"I've been on the trail for weeks now, and I was about ready to chew on a piece of leather when I rode into Ben Wheeler. I saw the sign for The Forge and decided to give it a try. I was glad I did.

The cheeseburger was the best I've had in a long time. The meat was juicy and flavorful, and the bun was toasted just right. The fries were crispy and delicious.

The service was top-notch as well. The waitress was friendly and attentive, and she made sure my drink was always full.

If you're ever in Ben Wheeler, I highly recommend The Forge. You won't be disappointed. "

Visited this place with my family Sunday evening 07/30/2023 at 6 pm with my family we came in and sat down not one person greeted us we sat there for almost 20 minutes multiple other people came in after us and were seen and had drinks and orders taken while we were like ghosts in the restaurant, highly disappointed considering we drove almost 30 minutes to get there!
Wish management would take care of Businesses I’ve been in Customer service my whole life and that was flat out ridiculous we all just got up and left!

Good place to try if you're in the mood for some "bar" food. The live music was a tad loud, so casual conversation was a bit difficult.

Great food and atmosphere. The best bloody marry and pizzas in east Texas. You have to check it out if you are ever in the area. They usually have live music as well. One of our favorite spots for a night out!

Back story.

Grew up in Chicago, moved to rural Alabama just a few years ago. I'm a superintendent for a construction company and travel for a living.

Found this restaurant on Google while staying up the road at the Fairfield Inn.

Upon walking in, we waited around 5 minutes to be given menus, while others that walked in after us got menus.

Ordered Mac and cheese for the little guy, it was Kraft for $7 or $8.

I had a well done Burger. Note they don't let you pick the temperature of the burger.

Personally I wouldn't come here again. The food was nothing to write home about.

Not much to do in Ben Wheeler, but the Forge offered great food and the friendliest of staff. Had the turkey wrap and a pizza. Def recommend the wrap.

Food was lacking in flavor. Not a bad scene for the night life, but has more of a bar feeling. The little ones (7 & 11) didn't enjoy it very much. I'm sure it's a great place, for younger crowd, but not super young.

Hands down, best restaurant in East Texas. Drinks are great, beer is cold, and the atmosphere ties everything together. On the several occasions I’ve been, I have never been disappointed and I don’t think I ever will be. Keep up the good work y’all, it’s nice having a place like this in East Texas

Place is a little loud for conversations, but the staff is nice, food is good, and prices are decent.

What a neat place. A family friendly environment, food was awesome, drinks were great.

The Forge was fantastic the staff was super friendly and professional and the live entertainment provided by Chris Cunningham was absolutely amazing I can't wait to go again!

This is a very kid friendly American food restaurant. The outdoor dining area is great for kids to run around at and the food is pretty good, too. Staff was very friendly.

Went with my two other girlfriends had a good time music wasn't too loud so we could talk

Pizza was burnt. Too much bread on sandwich. Waitress was very friendly. Prices too high for quality of food. Parking stinks
