Your sales associate at the Galleria Houston store has 0 business working in customer service. Upon asking for a manager's help she informed me we would not be bothering a manager with my issue. She gave me a huge attitude. Eventually I was helped by a sweet associate. Elizabeth gave me a snarled pursed lip face and needs to be trained.

Every move of us or one of the kids we install a closet in the new house. Love the Elfa product and it helps when the have 30% off sales. I absolutely am in love with this store! It’s so perfect for OCD, detail oriented, perfectionist, and organizers! The only bad thing about it is the prices! They are way over priced! Like 2-3times the price what I can get it for from Walmart or target.

Lots of good stuff here and the employees are super friendly.

I did purchase a shoe organizer the other day that came without hardware. They were able to supply it without issue.

I love the container store but this specific location is probably safer to go to when the sun is still out. There was a sketchy person inside the store near closing time and instructed us on which exit to use. He was not an employee and seemed to have no business there. He wasn’t shopping either. When we left through the exit he followed us out at the same time. It was a creepy experience.

Good service, good selection. But regular prices seem high for what you get, and it is in a very busy traffic area unless you go there during odd hours.

We purchased Elfa systems for several of our closets from this location. They are always very helpful in-store or on the phone. Special thanks to Andy for sorting out an issue with returns and gift cards.

Click and collect experience was terrible. Order was never available the day they said it was. Then ended up having to come back and wait 25 minutes just to get my order of 2 items

I went in looking for something to organize my nail polish at my salon with. I was greeted when I walked in the door and asked if I needed any help.there were two individuals that helped me I think the lady’s name was Barbra (she has grey hair) and she was awesome, although they did not have the specific shelf I was looking for she was able to let me know when it would be in.

I find myself spending a lot of time in The Container Store picking up items to help stage client's homes that are going on the market to be sold. This time, I allowed myself to purchase a few items to add to the One O. A. K. Real Estate office. This place NEVER disappoints. Their selection is phenomenal and the employees are very helpful. I look forward to staging client's homes because there's so many options and different combinations to choose from.

Another update: new team, new attitude, far better than it was. The prices have gone up up up, and the selection not as great as it used to be, but what is.

Post Covid addition:
Same woman with the frosted 1980s blond bob giving the same rude, careless, vapid instructions with a grudge.

You walk in the door marked “enter“ you proceed down aisles according to the arrows, I get it, it’s all signed out for you, but the minute you go to get in line at the cash register, she says there’s one line she directs you to another line. You get in that line only to get to the front of line to see that she’s now opened the second line. Not once, not twice, not three times, 4 times the same individual doing the same exact thing. If she hates her job so much she should leave it.

When I said to a male cashier “I was told to get in the other line because there was one line, he proceeded to tell me, no there are two lines “I wish we had signs“ was his answer. Was he frustrated, rushed and didn’t wanna deal with it, yes but he was at least realistic and semi-polite about it. Management: you have about 465 signs posted throughout the store with arrows and social distancing and enter and exit but you don’t have a sign for the cash registers?

It’s the same core 10 people working at this location that have been there for decades, some of them are obviously begrudgingly. Look, I get it, retail is hard, we’re in a pandemic, no they don’t sell kidneys at the container store, I could leave if I want to and no one’s going to die.

If you’re going to be a belligerent bossy hateful human being taking your sad life out on others, maybe it’s time to find a new job or just retire altogether. If you’re going to go to work in a retail environment where it is this busy, have a better attitude. Pick a direction, put up a sign and stick with it, don’t change your mind midstream and decide you don’t like something and change the rules on a whim.

Again, like me make this clear, this is not a one time incident that I could walk away from, this happens every time the same person is at the front registers. Inept, caustic and borderline evil. This is deliberate, even if she were suffering some personal tragedy that we were all unaware of, her attitude is just seamlessly produced to be belligerent.

Below is the pre-Covid review done more than two years ago, I think it speaks for itself that things haven’t changed. By the way, it’s the exact same person that I’m reviewing:

Long waits at the register day, night, weekends, no matter what. Employees not properly trained to call for backup, scheduling failures or inept management- who knows why. Doesn’t matter, just needs to be fixed. Five minutes is completely inappropriate time to wait when employees stand and watch you and do nothing.
10 minutes is an even longer and inappropriate time, when it gets to 15, you wonder if they’re going to turn the lights out on you before you get to pay for your merchandise.

When I do speak to a manager I get uppity bitterness and attitude. No wonder this company is so highly rated by its employees, they're not responsible for doing anything.

When management stands around doing absolutely nothing watching someone struggling doing a complicated return and shipment order, then serves up attitude instead of an apology, you wonder how long this company is going to be in business. Certainly, I understand it's difficult to hire good people, but most of the employees have been around for decades if not longer.

Never, ever, again.

Elizabeths comment was unexpected, humorous, condescending and rude. Her customer service SUCKS. I went to buy a glass container along with a stainless steel scooper and when I realized the prices were better with Amazon Prime I decided not to get the scooper. She then made a snarky comment and said “well the items we sell are going to be priced quiet high…”

I will no longer be a returning customer thanks to Miss. Elizabeth

This store has amazing products but they are a little pricey which is the only reason why I did not give it 5 stars. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

This store has containers, shelves and storage for every room in your home and garage. Prices range from expensive to moderately priced. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend.

Been here several times and the workers always asked if I needed assistance. The place is always clean and organized (as it should be for the store that it is). They have unique items that can help with organization. The only down side is the pricing, everything is a bit high priced.

Terrible service for a highly priced store. Cashier stood at the register doing nothing on a Saturday afternoon and gave me attitude when I asked for help. Cold and rude.

I love this place. It is a little pricey but I can always find that odd something I need to make life easier! I have shopped at THE CONTAINER STORE forever!
