Like the other reviews, they were sent out by the utility company to trim trees away from the power lines. Man knocks on my door and says he needs access to my back yard and explains why. I said okay is it going to get cleaned up afterwards? Oh yes, he says! Liar…. I came home to a mess in the back yard that I have to clean up! Wow…. How unprofessional…. And agree with another reviewer…. Will NEVER hire them for my own personal use if this is how they do business. Oh and lesson learned…. WILL never give them access again!

Update: They kindly sent someone out to my property to clean up the debris. Tbh it was the principle of the matter and that I had asked if he was going to clean up any mess they made and he said yes. I do appreciate the fact that they made it right in the end. Thank you!

These guys were hired by Centerpoint to trim trees and were really sloppy. They didn't care how they cut my trees, they just did it as fast as they could. You could tell they stated cutting a branch, changed their mind, and cut others. I will never use these idiots for my personal use. Stay away.

They fertilize our tree, and watch out for diseases we might not notice. And it is a beautiful Shumard Oak!

Davey Tree Expert Company trespassed on my property and loitered for approximately 10 minutes, then retreated onto public roads after I stared at them for a while wondering why they had ignored the 3 no trespassing signs at the entrance to the property. Even after reaching public roads again, they sat parked, on the wrong side of the road for another 3 minutes or so until driving away. Mind you this is not a drive way, they drove way onto my property without hesitation.

The arborist that came to evaluate my trees was very knowledgeable, very helpful, and communicated very well. In a word, he was outstanding.

CenterPoint hired Davey Tree to cut back branches from the power lines in our area. Totally understandable thing to need to be done but they totally scalped our only blooming tree in our backyard. Left branch debris all over the yard, didn’t even cut the actual dead branches, and knocked over items in our yard like potted plants and torches, and didn’t put them back. We have dogs and they had left our back gate wide open with no care in the world. I would never hire this company or suggest them to anyone if this is how they leave a job. This is the worst tree trimming job I have ever seen.

Davey's tree crew performed a tree removal and the pruning for a variety of trees at our property. The supervisor and crew arrived on time and commenced promptly with work following appropriate pre-job work site review and demarcation of work safety zones. We had several crepe myrtles pruned away from our neighbors' garage and from our own house and shaped. The crew also pruned dead limbs and selective limbs from our pecans, bur oak, magnolia, redbud and pines to improve appearance. Several oak limbs were removed from above the house to avoid potential storm damage. We've been working together on improving the shape of the trees for a number of seasons without being overly aggressive. Our 31-year-old multi-stemmed magnolia looks its best ever after several years patiently and healthily molding its appearance to this point. In addition, the crew also assisted in mounting an eastern screech owl house on one of the pines. We hope our owls return this year. The supervisor and crew were professional, helpful and responsive as we collaborated together throughout the work activities during the day. My wife and I were very pleased and satisfied with how our trees look and can't wait until springtime to see how they appear in full leaf glory. Thanks, Davey for another job well-done.

The people involved with this company were extremely professional and climbed into the very tops of some very scary trees. They were very careful, lowering tree branches to the ground and taking care of the surrounding vegetation. I have had pruners in the past that butchered the trees, leaving them looking forlorn and awful. Even with extensive pruning a very large branches, my trees were left looking beautifully natural. I would recommend them to anyone. They also did a treatment for the roots of one particular tree that was suffering, and hopefully will make it last longer.

Curt (the arborist) and his team did a great job safely trimming our trees. Curt was easy to work with, explained really well how the trees were going to be trimmed and why, and the team on the ground doing the actual trimming was efficient, polite, and careful to clean the garden very well after they were done.

I have used Davey for about 20 years. They come every 4 years and trim my huge Ash tree. This year they also did deep root fertilizing. They are the best. My tree looks healthy. They cleaned up my back neighbor's yard and my side neighbor's yard after trimming the over-hanging branches that were in their yards. One of the limbs was on the roof top of my back neighbor's house - all taken care of. We asked ahead of time that they put their dogs inside while the men were working. Great job!

Davey team did an excellent job all around from the representative who worked with me on what should be done to the crew that came out and did the work. Top notch all the way.

Really helped remove deadwood from multiple trees, shaping without removing too much of the canopy. Cleaned up after themselves, courteous. Climbed trees as needed for more precise tree trimming.

Center Point hired this firm to cut trees from the forest behind my house. My neighbor watched them toss some of the large branches over the fence in my back yard to avoid having to clean them up.

I just asked one of the employees how long he has a very bad talking to me some other person was no better after 20 of standing in my driveway he said went I was just calling the police, he said 1 hours ok I will see 1 hours later today I will call the police out here.

DAVEY Trees is not the cheapest tree service. Nonetheless, they provide quality tree care guided by an arborist. I have been using them for years and plan to continue to use them. When my trees do not need trimming or feeding Curt says so. He explains the rationale for their trimming style. I appreciate those actions. Today three men came out and trimmed up my front yard oaks that are taller than our two story house. They do not over trim. Never create “lion’s tails”. They clean up excellently. DAVEY TREES also contributes to tree research referenced by Texas A&M (A&M told me this.) I feel my huge trees and future arborists benefit from DAVEY TREES.
