The Blue Fish Allen reviews
17Great place for an enjoyable family dinner. Really cool during a concert in the park as well. Staff is always friendly! Clean, pleasant and never disappoints. Service is prompt.
This is one expensive restaurant for the menu offered. Although the sushi is good, the cost is makes it hard to swallow.
I found the menu to be limited and overpriced, as well, beside the broken drinks hardware - see photos - the bar did not offer anything that can be called reasonable selection of beer.
First time here. Tried the Rainforest Roll and Miami Vice Roll. Both were excellent! The bites are big, so one fancy roll is a sizeable meal.
First visit on a nice weather day so we opted for patio seating.
Garreth was our server, he was cordial and efficient. We didn't know they closed from 2 to 4: 30pm and didn't check out until way passed two o'clock yet Garreth was very patient with us. Glad their business hours are updated on Google now.
We ordered:
Strawberry Smash - it's the !!
Shark Bait -
Sushi Sashimi Combo Bento -
Miso Glazed Salmon Bento -
Side Fried Rice -
When a side fried rice was well made, you knew they cared about quality.
Highly recommend.
Really good food with excellent service from Garreth. Based on the wide spectrum of reviews, it seems like a hit-or-miss type of place. They clearly had their A game during my visit, thankfully!
I have heard great things about Bluefish Allen, but it was a very sour experience. The customer service was about the same as McDonalds, very slow, not interested in customer service, and easily annoyed. After spending $85 I expected the quality to be better. I ordered salmon sashimi that was chewy and not very good. I ordered other rolls that also didn’t meet my expectations. This place has potential and maybe was a great restaurant at one point, but I will not be returning.
Great bento boxes! Me and my dad went and had a blast. Food was high quality and the server was nice! Took a while to get the check and my extra orange, but other than that she was very attentive. Host stuck everyone in the same central area instead of spreading us all out to have privacy. That's okay, we talk anyway lol, sorry to the guests next to us having to hear about our holiday drama
What a great find! The food was outstanding! I highly recommend the Lobster Bites, w/ Fried Rice.so sumptuous, and may I say, beautiful presentation! The Fried Calamari and the Miso Salmon w/ Mushroom Rice were delicious and beautifully prepared. Our waiter Ryan was friendly and very helpful when it came to navigating the menu and its many options. Drinks were kept refilled, plates removed in a timely manner. Everything was simply divine! We will definitely be returning again soon.
The worst food. Very disappointed in the quality of food at the prices they charge. There so many other GREAT Japanese restaurants in DFW. I do not recommend.
They have the best and precious sushi I have had in a long time it was a great dining experience from the time we walked into the door to the time we got seated all the staff was friendly and competent our orders came out directly the food was wonderful I highly recommend this place
Location here always has friendly staff that are very welcoming. Frequent customers/ regulars will love how the staff will come to recognize you and how best to make each experience great. Food here is also always of top quality in line with Blue Fish standards.
Love coming to this location often.
Nice environment and service is slow. Food is OK but nothing really special, definitely not worth the price. You can find similar rolls at cheaper places.
Great food, but terrible customer service. Went there on a whelm and was originally enjoying the place until the waitress never returned to the table to check or remember to bring out the rest of my food. So I ended up watching my fiancee eat until she was about done before she remembered I still had food.
My son and I came here on Saturday 8/27 around noon, place was slow and empty. The sushi is always good but for some reason the service was terrible. Our server wasn’t attentive AT ALL, I had to ask another server to go get her and the server I asked had a nasty attitude. I likely won’t return here because I do not like having to flag down my server when I need a refill on a drink that’s been empty for nearly 10 minutes.
I'm going to have to eat through their entire menu. We'll also have to go earlier I'm the evening so we can have time to order more rolls before last call.
Blue Fish has been a long time staple of mine. For along time my husband and I enjoyed the bar area of the one off of Frankford and the Tollway for the longest. Today, my daughter and I tried this location for lunch while doing some shopping. Same great service. Same quality sushi. I had an Asian Pear Margarita that was really refreshing in this heat. I’m a big fan of Yellowtail, so I had a Samurai roll - very good- and she had a Rainbow roll. Blue Fish is consistent. If I had one complaint it would be that they might be a tad overpriced. I forgot to take photos.
Great restaurant probably one of the best sushi places in the area, the quality of fish is an A.
Keep in mind not all locations are the same this one is amazing
