I am concerned about the relaxed protocols this clinic has in place. We have to take our child for wellness visits for vaccines and can't be assured that our child is in a safe, clean environment. They had previously posted on their website that children over the age of 2 are also required to wear masks. Not true and not enforced because there were older kids in the waiting room with no masks. Neither staff or the doctor washes their hands before touching my child. The doctor used hand sanitizer but very poorly. Even the CDC recommends hand washing with soap for 20 seconds. The nurse didn't even use hand sanitizer nor did she wipe down the tape measure she used on my child's head. On multiple occasions we have had to wipe down the table we lay our child on because we have seen hair, skin or dandruff on the parts not covered by the thin paper covering. We have also seen syringe covers on the floor. Now the clinic sees kids regardless of covid symptoms. How careless and thoughtless is this? We have a child under 1 who can't be protected by a mask and the staff could potentially infect our child from improper sanitation methods. They don't even wipe down pens after people sign in. During a pandemic, sanitizing everything should be a priority. Even in normal times sanitizing should be a priority so illnesses are not spread simply by visiting a doctor's office where staff with dirty hands and dirty equipment could potentially make your healthy child sick. I feel like they are risking lives.

I'm so disappointed. We've been going to this office for 7 years and have overall had good experiences. Now they want to lump every illness in with "covid". There are still other sicknesses, there are still other things that can go wrong with your child. I have to bring my child in suffering with chronic stomach issues along with the covid patients because vomiting is a sign of covid. I feel like everyone is losing their minds! Oh, but you can do a telehealth visit. Now we have to find a new pediatrician.

They just turned my sick child away because they cant verify my insurance on a Saturday. I HAVE insurance that would cover this visit and my child is a patient here! Well, was a patient there. Not anymore! How sorry can a place be

The customer service in the medical field in Lufkin is atrocious. The two times I have been to the Children’s Clinic the receptionist won’t even acknowledge you and the nurses and receptionists have no manners when it comes to your child. I am usually a tolerant person, and I have hardly even commented on anything. I have lived in many different states and even dealt with military medical environments as well; however, Lufkin has been the worst, when it comes to anything medical. This place, which deals with your children, needs to drop their entitled attitudes and start caring for the people they treat, or at the very least act like they do.

Most subpar medical experience of my life. The day of our first visit — mind you we moved from Houston area — they took the least thorough strep swab I've ever seen and declared it negative, even though we'd been exposed. My daughter had all the classic symptoms for strep and they didn't prescribe an antibiotic. The next day she was worse. I called and they denied amoxicillin. I called after hours when she developed a high fever and was crying with her ears. Still no. I believe any first year medical student understands that a fever that comes back, along with an illness that doesn't improve, screams infection. Like is this place a joke? We are floored. They think because they're the only game in town, anything goes. They've lost three patients this evening.

I love taking my child to The Children's Clinic. The nurses are awesome, you can tell they really love their job. My son's doctor is Dr. Fidone. My son Noah was diagnosed with asthma at a young age. Me and my husband have gone through some pretty scary stuff with Noah. Dr. Fidone was so patient with us. He adjusted his medicines until we found what worked for him. The best thing is they will work with you if you have chip, or medicaid. It has saved us a lot financially.

I am a first time mom and I can't tell you how many times I have taken my baby in over something so minor. Dr. Glass never makes me feel silly for panicking over every little thing. Here recently I picked up my baby from daycare with blood inside her ear! I rushed her to the doctor without an appointment. They were able to get me in last minute and never complained! Dr. Glass and his nurses are always so kind and supportive of new moms like me!

Dr. Glass is kind, compassionate and you can tell that he really cares about our kiddos! He takes the time to work us into his schedule when needed, but never rushes us. He is wonderful with my son (2) and daughter (8). He is also very patient with my neurotic questions. He takes the time to explore our concerns and helps our children feel comfortable during examinations. We are blessed to have his care and guidance, as we raise our family!

I highly recommend Dr. Fidone and partners of The Children's Clinic of Lufkin. Every staff member is ready help and care for your child. The care provide always goes above and beyond from the front desk to the nurse providing the shot right on to the Doctors. They are kind, helpful and have your family's well being as top priority.
I meet Dr. Fidone by chance and thank the Lord for it.
Also, the after hours helpline has kept my children from the ER on several occasions!
Thank you Dr Fidone and The Childrens Clinic!

The Children's Clinic is by far the most efficient and professional pediatric doctor's office in East Texas. The staff is always friendly and prompt. All physicians and employees treat our child with personal and professional care. At our last visit, our physician was able to give us up to date information from recent medical studies in a way that we could understand and apply at home. We love our Pediatricians!

We brought our daughter home from the NICU and in the very first visit Dr. Fidone picked up a quiet murmur in the baby’s heart. He was extremely worried that it was potentially something rare and serious. He walked us over to the emergency room and waited untill the Jet from Texas Children’s Hospital landed. Our baby had emergency surgery that night. Dr. Fidone saved his life. He is quite simply the smartest doctor I’ve ever known. SR

We have only had great experiences at the Children’s Clinic.

My three kids have been patients of Dr. George Fidone for the past five years. He is extremely knowledgeable and has done a great job at diagnosing and treating a variety of ailments and conditions. He always takes the time to answer questions and address concerns. In many instances, he has gone above and beyond to meet my children's medical needs.

On the rare occasion that Dr. Fidone is out of the office, my children have been seen by the other pediatricians at the clinic. They all have been knowledgeable, polite, and helpful.

The staff is courteous, caring, and efficient. The nurses have great bedside manner that help alleviate my children’s fear of shots.

As summarized by another reviewer, this is the place to bring your children for medical care in East Texas.

Hands down an amazing clinic. Our son was born premature at 24 weeks and spent 5 months in the NICU. Dr. Fidone understands his history and gives our son extraordinary care. This man breathes, eats, and sleeps pediatrics. Best Doctor!
