The Beauty Point Academy, San Antonio TX

I would like to share my experience as a former student at The Beauty Point Academy because I believe this school does not get enough credit and it is an exceptional academy.

I would like to say I was referred to the school by a friend of mine that attended a few years ago so I decided to stop by and take the tour. First thing I noticed was the huge esthetician room which definitely peaked my interest! Forgot to mention, when I was 21 I was already in a big name cosmetology school here in San Antonio but their esthetician room was practically the size of a walk-in closet. Right away, I thought that by them having a bigger work space to learn esthetics meant that they actually do focus on this department just as much as cosmetology.

Once enrolled as an Esthetician student, I really liked the structure of the program and my instructor, Mrs. King, was easy to communicate with and always accessible. At times, when I needed additional guidance I would let her know and she’d either do a side by side and walk me through it and or hold a demo going over it. Many times, other students would be advised there would be a demo and could attend in case they were feeling the same way. They also had many clients going in for services so I never lacked hands on practice to implement the things I was learning along the way.

Like anything else, you get what you put into it and you have to apply yourself. And like anything else, if you have a question…. Ask. No one will know you don’t know something unless you speak up. That said, I cannot say that any time I had a question or concern that it was not addressed. All of the instructors kept an open line of communication and an open door policy.

All in all, I had a great experience at this school. I graduated in November 2021 and passed both exams with flying colors. I am now a licensed Esthetician and I am forever grateful to have been referred there.

I went to the Beauty Point Academy, and I was skeptical as is normal because it’s a hair school. I asked for a balayage from my dark brown hair to a light blonde at the end. After the styling was done, it was extremely light and the cut was short but so beautiful and layered. I left feeling unsure because my hair hadn’t been short in years and has never been light, so I’m sure they thought I was unhappy. After getting into my car and looking at it more in depth, I absolutely fell in love. It was a transformation that I didn’t know I needed and I haven’t felt this beautiful in years. How they got my hair from a dark brown to an almost icy blonde in only one session is beyond me. I am SO SO happy and I will never go anywhere else. Thank you, Beauty Point! You have changed my self esteem whole heartedly from just 3 hours of service. ️

Went in to get my son a perm and ended by getting myself a trim then some toner put in followed by a treatment. The student made sure I was comfortable made sure I was okay with everything she was doing to my hair. Very truthful and educational on what was best for my hair type. (Blonde) the special I got came with a style so I went with loose curls and she did an amazing job.
Lastly I got eyelash extensions (volume) WOW! I am extremely happy with them. She did a magnificent job!
I will definitely be returning.they have so much to offer. They are students so be patient with them also give them your feedback they want it. Thank you for your services ladies!

I've been to this place a few times and Absolutely love it. They treat me like a Queen.

I came in for highlights nervous cause I had red died hair already wasn’t sure if it was going look ok.they were so nice and advised me on what would look best. I loved the results def will be coming back!

Wonderful school and great prices. Not to mention the helpful staff and safe clean environment.
