The Blue Lagoons, Rowlett TX

Had an excellent pool build experience with Blue Lagoons Pools and Spa. Quality of their work is outstanding and the pool and spa came out excellent y! The total build took a little longer than planned but that was because Mother Nature decided to keep raining at the start, but they did a nice job trying to catch up! Very happy with the end result!

From the very beginning Blue Lagoon was easy to work with, great communication skills all around. They kept us up to date about what was going to happen next, no surprises. Very caring which was helpful in the planning and decision making phase as well as throughout the entire building process. We are super happy with our beautiful pool

The best part of building our house was dealing with Blue Lagoon Pools. They did what they said they would do, showed up when they said they would and there were no surprises. We love our pool. Can not say enough good things about Blue Lagoon and we HIGHLY recommend using them. Thank you LeeAnn and the rest of the team for all of your help.

When considering building a pool, we were recommended The Blue Lagoons by some friends and we're glad we listened. Starting with the design phase through completion, the staff of The Blue Lagoons was always professional and responsive to our wants and needs. Victor helped us design exactly what we were looking for in a pool and spa, and the rest of the team executed executed flawlessly. From the time we were under contract through completion, we received frequent updates via a group text to track progress of the pool and plan out necessary next steps. Austin and Salvador were out frequently to check on the progress and make sure the pool was being built and finished to our specifications. They were knowledgeable and did a good job of describing the "why and how" of certain building and operating processes, as we're first time pool owners. We're happy we went with The Blue Lagoons.

I’ve debated writing this…but after talking with other pool professionals I feel it necessary.
Late May of this year I reached out to this company for a one time clean, followed by weekly cleans. I chose them because in the near future we will need to do a full renovation of the pool. Our pool was in rough shape, and they were well aware of that. This was our first Summer ever with a pool.

They gave me the quote for the one time clean, I approved and they started work. They said we needed some replacement parts. I approved. A few of weeks go by and they had serviced it a few times but the pool was still very murky and NOT swimmable. At this point no one had been to service the pool in over a week. So, I called the office to check in and see if the “one time clean” was complete and if we were on a rotation for weekly cleans. They said they were working on getting us on a weekly schedule and to send pictures of the pool.

It took a few more visits before the pool was clear, but once it was you could clearly see algae on the sides of the pool. I let them do their thing, but mentioned it to the employee doing our services.

A couple more weeks go by and the algae is getting worse despite their weekly services.
June 26th they email me with the subject “SANITATION ISSUES” in all caps. They said that our dog swimming in the pool is resulting in them using “more than twice the chemicals” in our pool. We have one dog that swims maybe 1-3 times a week.

I emailed back and said that we will limit or eliminate the dog in the pool and to please advise on what we can do to treat the pool so that they won’t have to use as many chemicals.

I mention the growing algae in the pool and send pictures. Stating that this was an issue that has increased and doesn’t seem to be taken care of. I assumed that this was INCLUDED in the one time clean since our pool had NEVER been back to 100% clean after we paid for this service. I get NO RESPONSE after voicing my concern.

At this point, I talk to the maintenance employee again about the algae. He assures me that it should clear up “within a week or so”.

I stay patient. In the meantime I notice our Polaris isn’t running. At all. I turn it on and off myself to keep the pool clean. Maybe he just forgot to set it.

3 weeks go by, Algae has completely taken over our pool. Our Polaris isn’t running. I text our maintenance man about the Polaris. He says he will look at it on the next visit. He comes and goes. Polaris was never touched or tested.

I email again July 14th about the algae and the Polaris. They say it will be an additional $825 for the algae removal and that the Polaris was “running when he left”.

I had video evidence that the maintenance worker did not touch the Polaris and it was NOT running when he left. So I sent it to them. At this point I cancelled all services with them.

I NEVER got a response back from the company after cancelling services. But they sure made sure to bill me!

To top it off, our pool pump was leaking and burned up the motor because of the settings they had it set to. No mention of this problem to us! So now we have to purchase a new pump because of their negligence.

It still baffles me that they mentioned our dog swimming but not the COPIOUS amounts of algae in the pool or leaking pump. I’ll also note the pictures of our pool that they took were conveniently taken into the sun or at portions of the pool that didn’t have algae. I’ve attached pictures of what our pool really looked like when I decided to cancel services.

It appears people are pleased with their pool installation. But please know that they do not have the knowledge to service an existing pool.

We’re back to where we started and out a couple thousand thanks to this company.

There is SO much more, but if you have read this far I think you get the gist. I’d LOVE for someone from this company to respond seeing as their customer service solution is to just NOT respond.

I feel like they went the cheap way out with our “one time clean” and were banking on Algaecide and a prayer.

Our pool dreams were brought to life by Katie on the design team. She took every idea we had and perfected it. From there the great team at Blue Lagoons took the vision that Katie helped us form and built our dream backyard. So happy to have worked with them and to have such a relaxing environment just a few feet away.

Blue Lagoons was great! From the beginning to the end. Katie did a great job designing our pool and was flexible making last minute adjustments. Their communication throughout the whole process was top notch!

Jason, LeeAnn and their team at Blue Lagoon were constant professionals, finished ahead of schedule, and more importantly, on budget! Ours was a pool remodel and from water drain to water refill, the process lasted 3.5 weeks. Their team was available for any questions we had from design to upkeep. We are thankful to Blue Lagoon and their crews for our beautiful new pool and for making the tradition so easy.

Highly recommend The Blue Lagoons. From the design process to the finished product they we're on it. I was impressed by the communication process and the professional manner in which they did what they said they were going to do on any given day.

Blue Lagoons just completed my new pool as part of a new home build. Will did a fantastic job on the pool design! The team was professional, efficient, responsive and communicative and on time and on budget! When they finished and my work obligations prevented me from being able to meet them during normal business hours to complete “pool school”, they made me step by step videos with instructions! I highly recommend them! I will continue to use them for my pool maintenance.

From a sales perspective Victor was professional, informative, and did not over promise anything. He told us from the beginning that the process would take 3 months and we were swimming at 3 months and 3days.

All in all simply a great experience and I highly recommend this company.

We bought a spec home and Blue Lagoon Pools had already been chosen by the builder to put the pool in. Even though we didn’t choose them ourselves, they were still fantastic to work with. LeeAnn helped us select final tile and stone colors and was open to some minor hard scape changes to tie in to our landscape plans. The finished product looks fantastic and integrates perfectly with our landscaping. We were so impressed with them we now use them for weekly cleaning and maintenance. I would highly recommend Blue Lagoon Pools.
