The Book Shoppe and Coffee reviews
17I loved the warm and cozy atmosphere of this place! It was a cold (37°) and rainy day when I ventured into this coffee shoppe. The cinnamon scone and café latte, with heavy cream, was delicious and perfect for me warming up. The huge fireplace was a nice surprise and added to the relaxed ambiance of the coffee shop. I’m looking forward to going back and hopefully exploring the book shoppe area as I didn’t get to do on this visit.
Love this place! It's very cozy and peaceful, to sit and read, study or as my friend and I did sit and chat about the LORD. The coffee was delicious (garden of eden latte). The barista was very friendly and helpful and always a plus for me the bathroom was clean! Only thing negative is they're a little pricey but not a deal breaker because I will be back.
Loved this place. Sadly I live in Southern California so I won’t be a frequent sipper. Loved the atmosphere and great selection of books. I’ll be back on my visits to Frisco and I told our local friends to check you out.
10/10. This is the perfect place for coffee and reading. I enjoyed the welcoming baristas and the aesthetic atmosphere. No complaints!
First off this is NOT a bookstore. They strictly sell bibles and christian books, a little disappointing if you’re coming here for the book shop. And there is a ministry thing connected to this building so often the crowd here are all reading bibles / talking about Jesus and such. But as someone who is not Christian by any means, I still feel safe and welcome here. The staff is very very friendly, the coffee and food is not amazing but consistently good/fairly priced. It’s a warm cozy place to meet a friend. But again, just wish the name was a little more honest. “Christian coffee shoppe” perhaps?
The Book Shoppe and Coffee exceeded expectations! Despite its cozy setting, it's surprisingly quiet. The staff is incredibly friendly, adding to the inviting atmosphere. Recently had a client consult here, and it was perfect—professional yet comfortable. A gem for book lovers and business meetings alike!
Outstanding selection of biblical resources. Bibles, commentaries and Christian counseling and growth books. I went for kids Bible. They have a significant collection for kids. Wonderful atmosphere
Delicious Lavender Latte w/oat milk and my daughter loved the Hot Chocolate as well! Diverse decor that is suitable for toddlers and preschoolers. Staff member Sandy was friendly and welcoming. Ample seating.
Only religious books available. Should make this clear so we don’t waste our time coming there when we’re not interested. But I think it’s common practice among religious people to think they can deceive us into something we’re not interested. Do better and don’t waste people’s time.
This spot is exactly what our area was missing. It offers fantastic drinks, a peaceful and welcoming environment, and courteous staff. An ideal location for studying or working on projects.
We have come here on a number of occasions. Whether you are browsing for a gift for others, or yourself, grabbing coffee with a friend, or need a convenient meeting place, this is the spot! Although it is not a huge bookstore there is plenty to peruse. They also have puzzles for young and old, games, various Christian gifts, pretty much something for everyone. The setting feels far older and comfortable than the actual age of the building, cozy, but with a modern vibe. It's probably better they don't have overstuffed chairs or folks would never leave! The employees are helpful on the book end of things, and the folks on the food and drink end will explain anything you need to know about their offerings. At one point they had a lavender lemonade with cream, which sounded odd, but in reality was delicious. During our last visit I tried the Gingerbread Latte and it was just right. If you have never stopped in, give it a try, and it may become your new favorite spot.
Visited today and ordered a 12 oz cold brew coffee.
Extremely disappointed when I saw that my cup was completely filled with big ice cubes, then filled with the cold brew coffee. I’m barely getting any coffee if the ice cubes fill all the space of the 12oz cup, and the cold brew is already refrigerated…
Felt like a waste of my money for a cup of coffee.
Very cute place, but always a little too noisy. The bathrooms are relatively clean, but I can tell they’re not well attended. I always have to get an extra roll of toilet paper because they’ve run out and the trash bins are overflowing with paper towels and other trash. While the employees are very nice and friendly, they should attend to the bathrooms more frequently. That is part of the job and key to making the trip to the cafe a good experience.
Warm atmosphere and wonderfully designed Christian bookstore with a cafe. This is the perfect combination. The prices could be lower but I am happy to support a place like this over a cheaper one without such a mission.
This is an evangelical Christian bookstore attached to a ministry outlet building. Only a few rows of Christian books in the coffee shop; no secular books.
Nice, chill Christian book shop. Cozy. Kiddos found a chessboard on the community table and played a couple games. They also enjoyed their time here.
I have been a consistent customer of the shop for 2 years. I have referred family and friends here. Today I arrived at the shop waiting in my car for my appointment and a man proceeded to rudely let me know I cannot park in a spot I have always parked at. There was No reserved sign at this spot. If there was any changes in policy then it should be politely communicated not rudely.
