The Backyard, College Station TX

Seems like a hit or miss place. First night was loads of fun with beer pong and cornhole. Next day was dead. Great bartenders though.

Everything about this place is good, except that it gets overcrowded on Saturdays. They have 2 floors to accommodate the crowd but that’s still not enough!

I’ve never had an issue with The Backyard before tonight. I was with a group of 8 people and we all had our hand stamped at the front entrance. The photo shows the qualify of the stamps. My group and I were kicked out because we did not have stamps that were identifiable. We waited in line for 20 minutes to be kicked out of the bar.: (

Two male bouncers with dark curly hair harassed us the whole night. Worst service i have ever had! Will never be returning!

Terrible service! Bar is a really cool layout but the bouncers are rude and looking for issues. Definitely would never go back!

My tab had 4 poorly mixed drinks and my total was $47. Will not return and do not recommend.

They are inconsistent with their cover charges. They charged a 22M a $5 charge but did not charge any other male a cover charge. We were under the impression that only those under 21 years would pay a cover charge not random people who are over 21.

Yuck. No wonder anyone older than 25 does not want to go to Northgate. I can understand wanting people who are clearly way too drunk to function, have the bouncers ask them to leave, but isn't that the whole point? To let people drink and let loose? Saw a couple get kicked out for falling down and dancing tonight, on Halloween. Get over yourselves. I Wouldn't have killed such a fun vibe, if BCS was a normal city, their drunkeness would've been okay, I guess we'll just ignore anyone who isn't 21-24. Happy Halloween, killjoys. Please, continue to ruin anything fun you see, I hope it kills your business and you leave this area, forever.

The ambiance is nice.have been coming here from time to time but AVOID the hotdog stand they run in here at all costs.my friends and i tried this on their opening weekend and we ALL got bad food poisoning, even on different days.

Terrible bartender. Stood at the bar waiting to be served but she kept serving her friends and coworkers instead. Ended up just going home.

Awesome experience passing thru! Drink responsibly or the staff will make sure of nice exit with their responsibility at hand. Staff is nice and seems as if they serve you more than a king lol, soon as you finish a drink you basically just hand the glass out blindly and they respond with the speed of lightning! Make sure you stop at the food trucks and balance your drinking and fun, and again drink responsibly!

Bouncers literally stole my money at entry, kicked me out within 15 minutes with no given reason and still made me repay to join my friends inside.

One of the better bars on NG. Outdoor area is cozy and has a more relaxed vibe, but as you transition inside and upstairs things get louder and more rowdy. Good place for a diverse group. Prices are competitive
