The Bricks on 13th, Temple TX

This place is horrible! We have contacted the office about drug use and the smoke getting in our 9 yr olds face. Nothing was done! My husband left a review of one star here. Then was contacted by office staff asking for more stars! They have done nothing about the marijuana smoke getting in our child’s face and eyes. They condone this behavior here! Again we came home again with our child and breezeway was smokey with marijuana again! Do not waste your money in such a place that is unsafe for children! Also covered in dog feces! I have read the reviews that are low stars. Find it real interesting the owner replies with we can find you as a resident or guest! Real convenient! We have hired a lawyer and have all our records showing we lived here! As a mother I will not let this go for my daughter being put through the marijuana smell and smoke! Also for other families that are thinking about moving here with children! It is an unsafe place for kids and decent people! No need to contact me asking me to change the star rating! If you need anything sure our lawyer will answer you! Feb 6 2024! The response you left to my review. It’s completely inaccurate. Either you where misinformed by your office employees or you are a dishonest person! My concerns where never addressed or have been addressed by you or anyone else! I find it very unprofessional and inappropriate that you would make false statements. My daughter myself and my husband have put up with the drug use going on and you doing nothing about it! I am a Air Force veteran! I don’t lie or misdirect people! The American military service in the Air Force branch taught truth and justice. Which you seem to know nothing about. You should be ashamed of yourself and your staff for letting this continue! We will do everything we can to make sure the Bricks on 13 th is known for what it is! A place where children aren’t safe and residents are treated with disrespect and contempt!

This apartment complex was well maintained under the original owners. The apartment changed owners twice to my knowledge in the span of 3 months after Jackie selling it and the service decreased every time it sold. My husband and I gave notice that we were buying a house, we paid the rest of our apartment off in the time they stated and their documents were a mess. No one inspected us out, the office rarely returned my phone calls for anything. The dog parks were always disgusting, they said they put cameras to check for people picking up their pet waste but never did anything. They sent "emails" which is great when your community cares about one another, but they don't here. The pool was closed randomly "for maintenance" in the summer months. The apartment units are outdated, paint is bubbly from water damage, plumbing fixtures are most likely original to the building. The shower tiles started to come off the walls at the end of our stay and the maintenance guy said "Yeah, they're probably not going to do anything about that". Overall the quality went from great, to bad to worse. Look elsewhere, they raised rent so high for new residents. You can find better deals at newer apartments with staff who will actually call and email you back and address concerns. If they comment with a phone number to call, I highly doubt anyone will answer the phone and return the phone call. This place is a joke.

Don’t live here. There are mice, bugs, faulty appliances, and crackheads that walk around, and it’s too expensive for what you’re getting — you’re paying to be behind the hospital basically. Maintenance takes forever to come unless they deem it an emergency, and staff will leave the front office and leave it unattended throughout the week so that you can’t get help. Laundry area always has unfixed broken washer and dryers, and the last week we lived there, the door was broke so we couldn’t get our clothes and no one was in the office to help. Additionally, My boyfriend and I moved out on time at the end of our lease, but a month and some change later they are trying to say we broke our lease agreement to get us to pay another month’s rent when we moved out a week early and handed in the keys 3 days early — meaning they failed to submit the paperwork that said we were no longer residents there.

Cici, Tameka, Raphael, and will.y'all are the best I appreciate everything that you work out with me to keep my place I give y'all a five star if not maybe more if I could but you are the best y'all been there for me since I moved in most appreciated.

Moved my Aunt there from new york, love it, cici helped us sending pics of apartments and emailing us information to make it a easy move in.the place is quiet and clean. We needed help with our ac and maintenance was quick to respond.she is going to love it here

The silkiest easiest transition into a new home I have ever made. Thank you guys for keeping it simple and personable. Grateful for the hospitality

Visiting causes Anxiety! Just Nasty… Dog Poop EVERYWHERE YOU TURN! So ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND MANAGEMENT IS AWARE! This place offers fenced dog park, and bag stations and the issue has not been addressed. The matter at hand has been a problem for Months! I hate to say but The Arbors held attentive staff for years. The new company has taken over and the apartments have become a disgrace!

When I called to inquire about an apartment I talked with Cici and she had me come for a tour. CiCI was very thorough in answering any of my questions. I was pleased with her friendliness which helped me since I am new to the Temple area. I am happy that CiCI is here when I need help with things.

Cici is amazing they way she handles things are very professional and welcoming. Absolutely love her! I love the fact that the first time I toured here they were working on a few things to help better their community in an efficient manner. I came back for a second tour and once again absolutely loved it they had everything I wanted within a great price, they also even got a lot of the things done that they had been previously working on. Cici is very responsive she is amazing at what she does and she will help you always! <3

I’ve been living here 2 months and I haven’t had Noo issues with my apartment or management! If I need anything management takes care of it right then and there! It’s a good place to stay, great neighborhood and it’s right behind my job at BS&W & Shout out to Ms. Cici who takes really good care of her residents! She will make sure everything is on pointtt

I have had nothing but trouble out of these apartments. There been a hole in my balcony floor that continues to grow since I moved in and now my ac is not working for the second time in a week and it happened on a Friday evening so I have to wait untill Monday for it to be fixed. They have gone through 3 different property management companies since I moved in about 6 months ago which is a huge red flag. Avoid these apartments at all cost!

The lady in the office was rude before I even got a chance to look at the actual apartment. Was very argumentative and on top of this the complex is no longer known as The Arbors of Temple now it's known as The Bricks. No email was sent regarding this change no letter was given. Also just payed 400$ due to not being told my car towed for not having a permit that I was just now made aware that I needed. Numerous crickets and bugs are in my apt nightly. Not a good complex if I didn't have to be here for work on a short notice I wouldn't.
