Love this church!

The stake president used to be the stake Young Men's president. He visited our congregation in Wills Point and happened to sit by me. I was trying to be helpful and pointing out the teenage Young Men I thought he would be interested in meeting. He already recognized and knew about each one I was pointing out! I was amazed!

Fast forward to today. As our current stake president, I believe he and his counselors lead by example and carry on that culture of love and service from the top, down.

Everyone I have met, whether it be at service activities, at special meetings, or in stake conference, etc.has been warm and welcoming.

Can't think of a better place to be!

This isn't a review of the entire Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, as a whole I believe that most members are decent people who strive to be Christ like.

With that being said, you'll find very little of that in the Whitehouse ward, or the Tyler Stake. I haven't met so many people who come on Sunday and pretend to be faithful members then go home and show their true selves. Members who only care about their status in the world and not the people around them. People who teach their children to judge and treat other children like they are worthless.

People who exclude based on income and social standing rather than live the gospel of Christ. I feel like I'm living in the 31st chapter of Alma with the Zoramites. If you are a current member and are looking to move here, pick a different ward, or perhaps pick a different area. I couldn't get out of this place fast enough.

Perhaps someone of importance will see this review and make changes to the leadership of this stake. Because the current leadership is treating like his own personal fraternity. Calling only those who fit the mold, giving special treatment to his friends and the "established" families.
