This place is a hidden gem, great mix of neighbors in a very quiet neighborhood. The entire staff are extremely personable and the kind of people you'd want to invite over for dinner. The maintenance team knock work out lightning fast and are very professional. Overall tight nit group that make this place home. The apartment themselves are comfortable and freshly updated. I love the trees which offer shade and that neighborhood feeling. Come down and see for yourself, I doubt you'd be disappointed. Ashley and Pie are to good to be true, professional and big hearted, they were the truly what sold me overall.

4years later. Man this place isn't what it used to be. The property itself is what you'd expect from a 40 year old complex. What you don't expect is management that over promises and under delivers.

My grandma said if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything so I'll leave you review readers with this. The only consistently awesome gem in this complex is Chelsea. God forbid she ever leave this place. She always going above and beyond and has the most infectious positive attitude. Small things go a long way. "You can't make everyone happy all the time they say". False, Chelsea definitely does and I speak for all the Baxter residents when I say thank God for her dedication to doing for other families what she would want done for her.

Juan- Miguel was so helpful and efficient and I absolutely love the staff. Keep up the good work yall!

Do not move here for any reason. Major violations left and right and I couldn't shower for 2 months.

Exciting community and safe. The place is clean and organized. Staff is very good and accommodating, ready to lend a hand including maintenance

The Baxter at Westwood is a quiet place to live even though you’re in the city. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. They’re extremely knowledgeable and supportive.

Hate this place. Overpriced for the amount of space and front office is disrespectful and/or unresponsive. After getting kicked out without prior notice of a Writ of Possession, (a whole other story), I was contacted about my mother’s ASHES and told that they needed to be picked up by the following day or they would be DISPOSED OF. Who throws out a loved one’s ashes? ! Absolutely disgusting behavior. Maintenance never fixed any of the issues and the apartments were absolute trash. If I could give negative stars I would.

Absolutely adored this place, had all the qualities I was looking for. Management was very professional and helpful.

They are never even at the office to rent you an apartment I’ve tried three times now in 2 hours. I’ll look elsewhere

Lived here 3 years. Keeps getting worse. Everything is always breaking. The apartment was built in the early 80s and hasn’t been updated in a long time. Water is always going out. No heat. No ac. Leaking pipes. Staff is horrible. Maint takes weeks to respond. Just plain ridiculous. Don’t make the mistake

Units are quiet! Coming from a complex where I heard every damn foot step and roll of the dice above me, I am loving it here! Haven’t heard a single sound yet from my 3 neighbors. The units are well insulated too so my AC isn’t turning on and off all day. The maintenance men are always out and about doing work and keeping the place up.

Property is really cute, in a great neighborhood, filled with good schools, churches, parks and shopping centers.

Lots of neighborhood events between the churches and schools that surround us. Children playing at the pool too so great property for parents. It seems a lot of the residents have lived here a really long time and take pride in their curbside appeal.

Install a hot tub and I’ll make it 5 stars lmao!

I have lived here for many years and the management gets worse every time ownership changes hands. The most recent example: I called the office and put in a maintenance request at 1pm on a Saturday because my AC was out. I came home that night at 11: 30 pm to discover nothing had been done about my air conditioning. I called the after hours number and an operator said she would put in a ticket. Forty minutes later I called back because I had not heard anything. The operator informed me that maintenance told her it was not hot enough for them to come out and work on it that late at night and they would get to it in the morning. When I asked how I was supposed to know this she said it was up to maintenance to let me know.

Update: I called to see when the maintenance person would be here this morning and they could not get ahold of her. The operator said they would keep trying, I called back two hours later and the operator was told by maintenance that it was not an emergency. She was told that it would either be later this afternoon or tomorrow that they would be working on it. Since it is a Sunday maintenance does NOT have access to keys, so if I want it to get worked on today in the unlikely event that they will come today, I have to sit around and wait for her to decide to show up. This is an absolute garbage process with no regard for residents or their pets and property in the unit.

I applied to rent here paid 50 application fee and 200 to get apartment off the market and now they denied me for having a felony and will not give me my 200 back even though I paid 200 to get apartment off the market at first they said I will get refund in 1 week to 30 days and now say I wont get one also they run criminal history back 99 years which is crazy most apartments run back 7 years like some people can't make mistakes dont apply to these apartments they just want to roach up on some free money pathetic!

Lived here for about three years they used to be great with fixing any maintance issues but had to wait two weeks just to wash my clothes. My whole lease there I went through about three washers and none of the cabinets or doors are aligned correctly. Loved the area but to expensive for how terrible the apartments are built with cheap appliances

I love our townhome! Townhouse! Beautiful landscaping and wonderful neighborhood with lots of great parks and public pools. It's a clean safe neighborhood.

1 of the worst places to live in Austin they don’t care about their tenants, charge to much for rent, they don’t stand behind the companies they recommend you go through to pay rent, no rental assistance, they have terrible customer service, maintenance, it’s takes awhile for them to come fix things, my wife and I had caught COVID-19 earlier this year, they made us go out against doctors orders, disobey Local, State, and Federal Mandates and they also provided no assistance during the winter storm of 2021. Gain/learn better Customer Service, People Skills, have more of an open heart, better understanding of your Tenants life situations as it relates to them being able to pay rent or not on time, be human instead of acting like Robots and just care about people, instead of worrying about money. Update I just got done reading to many bad reviews about this Complex, interesting that a lot of them have the same complaints as both my wife and I do. Our Lease is up for renewal or was and they decided to offer us 1, when asked why? They refused to provide us with a reason or cause and when asked what are we suppose to do? Answer “oh well y’all can always find another place to live. ”

UPDATE CALLED THE OFFICE YESTERDAY TO SEE IF THEY WOULD REVISIT THE ISSUE OF RENEWING OUR LEASE, WHICH WAS ANOTHER FLAT OUT NO, STILL WOULDN’T GIVE US A REASON AS TO WHY, WHICH GOES AGAINST THE AUSTIN TENANTS COUNCIL, FOR ALL THERE TALK ABOUT CONTACTING THE OFFICE TO DISCUSS IT AND I GUESS THAT WENT OUT THE WINDOW OR WHATEVER.
