The Blue Fish reviews
14Went here for Happy Hour and the service was great. The food selection and drink special is amazing. A good atmosphere to have a decent conversation without yelling at each other. Would highly recommend stopping by after a long day.
Absolutely delicious! After 14 years of living in Texas, I’ve finally found a sushi bar that’s worth my time and money! The spicy tuna rolls and the yellowtail rolls were made perfect in my opinion. Honestly, delicious and I will definitely recommend and plan on eating there again.
Sushi was very good! Kids bento was a great value. I got the 4-1/2 roll sampler and every roll was delicious. Didn’t take pictures but the presentation was delightful.
So far, I always really enjoy dining at The Blue Fish. The fish always tastes fresh and the service is nice even if there's usually a wait due to the crowds. I think the worst thing I ever had here was a margarita once.
Very good place for larger tables and small groups. Staff was very friendly and attentive, and got everything I asked for quickly.
I have given 4 stars because the fish was not amazing. I suppose it might be fine by Texas standards but I would not call it top shelf fish. It was eatable but was I blown away? No. The Tuna had zero taste and Salmon was just ok. Is it possible I am spoiled living in Vancouver, yes.
My other sore spot was my goodness it was expensive for the quality. I payed $90 for what I considered Groceries store sushi. That’s just me…
This is not my first time, will I go back? If the company is paying I might have some other dishes and skip the sushi.
We always order to match. Everything looks so good and it tastes delicious. Great service as well.
Worse sushi experience ever. I’m a sashimi lover and went to all different Japanese restaurants.
Choose this place for my 3 anniversary. Ordered large sashimi combo, NOT worth it.
I asked do you have Albacore in the plate, they said yes, the Albacore is the worst albacore ever.
Fish are not fresh and way too fishy, such I rice taste wired too!
Refer to picture $75.
Kind of a slow start waiting for service. However from then on it was a good experience. First time eating here since they moved off MacArthur. Still really fresh great tasting sushi.
I have no idea how this place gets north of 2. Easily the worst sushi I've ever had. Pasty and gummy - essentially using the taco bell method of "let's see how many things we can make with these 4 ingredients. " Service was laughable. There in time for happy hour. Wasn't asked where we'd like to be seated. Handed a happy hour menu, then told we weren't seated in a spot that could order off the happy hour menu. $70 for a drink and 3 rolls I wouldn't feed to a cat (I don't like cats).
Food was extremely fresh. I went a couple of times during my business trip and the service was exceptional. Manager really took pride in her staff and it shows. Thank you!
Me and my friends come here a lot but what we truly enjoy is the great service! Both Anthony and Abel are always so attentive and kind. They really make the experience unique. I highly recommend coming here and asking for them!
This place has a great happy hour! Stephanie the bartender took wonderful care of us. She works with incredible efficiency behind the bar, while also never making any guest feel rushed.
I love the 121 roll, and get it every time. The combination of crunchy and soft textures, with both cold and hot elements is perfect! We enjoyed various plates from the happy hour, as well as martinis. The lychee martini is one of my favorites!
: Takoyaki, Veggie Croquettes, Apple Martini and 121 roll
Man have I had 10 days of nothing but great food from Atlanta to California to Texas and back to California. But the blue fish was amazing. The sushi was delicious. The drinks were on point in the desert out of this world. I highly recommend this location.also I did not really interact with the hosts or waiter as we’re just taking advantage of a quick dinner before the start of the tradeshow!
