I was amazed by this garden the minute I entered! Honestly it is such a beautiful place - peaceful, educational, relaxational and full of lush green vegetation!

There are two major things I appreciated about this place. Firstly there are so many nice, sometimes hidden, small cozy seating areas. They are so inviting and absolutely perfect for an afternoon relax. It gave me a lot of inspiration for my garden. Secondly it's evident someone took time and thought through about the design of the gardens as it seemed to be perfected. The similar colored plants, whether they were blooming or not, were matched together, sections of plants and flowers seamlessly transforming into completely different sections, shapes and sizes complimenting each other and amazing water features connecting everything together! It was just something I did not expect and made me feel very happy and at peace.

Be sure to grab a map at the entrance as the place is rather big and is easy to get lost (if I remember correctly I did not see any signposts). There is a restaurant in the middle of the garden, offering delicious coffee and smoothies, so make sure you stop here for a little while.

Gardens are perfect for any age, everyone will find something interesting. I did see a lot of people celebrating prom, quincenera of birthdays but as this place is big, it never felt crowded. We have seen plenty of animals around such as ducks, squirrels, rabbits and ducks. In addition to that there is a little petting zoo near the restaurant.

There is a lot of art around, whether small sculptures or big statues, it compliments the gardens very well. Overall I loved the time spent here (over 4 hours) and if I am ever in Dallas I would visit again. Price of 20 USD is very reasonable as I can only imagine how much work and effort comes to maintaining this garden!

PS: Visit this place even if it's a very hot day, you'd be surprised how much the vegetation and water features cool this place down.

This place is beautiful! Beyond the plants and nature you get to experience a wide variety of scenery and spaces. Even when surrounded by other people there is room for you to feel immersed in nature.
Adore the walkways. Perfect for strollers and more throughout. Despite being hot there were multiple cool down locations eithing reasonable walking distance. Shade and water features also kept cool spots. My three month old was able to do great through the nearly 100F day with a fan and the cool down spots. Highly suggest packing your own cold waters in as well as snacks.

We spent a beautiful day at Dallas Arboretum. It’s a gorgeous botanical garden that’s pretty big and has a large variety of different plants and flowers. It’s absolutely worth visiting and probably one of the best places in Dallas to see.

This place was absolutely beautiful! We came with two kids and honestly under prepared. We forgot a stroller for our 2 year old and he needed it. Lots of walking! You can also bring in your own water and that would have helped us. We didn’t know they had events that weekend so there was plenty more to see like a petting zoo and story time so maybe lookup to see if there are any events. The price was very good considering how big this place is. We honestly could not get to it all because our toddler tired out and so did we carrying him. We brought our portable fan which was a huge help and they have trams to take you different stops throughout the garden which was a huge help to get back to the front without walking. Highly recommend and we will be returning prepared next time! Also note to get your tickets in advance to ensure your entry and time.

Just beautiful! So thoughtful in it's design, every turn is a surprise. I love the flow of tight shady woody spaces that open into larger lawns. Be on the lookout for interesting insects and birds. The arboretum is a true Dallas gem.

Beautiful place to walk around with lake view. We’ve always had good memories of this place. A really good picnic spot with family and friends. Great venues for weddings too.
Make sure you come here on a good weather, when its not too hot and you’ll enjoy it.

They’ve so many varieties of flowers with such detailed information. We learnt a lot from our visit. This place is also well equipped for wheelchair assistance and kid friendly.

It’s an amazing experience. The park is very well taken care of. The entire landscape is updated every month to introduce so many varieties of plants. The Instagram account is updated and VP Dave gives amazing inputs on plants.

Such a beautiful place! Very expansive and immaculate grounds filled with color, history, and stunning views. Got to participate in a tour of the familial home of the Dallas DeGolyer Estate which was breathtaking and educational. Definitely recommend visiting, but come prepared for the Texas heat!

It's amazing!
I definitely recommend it, it's beautiful, very big too
I arrived walking, so I didn't have to pay the $15 dollars that they charge for parking, I just paid my entrance fee, it cost me $5 dlls
I took a lot of photos, and I took my time to spend the day, I arrived before 10 am and by 3 pm I still hadn't finished exploring
They have a place to fill your water bottle, and the bathrooms are very clean, they also sell snacks and food inside, but I brought my own lunch and fruit, so I hardly spent inside, it depends on you

Beautiful walk. Kid area was nice. A couple spots for water play in the kid area, my kiddo was upset I didn't bring extra clothes so she could get wet. So bring extra clothes and avoid the melt downs. The gardens were beautiful. Plenty of photo ops, places to rest, and water mist stations.

This was the best one of all the ones I went in Texas. Very clean and the whole location is beautiful and well kept. I recommend taking your children there.

Beautiful year round. Events include adults and children so very family friendly. Not as much shade as you might expect so wear sunscreen and a hat. A little pricey.watch for events and specials to help keep costs down. Unusual cool items at the gift shop.but again pricey.
3/5 stars due to prices and lack of shade in several areas. If Texas has cooler temps would get a 4/5 stars.but heat and no shade= less fun.

Gorgeous! Great place to walk around. Plants are well identified. Many places with beautiful scenery to just sit and soak in the beauty. Many covered areas with fans.

AAAAAAAmazing! We went to the children’s garden and the full garden including the mid garden cafe and everything was incredibly beautiful. Amazing place to walk around so bring your walking shoes and water. We sat down on one of their many garden areas and it was incredibly beautiful and relaxing. Will be coming back for fall.

Every time I visit, it just is not enough time. Gorgeous gardens, tranquil settings around White Rock Lake. An oasis in an otherwise chaotic area.

An absolutely stunning place. Coming from El Paso, we don't get to see much green. We surely don't get to see beautifully aged trees. The 12 Days of Christmas displays where amazing. If we had known about this before we made the road trip, we would have planned for an extra night just to see it all lit up at night. Sadly, we had to head back to the desert.
