as you walk around.

Beautiful from the outside, but we couldn't get a timed ticket to go inside. The online ticketing system was a bit deceiving. It told me that few tickets were left for the next 3 time slots, but acted like later time slots were open, until I actually opened them to get tickets, at which time I found out the rest of the day was sold out. Why didn't it say that at noon, the first time I looked? We would have planned earlier (days before) if we knew they book up that far in advance. Plus, the line was so closely packed, there was no sense of social distancing, which is probably the goal of the timed tickets.

We went and did the audio tour, it was 9 dollars. We really enjoyed ourselves. The history of the place is amazing, and we learned alot we didn't know. Would highly recommend taking the tour especially if you enjoy history.

I wanted to make this stop while driving across the country from California to Florida. I made a reservation online via the Alamo website. Nowhere on the website or after I received confirmation of my reservation was there any mention that there was construction being done on the outside of The Alamo. This was not a great experience for me or my son. As we were planing on taking some great photos of ourselves standing in front of the main structure, there was a crane and folks were working on the structure. I get that this place needs maintenance, but the fact that it was currently being worked on should have been disclosed in advance. We did not even bother to do the tour. Very disappointed that The Alamo Organization did not publish this on the Google My Business page or even the main website. Very Disappointed. #THEALAMOORGFAIL

Good place for history buffs. Well preserved interesting. Especially interesting. I suppose to Texans. Nice displays, beautiful grounds. A short walk from San Antonio Riverwalk which is really quite nice.

Apparently NOT a fan of bikes nor dogs. We were cycling towards the mission and a park ranger ran towards us screaming NO bikes. We weren't actually going to go within the walls but cycling past is prohibited. I do know from a previous visit that pets are not allowed as well. Even if carried in a pet tote.
