The Berni Bean Coffee Company reviews
18Very good coffee but the service is to slow take to much time to prepare the order plus need more employees
First time here, and I loved it!
I ordered the cinnamon french toast latte with oat milk. It was very good! They had other dairy-free milk options available, which makes me happy because I'm allergic to milk.
I also grabbed a beautiful homemade poptart which also happened to be vegan (dairy-free). Like what? ! Vegan poptarts make me happy.
The drinks and decor were so cute, I'm super excited to come back the next time I visit Dallas. Highly recommend if you're in the Downtown Dallas area!
I fell in love with this cute cafe the first time i popped in. The service was so good and the food was excellent. Well worth the visit.
Bernie Bean Coffee Shop is a hidden gem that offers the best coffee experience. Stepping inside, you're immediately greeted by the comforting aroma of freshly brewed Costa Rican coffee, setting the stage for an extraordinary culinary journey.
Each cup is a testament to their dedication to quality and their passion for delivering the perfect brew.
But it's not just about the coffee here; Bernie Bean elevates the entire experience by serving savory empanadas, plantain-based dishes, every bite carries the authenticity and vibrancy of Costa Rican cuisine.
What truly sets Bernie Bean apart is its commitment to excellence. The warm ambiance and friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere where every customer feels like a valued guest. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or a food enthusiast, Bernie Bean Coffee Shop is a must-visit destination in Dallas that promises an unforgettable experience steeped in Costa Rican charm and exceptional flavors.
The interior is ok but they are understaffed. No one say hello, thank you. The leftover of previous customers were put on the side where you can see them. We waited 30 min for the matcha and avocado toast. For a breakfast? And the food is not as good either. My avocado toast looks like they just make the ingredients and throw everything in the box. We paid $40 for everything. Not a good experience overall. I hates it. I hope they do better.
Best specialty coffee in Dallas - unlike other shops that claim to have specialty coffee, Berni Bean REALLY serves that! Coffee options are creative and fun to try. Food is amazing too. The atmosphere feels authentic and super cozy. Staff is also great, always willing to help out! This is my go-to coffee shop in Dallas, so happy they now have two locations to choose from!
This is one of my favorite local coffee shops! They make everything in house, the staff is super friendly! The times I have gone they have been packed which makes sense because their drinks/food is delicious! Do expect the wait times to be a bit long but for a reason! Definitely makes sense to wait 15min for food/drink when there’s a line out the door overall 10/10 love this place! Definitely recommend giving it a try
The environment is so inviting. A whole new experience with coffee especialty from CR. Totally recommended!
I thought it was excellent. The delicious food. Exceptional coffee. The girls attentive and ready to serve
Sorry but this place is terrible. The only good thing was the friendliness of the staff and the slightly pleasant ambience.
I really wanted to like it and thought the reviews were great, but it did not live up to expectations at all. The cashier barely had any idea what she was doing and didn’t seem to either understand English well or listen. We asked for an item that was clearly on display but she said they didn’t have it in stock in their system so I had to point it out. The coffee was way too sweet like candy. They also got our order wrong after we wait roughly 20 min in line then 15 min for our coffee. The place also smelled a bit like food but in a bad way.
Will not be returning and would recommend avoiding this place for now.
Everything I got was just ok. The coffee was ok and the one I personally liked the most was the hug latte (seasonal). Nothing special and nothing was good to me personally. We got a couple of pastries and avocado toast but nothing seemed to be good to us. Wanted to sit under the berni sign but the table was dirty and no one cleaned it. Eneded up cleaning it ourselves so we could sit there. Not sure where you park as I got lucky and found street parking right across the street.
I was recommended this place by a friend and I’m glad they did because the atmosphere is amazing and the drinks are delicious. Bella was so sweet and helpful. She deserves a raise! Great customer service.
The restaurant offers tasty food and nice decorations. However, it is not suitable for work due to the loud, distracting music, inconvenient rounded tables, and the lack of outlets at every seating area.
Yes, stop in here. Costa Rican coffee and food done right. The rainforest toast is much better than the mouth watering menu description. The pour over was perfect.
Found this coffee shop on Instagram & was disappointed by the Wi-Fi not working. I came for a work date with a friend and we couldn’t even work. The parking is also horrible. The matcha was okay and the customer service was great.
This place is super cute! Love places that have seasonal menus that different them from regular coffee shops. Nice place to chill as well. Friendly staff as well
Beautiful Cafe and baristas are super polite. Plus the lattes flavors taste so good and actually like advertised! (Get the French toast latte!).
Was looking for specialty coffee in Dallas. Have to say I had the best pour over V60 in whole Texas. If you like bombastic fruity flavour filter coffee then you can't miss with the Berni Bean. I myself have Las Lajas Costa Rican coffee beans at home, which confirms that one of the best flavors come from this part of the world. For me the place was a bit too cold. Girlfriend ordered chai latte which was served cold with ice FYI (which she isn't used). But I won't take this into consideration for rating as I was here poor for the coffee experience. Thanks!
