The Colony Uptown Apartments reviews
13Our Manager Marina Shows Her Experience In Management By Leadership, Listening, Communicating With All Her Residents. She Is Keeping Our Property Safe Including Regular Maintenance As Well Emergency Repairs. She Is Doing A Great Job So Far Made Some Real Progress. Thank You! Janet Longoria Apt. 917
I moved in going on a year and the difference I've seen ever since Randall took over management is outstanding and as time goes on it's getting better and better only if Mr Randall stays as manager also he is very helpful in all aspects. A very hard worjer and dedicated to his job and this review also pertains to the maintenance Mr Sergio. They bóth make a great team. I've noticed that this complex is only getting better all because of the involvement of the manager he is in tuned to what needs for the betterment of this community thank you To the management
I went for a tour and we were shown 2 apartments and both were absolutely disgusting! Roaches everywhere bubbles in the bottom of the walls due to water leakage and it smelt like mold.the pictures are a huge catfish! Don’t let the model fool you.the manager is great but this isn’t a place to live especially if you have kids.
This review is for the new manager in the office Randall. When we moved in there were LOTS of problems, and there was a different mgr. Then they hired Randall and the difference is astounding. I’ve seen this guy on ladders fixing things, replacing lights throughout the property, cleaning the pool himself and just like now- picking up the trash on a 104* hotter than hell day. This is what good property management looks like Thank you for your help keeping the property looking good!
Veronica and Sergio are doing an amazing job with the property. Upgrades to the pool and fitness center are great. Anything you need, they will take care of you.
The new property manager, Veronica is patient with a servants head who diligently does her best to assist everyone who walks in her door. If you're looking for an apartment complex that cares, shes has revamped this place to embody exactly that.
I am moving across the country and have been in contact with Mrs. Veronica. And let me say that she is AWESOME! She helped me with so much and was always there to answer questions. Kept me up to date with everything going on. Based off her professionalism alone I am satisfied.
The manager Linda is great. She made the application process super easy. I got approved with in a day. The moving process was a breeze. If anything needed to be repaired it was done in a timely manner. The apartment complex is quiet during the day and night. I would recommend this apartment complex as a place to stay.
The application process was extremely easy & the manager Linda was very helpful & attentive to what I was looking for. The price & overall appearance of my 2 bedroom 2 bath is absolutely amazing. I absolutely love my new apartment & will definitely be recommending to my friends & family. I’ve been here going on 2 months & not only is the office manager & maintenance on top of things, you can count on Linda to take care of her residents. What more could you ask for? Great location Great management Beautiful apartment. Animal friendly Definitely the best choice you’ll make when looking for a new home.
Professional friendly staff, quick to fix issues, made the moving transistion easier for me
We lived in apartments next door to Colony Uptown.and let me start off by saying that complex is GHETTO. At all hours of the night, people are arguing, fighting, yelling, and cursing. It feels so unsafe to even park our vehicle and walk in the parking lot. Some of ColonyUptown's residents are shady. Even during the day, some of those folks are being loud and causing a lot of ruckus.
Be careful moving your family and children into this place.
11/2020-Years later & different management.same rudeness. Was told apt was able to view. Took 45 minutes to make it to appt & when I got there Linda said it wasn't ready & she couldn't show it. I had expressly said on the phone which apts I wanted to see & was told one was not ready & it was bad she didn't even feel like going in there to start it but she could show me the other. Then I took off work early, arrived & was told no, I couldn't see it. She then looked at me in disbelief that I didn't want to see another one "because they are all the same". No they are not. Last month she showed me one & said that but was surprised when I pointed out no W/D connections after she told me they all had them. It was also dirty & had roaches. So I want to see actual apt I will be renting. New mngt doesn't seem to know community well & don't manage their website, where it says apts are ready to lease now but then say they won't be ready for maybe another month. Too many unanswered questions. Thanks for wasting our time. We will move on. 03/2016-Too many problems with management, especially the farther up you try to go. Priscilla, I believe the Regional Manager's name is. SMH. She is rude and uncaring of the simplest things they are bound to by contract. Office never answers the phone, never returns messages, & are often closed during business hours. Got a dirty apartment when I moved in. Couldn't even vacuum it. Items wrong at move in didn't get fixed, so, I finally disconnected the doorbell becuz it wouldn't stop buzzing. Had to put my moving blankets over the door anytime it was cold (huge gaps all around. They never installed weatherstripping). New heater was never hooked up, so no heat for more than 9 mos. It took mos of complaining to fix a/c. Chose not to battle for heat. Dryers vent directly into the apt, so the temperature rises 4 or 5 degrees everytime you use it (helps when it's 60 degrees in apt but made a/c run a lot when it was hot). Management entered my apt without permission (Priscilla signed the text message telling me she put a package in my apt) when I was not there and destroyed my personal property. Grounds never cleaned. Trash remains for weeks at a time. All bills are apparently split between residents, cuz no matter how much I tried to lower my utilities & water by regulating the a/c at a higher temp & not using my stove or dishwasher for months, it would still be $175. The neighborhood doesn't feel safe, but the gates and locked buildings help. Maintenance was friendly but not always helpful. The apt was a good size. Upgrades were not professionally installed, but appliances were new. Cabinets & hinges were thick with layers of paint. My tub/shower were painted but it not smooth finish. Walls are thin. Can hear neighbors conversations, as well as smell what they were cooking through my vents. Sometimes it was not good smelling food.:)
No insects for months, until a neighbor moved out. Then I battled them for a few months before leaving. The location is convenient to 410 and 281, but I think there are other highway friendly communities where you do not have to feel neglected & abused.
